New walled villa comprising a main house with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, and living room; and a separate guest house with another bedroom and kitchenette, all opening out to a 7 x 4 meter pool with a soothing fountain. All rooms have double sliding glass doors with curtains that face the pool area. All rooms in the main house have adjoining interior doors that can also be closed for privacy. Fiber Internet service provides fast wifi and cable TV.
Conveniently located mid-way between the walking road into Penestanan and the paved road thru Penestanan Kelod. Peaceful and private, yet just a 5 minute walk from Eve's Spa in one direction or Nirvana Villas in the other.
When you step inside the gate, you will feel that this is not the usual cramped vacation rental. Inside you will find spacious, well furnished rooms with high wooden ceilings and rich granite floors. And you will not have to stumble around trying to find a shared bathroom in the middle of the night. If you feel the urge to cook or entertain friends, you will have ample room and facilities to indulge yourself.
Outside you will see lush landscaping and hear the relaxing gurgle of the fountain emptying into a most inviting pool, large enough for a whole family to enjoy without banging elbows. Listen to the singing of Bali's birds and enjoy the sight of kites flying high overhead from your own quiet oasis.
This property was built for my family by my brother in law, using the best craftsmen and the finest quality materials throughout, creating a space where we can live happily for years to come. Within a 15-20 minute walk to Ubud's busy scene, Penestanan offers a calmer pace with no need to venture far for a relaxing day. You will find this home to be a welcome sanctuary where you can recover from a busy day on the island, or just get away from it all for a while.
The concept of this house is somewhat minimalist, favoring simple elegance over ornate decoration. Rumah Terang translates to 'bright house' and you will enjoy feeling of openness and space realized here. Western visitors will appreciate some of the conveniences we have included: a large bathroom attached to each bath room, a full bath tub in the master bath, and a full, spacious, well equipped Western style kitchen.
Your stay includes daily housekeeping and Balinese offerings. Meals and transportation easily arranged through manager, Ketut. Laundry pick-up and delivery by request.
