Description

Nestled in the serene Umbria region of Tuscany, Villa Monte is a tranquil countryside retreat surrounded by sweeping open fields, rolling hills, and boundless vistas. This idyllic villa offers an authentic taste of rural life in this picturesque locale: verdant landscapes, fragrant lavender-scented gardens, and an unmistakably Italian experience.

Originally an enchanting farmhouse, Monte boasts breathtaking panoramas of the valley, located at the heart of a natural reserve enveloped by lush woodlands, olive groves, and verdant valleys. Inside, you'll find a comfortably appointed living area, two double bedrooms, and a specially designed children's bedroom featuring four bunk beds, each with its en-suite bathroom.

Guests can indulge in leisurely swims in the private pool, complete with a soothing Jacuzzi. Strolls through the natural reserve, relaxation under the shade of ancient trees, rounds of golf at the nearby 18-hole course, or a glass of Prosecco at the golf clubhouse bar, mere minutes from the villa, offer a diverse range of pastimes.

The joy of absolute tranquility, the enchanting surroundings, and the proximity to charming villages, including one accessible on foot (although a car is recommended), boasting quaint restaurants, bakeries, organic markets, artisanal boutiques, hidden chapels, and historical landmarks, not to mention the proximity to Perugia and Cortona, collectively shape an enticing and comprehensive villa experience.

Monte enjoys the privilege of being situated in the very heart of Umbria, a region where the simple pleasures of rural life harmonize with art, history, and architecture, accompanied by delectable culinary delights and wines from the neighboring regions of Lazio and Tuscany. Florence and Rome are a mere two-hour drive from the estate, while Siena, Arezzo, Assisi, Gubbio, Todi, and Orvieto are all easily accessible. The regional capital, Perugia, is just a twenty-minute drive away and offers a rich cultural tapestry, including opera and renowned festivals such as Umbria Jazz and Eurochocolate. Other enchanting hilltop towns like Cortona and Preggio, the latter hosting an annual classical music festival, as well as the Montone Film Festival, drawing an international audience, contribute to the region's cultural richness.

Umbria, often referred to as the "green heart" of Italy, is an exquisite, mystical, and unspoiled region. Centrally located, it boasts mountains, undulating green hills, lush forests, meandering rivers, fertile farmland, hiking trails, vineyards, and awe-inspiring time-transcending vistas. Umbria yields exceptional and highly acclaimed wines, both red and white, olive oils, grains, exquisite truffles, premium prosciutto, sausages, honey, cheeses, and more, making it a gastronomic paradise waiting to be explored.
