This was a lovely, clean place with a picturesque back yard and a back porch with a table, chairs, and covered by a translucent, Uv-proof awning. There was also a beautiful front porch we could have used, had we wanted. We were a 15 min. walk from High Park, and a 3 min. walk from the subway. Gerat grocery shopping is directly across Dundas (shortcut to that through the back lane) and small fruit and veg, as well as excellent butchers, are a ten min walk down Roncesvalles. Hughes Room is close and regularly has some great musicians. The couch is a pullout, and 7 can eat easily at the table there; but, I would not recommend that more than 2 people try to live there. There are 2 large closets, and some living rm cupboards for storage. The kitchen is good to work in, and has a door onto the back porch. There are (closeted) stacked washer and dryer, an old but excellent dishwasher, stove, and fridge. The neighbourhood is great and we fell in love with Roncesvalles and go back often to shop there and eat in the restaurants. The only negative, was that the key in the lock box (the 1 tme my husband needed it) did not actually get him all the way into the apt (which requires 2 keys - front door and inside door). We wondered why the one key wouldn't have been for the unit's back door.
We quickly realized the mix up with the key and have since simplified it with a single key operating both the porch and the front door.

I have stayed here repeatedly for business in Toronto. My most recent visit was during the worst winter and it was warm and quiet. Previously my stays were in the summer and I love the garden porch and BBQ. It was so nice that I ended up doing most of my work on the porch. Never needed to rent a car as it is so close to the subway and shops.
I highly recommend this wonderful place. I have stayed in the one bedroom garden apt by myself and the 3 bedroom suite with my family and Dorota and Wies really make it feel like a home. I am not going back to hotel or Condo renting on any future visits.
