Honeymoon Hikers Cottage, a two bedroom cottage on St. John, in the US Virgin Islands located on five acres above beautiful Coral Bay. You will enjoy unobstructed views of Hurricane Hole, Round Bay, and East End.
There is a direct access to hiking the Virgin Island National Park for snorkeling and swimming from this property. You will find that the Honeymoon Hikers Cottage will hold it's own tranquility.
This is an eco-friendly solar powered villa in the midst of five privately owned acres in the National Park encased in historic stone walls. Truly off the grid.

the beach, SCWonderful Eco-friendly Cottage

We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute. The peaceful surroundings are fantastic and the morning sunrise over Hurricane hole was awesome. The owner (Nancy) met us the evening we arrived on St. John and advised us that we should make sure the rental jeep was in four wheel drive. The short trip starts on the Johnny Horn trail and continues up to the property.You definitely need the four wheel drive. The cottage was clean and without bugs. It has a full size fridge, gas stove and solar heated water. It took a little while for the hot water to appear from the shower but it was perfect and we never ran out of it. The electricity for the cottage is all from solar charged batteries and we never ran out of electricity either. Plenty of power for the fridge, lights and the wife's curling irons in the morning. The bed was very comfortable and waking to that beautiful sunrise each day was great. There were a couple coolers provided and we made use of them on our beach days. There is a small one bedroom efficiency below the cottage but it was not occupied at the time. Sitting outside in the lawn chairs provided with a clear night sky and millions of stars up above was spectacular. Nancy was a great manager/owner and was readily available if needed. There was no internet access available but we really didn't need it. If we needed to access the internet, there is a small internet access facility down the hill by Skinny Legs in Coral Bay. Just up the hill from Coral Bay. Super place to stay.

I have stayed at this property owner's other rental and did not think I could top that..I was wrong! This property was just as, if not more gorgeous than her other place, Mimosa. The views were amazing and we always felt like we exploring the island, even if we never left the villa. One thing that made this great was how easy it was to talk to and work with the owner, easiest vacation I have ever planned.
The place was clean and bug/dirt free. I have stayed in quite a few places around St. John and this is by far the nicest. I already booked my vacation for next winter at this property and can't wait.
It is private but still has easy access to hiking, swimming, getting to town, it is just an all around great place and I cannot wait to go back. I highly recommend this rental, and I'm picky!
