Description

Tolly House was built in 2007 by the Earl of Leicester whose family have lived at nearby Holkham Hall since the 1750s.

Just 5 minutes walk to shops, the Quay and 2 fantastic gastro pubs (The Crown and The Globe). Tolly House makes a wonderful base for visiting the North Norfolk Coastline.

One of the most beautiful beaches in the UK can be reached by walking along the footpath by the Quay or by taking the mini train that runs beside the beach road.

Tolly House is more than a Holiday let, it is also our family holiday home and is equipped to ensure that each stay is a relaxing luxury holiday whether with friends or taking a family break.

We have 4 plasma TV’s all with Freeview, Free WIFI so you can remain connected if you desire, a selection of adults and children’s books, Board games and garden Junker. Not forgetting the log burner fire!

Separate Utility/W.C. with automatic washing machine/dryer. First floor: Relaxing large Queen bedroom, Queen sized bed, Plasma TV, en-suite bathroom with over-bath shower. Pretty Twin-bedded room. Separate Bathroom with over-bath shower. Second floor: Large bedroom fitted wardrobes and Queen size bed, round port hole window, Plasma TV. Twin bedroom with built in wardrobes, fabulous views and Plasma TV. If you are travelling with little ones, there is a microwave steriliser, travel cot, High Chair and a selection of baby and toddler toys.

The best way to see North Norfolk is by car as local transport in the area is pretty limited.

Once you are at Tolly House we leave you in peace to enjoy your holiday as a home away from home. Having said that, if there are any problems we provide you with an emergency telephone number to call so we can ensure things are dealt with as soon as possible. There is a 'Things to do' book at the house where we have given information on some of the wonderful things to do in the area. Those who have been to Norfolk before will know that all the locals love a chat, so ask in the pub, in the cafe's or a passer by in the street for any information and they will be pleased to help. Finally, Wells has a wonderful Tourist information center at the Quay. Very friendly and helpful and will be pleased to help you get the most out of your holiday.

House rules

If the Government imposes a lock down, Tolly House will offer a full refund, any booking fee's charged by Tripadvisor will be refunded at Tripadvisors discretion.

I am afraid that due to a number of guest not departing before the 10am check out time, we have had to employ extra cleaning staff to ensure the house is clean and up to standard for the next guests. Please note that if cleaners can not start the clean at 10am then £100 damage deposit will be taken to cover these extra costs.

“Perfect place”

Prior to our arrival we had very good communication from both the holiday letting agency and the owner. The helpful newsletter provided key safe details and all we needed to know about Tolly House. The photos don’t do this place the justice it deserves. Everywhere was immaculate, the bedding and towels being provided was a real benefit to us and these were also in pristine condition. We were a family of 6, who had initially planned on others joining us prior to Covid restrictions, hence why we booked a bigger house. I cannot find fault with any of the house, it was clean, tidy and well equipped. We all had the most amazing holiday in Wells and Tolly House. Thank you for allowing us to share your home.

“Everything you'd expect”

Tolly House was really lovely particularly the master bedroom. Great location situated near the main town. Great for all age groups and family gatherings. My six year old particularly enjoyed the beach and the little train rides! Nearby amusements arcade, ice creams and souvenir shops. Unfortunately there is no toilet on the top floor and a few issues with the dishwasher but overall a very enjoyable stay and would recommend.

“Lovely House”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tolly House. We visit Wells every year and have done so for the last 10 years. This was our first stay at Tolly House and it was perfect for us on our extended family trip. The house was clean and had all the extra amenities that you don’t always expect. The walk into the centre is only 5-10 mins and takes you through the lovely small streets of Wells. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“Beautiful house, great location”

We had a fantastic stay at Tolly House. It was clean and very well equipped - we especially appreciated the baby/toddler equipment. Lots of great pubs, restaurants, fish & chips and of course the beach, within walking distance. It’s the perfect base for exploring Wells and North Norfolk. Thank you!

“Tolly house stay”

House lovely and area outstanding plenty for families outdoor and indoor activities beach and harbour would recommend. Unfortunately owner did not fix dishwasher so spent week washing up. Not expected and not welcome. This problem should have been rectified within 24 hours of my notifing said problem.

“Girls Horsey Weekend”

Eight of us stayed at Tolly House for a long weekend while our horses were staying on a farm at the edge of town. We came for a girly weekend and to ride on the beach. Tolly House was perfect. Beautifully furnished, very well equipped, sunny garden, lovely quiet location yet so close to pubs and harbour. Everything you need for a fabulous weekend in Wells.
