TOP VILLA RENTAL IN TOBAGO. AWARDED BY FLIPKEY/TRIPADVISOR.
'Do not Pass Up This Little Jewel' (Review 2012)
Dolphin Boutique Villa is your Caribbean home from home, tucked away in a secluded spot across from a uniquely unspoilt beach in upscale Bacolet Point. This stylish, spacious villa, full of the vibrant colours of the Caribbean, has a garden with so many lovely flowers that passers-by ask to take photos.
Once you arrive at Dolphin Villa you will receive a warm welcome from Tobagonian Kelvin who manages the villa. As you listen to the gentle plashing of the waves and marvel at the sight of hummingbirds and other amazing birds (Tobago has more species than square miles), your cares will be forgotten. Now you are ready to experience the laid-back island vibes and immeasurable beauty of the place.
Chill by the 41' pool, relax on cushioned loungers while watching hummingbirds enjoy the Cape honeysuckle and butterflies fluttering round the zinnias; or just hang out in the hammock (there is one for baby too), swaying gently to the sound of the surf.
The hustle & bustle of city life is forgotten. No need to rush to the shops. You can book dinner for the first evening; The manager/ chef's fish is legendary (he buys it the same day off a boat at Pigeon Point),so is his red bean stew! Alternatively you can pop to the nearby Havana Bistro, or prepare for yourselves in the huge, superbly equipped, kitchen
Slip into the pool after dark and marvel at the stars and the fire flies. It is 3 minutes to the beach where from March to September you can look for leatherback turtles that nest on Minister Bay beach.. Back from the beach, the Hibiscus room's massage shower will prepare you for a perfect night's sleep.. Next morning wake to the sound of the sea and the birds. An early morning walk on the beach close by is a favourite way to start the day. Relax by the pool all day. Watch the plasma TV or listen to the music system, which has I Pod docking and flash drive so you can enjoy your own music, while sea breezes waft into the villa. Or arrange trips to bird-watch, to the rain-forest, on a glass-bottom boat, or a deep-sea boating expedition-all with Kelvin's help. No mean angler,as a young man he crewed on a boat that caught a record-breaking Marlin. One group of guests from New Mexico not only marvelled at the relatively cheap cost of deep-sea fishing, but caught 12 Tuna in only 4 hours.
Alternatively, you can enjoy an active life; a round of golf or scuba-diving followed by a beach party, or taste the local night life; or just chill at one of the many fabulous beaches, enjoy a local dish or two, and then swim or snorkel to your heart's content.
Determined to make you fall in love with his beloved island, Kelvin will do all he can to make you comfortable. Attention is paid to the little things that matter; flowers in your room, candles, coolers, even a sewing kit. Nothing is too much for Kelvin- he will do as much or as little as you wish- help with car hire if you want a small run-around (there is a Honda CRV for rent at the villa), show you the beach, accompany you around on the first day if you would like that. He can advise on the best places to visit and where to eat, cook for you (ingredients are included in the meal price)and, should you wish to self-cater, will buy in groceries ready for when you arrive.
Why not come and experience Carnival, or goat and crab races at Easter? There are fishing tournaments, yacht and power boat races to enjoy.Or just stay home by the huge pool and bask in the sun to the sound of the waves and the birds? Or chill while you enjoy the plasma TV.
Kelvin can also arrange reflexology, aromatherapy massage, thai yoga massage or healing therapy at the villa. After so much pampering, will you ever want to go home?

Wonderful and Relaxing

We spent a week at Dolphin Villa and can't say enough good things about both the house and the owners, Kelvin and Marilyn. From the moment we reserved, and then arrived and were met at the airport, until we checked out, Kelvin was Mr. Service, and always ready to respond to any request. We throughly enjoyed relaxing by the huge pool, or enjoying all the beautiful birds from the hamock. We used the kitchen for preparing the majority of our meals, so we could eat on the patio by the pool.Don't pass up this jewell, or the chance to meet and get to know the owners. Read more
Thanks so much, Jerry and Sylvia, for your lovely words. It was a delight to meet you and enjoy our mutual sense of humours! We'd love to have you back.

