Description
It is a garden cottage situated 300 metres (4 minute walk) from the beach with a separate entrance and secure parking. It consists of a large open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area with wooden floors and high ceilings and a separate bedroom with two single beds and en-suite bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is fully fitted for self-catering with a fridge/freezer, oven, hob and microwave. A single bed can be put in the lounge area to make the cottage suitable for a third person. There is a shaded outdoor area with barbecue facilities.The beach, supermarket, and nearby restaurants are a short walk away, and there are plenty of options for day trips with a car that allow you to explore the countless beautiful and historic sites the Cape Peninsula has to offer.The small town of Strand is located 25 minutes from Cape Town International Airport. It boasts one of the safest and best beaches in the country, stretching 5 km with fine white sand, offering perfect conditions for swimming, sunbathing and surfing, amongst others. Stunning sunsets over beautiful views of the Cape Peninsula can be enjoyed from the beach, only a stroll away from your cottage. Strand is at the foot of the Helderberg Mountain with many wine farms right on your doorstep, and a further 15 minute drive will take you to the heart of the Cape wine-land region. During the whale season a 50 minute drive along a scenic coastal road to Hermanus will give you a view of these majestic animals.

The cottage was well equipped, very comfortable and close to the beach and other amenities. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely "seaside" holiday and would definitely recommend the accommodation to anyone considering a stay in the cottage at 19 on Hill!

“THE PERFECT STAY”
At the end of our wonderfull trip through South Africa we had some relaxing days at the cottage from Nick and Susan .Its situated ca.100 from the beach and restaurants. This cottage is quite new and full furnished and provided with everything you need. Easy to prepare your dinner in the well equiped and new kitchen. Possible to enjoy breakfast in the morningsun because of the adjoining garden. In short we were impressed by there great hospitality and help to enjoy this region. We can fully recommend this cottage. .

“A truly pleasurable stay over”
We had a warm welcome from our hostess who immediately made us feel at home. The flatlet actually looks like on the photos on their web page, which is not always the case in our experience. So walking in at the front door was a very pleasant surprise. Everything speaks of quality and good taste, from the build in kitchen furniture, the lovely wooden floors, everything. No, I am not laying it on too thick; this really is what we experienced. The flatlet is well appointed and comfortable to stay in and one lacks for nothing. W were impressed by the attention to detail, from the welcoming note and complimentary bottle of wine, to the bag of charcoal! The place is spacious, yet cosy. Do yourself a favour and go stay there for a spell – you won’t regret it. We’ll be back!
