Great Tangley Manor is a Grade I listed 11th Century Moated Manor house lovingly restored by Glyn & Anne Powell-Evans. The house is surrounded by beautiful Victorian gardens and is situated on the edge of the Surrey Hills.

We provide luxurious accommodation in a historic venue with modern day technology and home comforts, all within easy reach of excellent local amenities.

Whether it is a family get together or a board meeting please feel free to call us to discuss your requirements.

“Perfect venue for our Wedding”

We booked Great Tangley Manor for a day for our small, intimate wedding and it provided the most magical settings for our special day. We had full and exclusive use of the ground floor rooms and to the beautiful, perfectly kept grounds for drinks. We held the ceremony in the Marix Room and our "wedding breakfast" in the dining hall, with food provided by Richie, a superb caterer. Nicho, the manager at the Manor was very helpful, and there are ramps available for the small steps as one of our guests was a wheel chair user. We can unreservedly recommend this lovely, private venue in case you are looking for a truly special venue for a wedding or event.

“Perfect for family get together”

Family gathered from north, east and west for 1st wedding in 28yrs so a very special event. Very well equipped house with lots of character. Spacious bedrooms. The huge mirror was popular with the young ladies for hair and make up! Lovely walks from house and warm swimming pool . Owner greeted us and gave the welcome tour and had put our supermarket delivery in fridge for us. Excellent venue.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Nicho (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