Beautiful home near the beach with amazing hosts

My family and my sister's family spent a week in the Dolphin Villa. Kelvin is a most gracious host, making sure all of our needs were met and providing us with great information about things to do on the island. Kelvin pointed us to a great beach for our toddlers as well. He was always available when we needed him but also respected our privacy. He also is an incredible cook. He prepared two meals for our family that easily rivaled a local restaurant we visited.
The villa is located near Scarborough but there is not much within an easy walk except for the beach. The villa location does make it easy to travel both up and down the island. We enjoyed short hikes and access to the scuba shops in Crown Point.
The villa itself was very comfortable. The kitchen is very well outfitted for any cooking you want to do. The four bedrooms all have air conditioning and bathrooms. They were also able to help us with portable cribs/tents and a high chair for our toddlers. The living/dining room is huge and very comfortable. The entryway has a hammock and swing chair.
We loved our time in the villa and Kelvin made the experience so easy and comfortable. We cannot recommend Dolphin Villa enough. Thank you, Kelvin and Marylin!

My husband and I spent a week at the Dolphin villa in October and it was the best time we have had. The villa was very nice and clean just like the pictures and the best part was the kitchen which had everything you needed to make a meal.
Both Marilyn and Kelvin were very helpful in planning our vacation and giving us advice. Kelvin helped cook couple of meals for us and it was delicious .
We liked Tobago so much that we are planning on going back there again.

Kelvin and Marilyn were great hosts. My friends and I stayed here to relax after our final examinations. I am confident when I say our expectations were more than met, Kelvin was there to greet us and even provided us with shelter as rain was falling when we arrived. We felt more then welcome as the alphabet magnets on the fridge were arranged just for us and there was also a small token for us inside :D . The property was very easy to find and although just a few turns off the highway we had a lovely view of the ocean and waking up to the sound of waves breaking shore...(don't think I need to explain). All the rooms in the villa are very spacious... especially the main living area and the kitchen where all 5 of my friends and myself cooked our delicious meals without having to say excuse me or sorry. No need to speak about the pool..as it speaks for itself..but I must say...it was great. My friends have been asking about where I stayed when they saw the pictures and I was more then happy to let them know and give contact information for Dolphin Villa. Great service, Great property. More than pleased.

The dolphin villa was a fantastic place to stay in all aspects, ranging from the friendly owners to the comfortable and clean rooms. My friends and I spent a week here and it was great we thoroughly enjoyed the pool, it was used at every opportunity we had. We also enjoyed the booming music system which featured an iPod docking station that was a welcome feature as we hooked up our iPhones to it and listened to all our music as we swam in the pool and bbq'd poolside. The bedrooms were amazing and had all the comforts of home, along with comfortable beds. The house is very spacious as there were six of us and we never once bumped into each other even while all of us were cooking in the kitchen which itself was very large. The parking space allowed for the two cars we arrived in to fit nicely with space for a third and enough room to unpack easily. All in all it was a great stay at the villa and my friends and I cannot wait to go back. Read more
And we enjoyed meeting you all- postgraduate students who were delightful, considerate and fun. What more could we have asked for? Marilyn and Kelvin
Fabulous House on Tobago

The Dolphin Villa is located on Bacolet Point near Scarborough on the atlantic side of Tobago. It is a spacious home with a large, well equipped kitchen, huge great room with dining area and a comfortable couch with a flat screen tv equipped with full cable service. A spacious covered veranda with hammock and dinette with chairs makes a comfortable area for lounging, coffee, breakfast or cocktails. All 4 of the bedrooms have adjoining baths for convenience and privacy. The pool is well kept and was used on a daily basis. Cab rides to the Caribbean side beaches, Storr Bay, Pigeon Point and Buccoo point were reasonable and about 20 minutes in duration. Mr. Kelvin Gordon, the on site owner/manager is accommodating, friendly and attentive. He can be as available or invisible as you would like. Beautiful tropical gardens with abundant birds adorn the property. I highly recommend this property.
Beautiful, very relaxing, wonderful accomodations!

