“family holiday” The cottage was a really nice one, there was 6 adults and my then 6month old grandaughter. We had plenty of room so nobody was in one anothers way. There was plenty of information of what was around and about to do, which was helpful for us when we had done all we had planned. I phoned the owners the day before and they were really helpfull they answered all i asked. The only let down we had was the lack of cleaning my eldest daughter and myself had to clean from top to bottom as there was dog hairs everywhere and when i washed the floors i had to change the water 3 times. The drive up to the cottage is a long way from the road but we didnt mind that. Dont run out of anything as the nearest shops are a fair distance. What we all liked was the open views we had, the viaduct was in sight from the sunlounge,the people was all so frindly. Would we go again... yes we would.

“Lovely cottage ideally placed for walking in the Dales.” Cottage well equipped,spotlessly clean and cosy. Home made marmalade and fresh eggs were a treat. Hawes only 10 minutes away. Lots of walks to suit everyone. Railway line opposite was a novelty. Owners very easy to get on with and friendly - the file in the cottage which tells you everything you need to know is worth its weight in gold! We will definately return.

“Perfect” The best cottage I have stayed in. The attention to detail was amazing with underfloor heating in the bathroom, lovely comfy beds, a pretty garden and lots lots more. All this together with the sunshine and the beautiful dales what more can you ask for. I will definitely be going back.

“Beautiful location and very peaceful cosy cottage.” Had a lovely relaxing week in a cosy clean cottage in a really good location, shame it rained for three days but it didn,t stop us enjoying the beautiful scenery. “What a wonderful place to stay.” We had a wonderful week staying at Usherwoods barn. It was much larger than we had expected and had been finished and equipped to a high standard. The underfloor heating works very well and it was lovely to sit in front of the log burner in the evening. It isn't often that holiday accommodation exceeds your expectations but this certainly did. The owners were friendly and very helpful and it is in a great location. Pet friendly too. We hope to go back again.

“This was a very enjoyable family holiday.” Usherwoods Dairy was an ideal venue for ten members of our three-generation family, plus one dog and a tortoise. The owner was extremely pleasant but not at all intrusive. Everything we needed was provided and the whole place was spotlessly clean. So relaxing to watch the cows, sheep and hens in the fields next to the garden. Lovely views all around, and a very interesting area to explore. Highly recommended.

Kirby Lonsdale has good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. Easy access to Dales and Lakes with loads to see and do. “Away from it all” A lovely quiet little cottage with excellent amenities on a working farm in Upper Wharfedale. Quite remote and very peaceful, but close to some good local pubs and with wonderful scenery and walks right from the front door. The owners are very friendly and helpful without ever being obtrusive. We very much enjoyed our stay including the enforced extra day after we got snowed in! Suitable for all those who love the outdoors, perhaps less so for those craving access to modern entertainment - there is no mobile phone signal and the bright lights are many miles away!

“A superb location for country lovers” A spacious, well appointed and well located cottage set in the Lune valley. Walk just a few yards down the road and you can see the Howgill Fells and the river Lune. Although located with a few other cottages it feels private, and the owners were very helpful and welcoming. We had a memorable holiday and would certainly consider staying again. Kirkby Lonsdale (a few miles away) has a good local supermarket and plenty of pubs/restaurants.

“Fabulous property in a great location” This cottage was much bigger than we expected and very well furnished. The bedrooms were large and there was more than ample room downstairs. Great location for touring the South Lakes region and less than 30 minutes drive to Bowness on Windermere. The local pub has a really good atmosphere with friendly staff and serves a number of real ales and good food. All in all a fantastic option with or without a pet.
