Description
On a ridge overlooking a landscape of rice fields, jungle and the Gunung Agung vulcano this pool villa has an unique location far enough, north of Ubud to avoid the tourst crowd there. On a complete silent road and with only a few villages within walking distance this is the real and original Bali getaway with all modern comfort and a lovely lap pool. This is a house for that 20 % of visitors of Bali who are really interested in the Bali culture and landscape. This hilly area is full of holy springs, temples and an ancient complexe where the old kings of Bali spend the hot season and were buried. Near is the bathing temple the Pura Gunung Kawi with a great restaurant overlooking the bathing and swimming. The late president Soekarno build a palace 10 minutes away in Tampaksering overlooking the Pura Tirta Empul, the main ritual bathing temple of Bali.
Around the house nice walks can be made which is in most places in Bali impossible due to the heavy traffic on the narrow roads while paths do not exist.
The house lies between Tampaksering and Tegalalang both 10 minutes away with a traditional pasar abundant with local produce and no tourists present.
The 25-minute drive to Ubud along quiet country roads and through traditional villages by car or motor is a pleasure in itself.
Wayan Sri is the female staf who takes care of the kitchen, cleaning and laundry. Wayan the male staf does the garden and security.
Wifi is provided by 3G and the use is limited to emails and informational visit of internet sites. Higher use can be provided at a cost.
Electricity is capped to 35 units a day being € 5. This is more than enough for normal use of electricity. However extra costs of electricity have to be paid by adding credits to the meter. These will be available by phone.
For stays longer than 2 weeks electricity costs are extra to be paid by the tenant fully due to reduced long stay rent price and having a longer responsability for the care of the house.

Response from the owner Vielen Dank für Ihre Bewertung. Ich bin froh, das Sie haben von die Landschaft rund um das Haus so genossen. Die ländliche und authentische balinesische Veranstaltungsort ist die größte Attraktion des Hauses. Ein schöner Alleinlage führt dazu, dass der Weg dahin nicht immer so einfach ist, wie Sie aus den Nachrichten wissen könnte ich im Voraus geschickt haben. Auch dank für den Hinweis, dass das Haus so gut gepflegt ist, auch wenn Sie in ihren Bewertung das eigentlich nicht als wichtig erfahren als "Backpacker". Nach der Ankunft haben Sie dann auch darum gebeten auf das Reinigungspersonal verzichten zu können. Ein Haus in den Tropen muss regelmäßig gereinigt werden. Aber ich habe Ihre Bete erfüllt und das Reinigungspersonal während Ihres Aufenthalts weg geschickt. Natürlich war dadurch das Haus schmutzig und voller Ungeziefer nach Ihrer Abreise. Ich konnte nicht mit Ihrer Anfrage entsprechen auch den Gärtner Wayan nicht arbeiten zu lassen, weil der Garten gepflegt werden muss, und die Haustiere gefüttert. Wayan war der Mann, der so freundlich war Ihnen bei Ankunft um zwei Uhr nachts zu begrüßen. Schade, daß Sie diesen Mann danach Vorwurf das er wahrend seine Arbeit im Garten Ihnen beobachten zu haben. Indonesier haben unterschiedliche Vorstellungen von Privatsphäre und Ausländer, die das Land nicht kennen kann das manchmal schwierig sein. Außerdem, sein Verhalten im Titel Ihrer Bewertung als "Big Brother is watching you" zu charakterisieren, spiegelt ein Missverständnis des Romans von Orwell, weil Sie die Kontrolle eines totalitären Staates mit den Augen eines einfachen balinesischen Gärtner gleich stellen. Zum Glück meine anderen Gäste haben nichts als Lob für das Personal. Ich denke Sie haben eigentlich auch sehr genossen um auf die großen Terrassen des Hauses ihren Yogha zu praktizieren im Mitte von ein fabelhaftes Landschaft und in ein großartiges und großen Haus zu verbleiben das Sie für etwa € 60 pro Tag alles inklusive mieten könnten. Um dan nur 2 stars zu geben nach dem alles was wir für Sie gemacht haben macht mich recht traurig.