The home was absolutely fabulous. It was spacious, and very beautiful. The roofed patio as you come to the house is gorgeous and very inviting.
The location was great! We were within walking distance to a beach that was vacant of people the firwt time, the next time there was only one person on the beach. It was absolutely wonderful.
The amenities at the home were endless. Kelvin was very gracious as a host and was there to help us with whatever we wanted or needed. From taxis to cookbooks to local customs and lore, we were never without anything we wanted or needed. He even showed my husband how to cut coconut with a machete! In 28 years of marriage, I have never seen my husband so relaxed. We both loved it.
There is nothing that I can say that was bad about our visit! Oh, wait... the only thing bad was we had to return to the States too soon!!!
We will definitely be returning to this absolutely beautiful, relaxing, comfortable villa soon!

I was born and raised in beautiful Trinidad and Tobago, so when I finally got a chance to take my family to visit my homeland I wanted to make sure that everything was perfect. With the help of Kelvin and Marilyn, our stay at Dolphin Villa accomplished just that. The villa is located in a quiet upscale neighborhood just 10 minutes from Scarborough. We were very pleased to see that everything represented in the description of the Villa was right on. Everything that you need to be comfortable was provided. The rooms were all spacious, and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen contained everything that you might possibly need, and the living area was well suited for entertaining large families. My favorite part about our one week stay was that we all enjoyed different aspects of the Villa. My kids loved the large well maintained pool, the assortment of board games and the satellite TV (go figure... just yards from a beautiful beach and they preferred the pool). My wife enjoyed waking up in the morning to the fresh picked mangoes (her favorite fruit), drinking coffee in the hammock, and watching the wide assortment of birds in the garden. As for me, I enjoyed the fact that for one full week I had no desire to check emails, answer phone calls or watch a single minute of television. Instead in spent it on the one mile stretch of unspoiled beach just across the street from the villa, and introducing my wife and kids to the culture and people of Trinidad and Tobago. I would highly recommend Dolphin Villa to anyone looking to get away in paradise, and I will definitely be back soon.

this is our fourth time here, simply cannot stay away and can't ever get back quick enough. As you chill in the gallery relaxing in the hammock or just sitting admiring the sea views your senses indulge in the unique abundance of tropical flowers, tiny blue green paeakeets on the rooftops and birdsong all around.
Its realy difficult to drag yourself away from lazing in the sun warmed pool surrounded by dazzling hummings birds sipping honey from perfumed blossom, but, there is so much else to do on this unspoilt Carribeen treasure.
Manager Kelvin knows just where to look for turtles, the best times to take a fishing and with the right crew or swim in the reef encircled turquoise seas. Our most unfogettable adventure is always the trip to the rain forest.Flocks of huge red and blue parrots screaching just obove your heads, deafening, weaver birds nest dangling precariously from tree tops, drinking freshely squeezed fruit juices while blue Tanagers and Mot Mots check you out its just so different and beautiful. Then marval at the breathtaking views as you drive down to fishing villages almost untouched by tourism but at the same time be delighted by great local restaurants serving the true tastes of Tobago.Discover boat trips to secret bays where snorkling is safe and rewarding, perhaps even swim with green turtles!
After a hard day of truly memorable experiencescome back and relax in your comfortable air-conditioned room, enjoy Kelvins fabulous cooking, his passion for the cullinary bounty of his beautiful island is in every dish or cook for yourselves.
Adjourn to the terrace or sit by the pool with a large nightcap, watch the fireflies and listen to the treefrogs then retire to your king size beds and the cool touch of the finest cotton sheets, the fragrance of Jasmin drifting in your moonlit windows.
Idyllic hardly covers it.From the moment we leave we're planning our return.'Dolphin Boutique Villa'
unquestionably 5 stars,we'd give it more if we could.

Tobago is probably one of the least commercialised and most unspoilt islands in the Caribbean. Long may it stay that way. We loved the laid back atmosphere of the island and Dolphin Villa was a very chilled out place to stay. It was very difficult to drag ourselves off anywhere when there was so much relaxing to do around the pool, even with superb scuba diving on the doorstep. A billion thanks to Kelvin for his care and amazing cooking. You ain't tasted fish until Kelvin's catch is in front of you. We tried our hand at fishing too (never even caught a trout before) and it was an experience not to be missed. Everything was sorted for us by our host - we just had to enjoy ourselves! A lovely, stylish property in a quiet area, great access to the beach and with every comfort and convenience. Kelvin on-site made us feel very safe. We'll be back and will recommend friends to the villa.
