Description

Welcome to our little Birdhouse!

Nestled in the woods close to the beautiful Marsh Lake this super cozy off-grid cabin could be your home base for hiking, biking, horse back riding, paddling or fishing trips that start right outside your door step.

Our cabin sleeps regularly 2, but can also accommodate 4, if the group does have no problem to sleep in the same space; there is one queen sized bed in the loft, and if wished, we can add a futon bed to it. You'll have a fully equipped kitchen, a comfy dining space, and a wood stove chilling area all in one room! Get the "Back to the Roots"-feeling by living off the grid (read propane lights, potable water and outhouse. No Internet, no shower, no power).

The Neighbourhood:

Surrounded by forest the Birdhouse offers nearby access to the lake and hiking/biking trails.

Our lively community centre contains a small library, a gym and advertises dinner/pub nights every Friday.

Other Things to Note:

IMPORTANT: You will have to fill out a credit card authorization form as a security deposit. Or a cash deposit is due of $CAD300. Both is due upon arrival!

Dear guest,
please make sure you never leave an burning/ operating cook stove and wood stove unattended during your stay.
Always make sure the wood stove door is securely locked before you go outside.
Please do not store or leave food and garbage somewhere outside around the cabin, we do have wildlife what could get attracted by its smell and may bring you in danger.
Outside fires are prohibited around the cabin.
All cabins are non smoking!
Vehicles stay in the parking lot and not near the cabin

Response from the owner Lindsay review sounds like we would have blamed her and her daughter for her action, but this is perhaps not true and as Lindsay mentioned, I have never asked her to reimburse her to do so. Still, the review sounds like she has to defend herself, but not even that is necessary in all. There was nothing to have a discussion about after I told Lindsay what happened in the driveway with our sons truck. Anyway, setting us up as we would make things up makes me sad, but I am happy to look back and forward to so many other happy guests we had and will have before and after Lindsay. Cheers, Hendrik

How do damage deposits work?
