This private villa is nestled in a village with superb rice fields views, just 10 minutes from the cultural life of Ubud. This dream-getaway comfortably sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms & pool & nanny for anyone traveling with children.

The Space

Come to River Moon and be seduced by the quiet, contemplative environment ideal for rest and rejuvenation. Once your batteries are recharged there are many cultural, adventure and culinary experiences to be found at your doorstep.

Guest Access

River Moon Villa is your own private sanctuary in an enclave of 10 houses known as Desa Bulan ('Moon Village') just 3km south of the bustle of Ubud. There is a stunning communal pool which is scarcely used.

Interaction with Guests

Our housekeeper, Kadek, will greet you when you arrive and will be available during your stay to answer any questions you might arise. Our wonderful, yet discreet staff will make your breakfast in the morning and clean your houses daily. In the evening a small team come for the evening turn-down service.

The Neighbourhood

Nestled on the edge of the rice field with uninterrupted views into the horizon River Moon Villa is secluded and quiet. One of its advantages is that it close to Ubud with all its conveniences and yet it is located in a Balinese village. It's very peaceful here with sublime rice field views and is perfect for a getaway.

Getting Around

Some sort of transportation is recommended. The staff can help arrange both bicycles and scooters. If you wish to drive yourself then we can recommend a reliable car hire service. Alternatively, you can hire a driver to just take you into Ubud or be on-call 24/7 or just for half days.

Other Things to Note

Each morning your friendly, unobtrusive staff will prepare you breakfast from the fully equipped kitchen.

After that you can sit, stretch, curl up, snooze, cuddle or rest in throughout the house.

River Moon comes with wifi, towels, a full kitchen, pool, 2 beds, 2 bathrooms and an outdoor bale. Minimalist white tropical living fitted out atmospheric lighting and comfortable and beautiful furniture.

At dusk the staff come for a turn-down service which includes turning on lights, closing your mosquito nets, a general clean and ensuring you are set up for the evening.

River Moon was designed with the knowledge that young children would call it home. Everything is on one level, bedrooms are next door to each other and the two ensuite bathrooms are interconnectable meaning that you're never far away. We also have built a wonderful relationship with Kadek who lives in the local village. She is fabulous with children and we can organise for her to spend time with your family and children during your stay.

Recommendations for massages, yoga classes and other modalities, motorbikes, cars with drivers and tourist information is all available on request. If there's more you want then just ask!
