At Heaven on Stevens Lake, you can relax in a 1,950 sq.ft., 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home, with 200' of lake frontage on Steven's Lake and 5 acres of privacy in the Hiawatha National Forest. Located 24 miles south of Munising, 12 miles north of Nahma Junction on US-2, and east of FFH 13 makes a perfect location for those looking for easy access to Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. Adjacent to hundreds of miles of snowmobile, ATV, hiking, and wildlife trails, this home offers the ultimate vacation location from door to trail.

The main floor at Heaven on Stevens Lake features a lake side, master bedroom with a queen bed and dresser. A seco...nd guest bedroom is comfortable with a double bed, small sofa, dresser, and is on the lake side as well. The third guest bedroom has a queen and twin bed, and a view of the wooded yard. The bathroom on the main floor is roomy and has a large shower. A laundry room is conveniently located next to the bathroom. The open living arrangment offers a full kitchen with a large refrigerator, walk in pantry, range, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, pots & pans, dishes, utensils, and basic spices. Satellite TV is provided along with a VCR, DVD player and a library of movies for the VCR. Please bring your own DVD's. A CD player and a small selection of music is available as well. A large dining table with seating for 8 is situated in the dining area and has a panoramic view of Stevens Lake. A door from the kitchen to the deck ensures quick and direct access to a wrap around deck for additional entertaining, dining, and watching the wildlife. The deck features tables, chairs, gas grill, charcoal grill and bird feeders. You can also walk out onto the lake side of the property from the deck.

Downstairs is the walk-out basement and fourth guest bedroom. This spacious bedroom will be a nice getaway room for the kids to share together with a queen bed, four twin beds, and an under-the-stairs children's playhouse with toys. There is rustic, cozy living area down here with two couches, small dining area, a wood burning stove and a newly installed, second bathroom.

The floors are carpeted throughout and the walls are done in tongue and groove aspen wood, with a rich appointment of mounted game and artwork.

Heaven on Stevens Lake offers plenty of children's and adult's board games.

A fire pit is located by the shore for evening campfires. Whether telling your favorite campside stories or making S'mores, this will be a memorable time for family and friends. Steven's Lake has excellent fishing and abundant wildlife for view right off the dock. A 16' canoe and fishing boat is available with oars and an electric trolling motor. The lake with over 15 acres of mostly undeveloped wilderness shoreline offers bass, pike, bluegills, beaver, mink, and a variety of migrating and local waterfowl. Hiawatha's Heaven offers a small shallow sand beach for playing. The lake bottom has a softer sand that is ok for wading and playing in up until the end of the dock, where it starts to get mushy. There is a public beach nearby that offers deeper access to a sandy beach. There is also excellent picnic areas and swimming beaches at Camp 7 Campground just 7 miles away.

  I have stayed at Heaven several times over the past 8 years. I find it hard to believe that there is a more tranquil and relaxing place to be. Everything you need is provided. For those who like to wander off and sight see, the destinations are endless. For someone like me, who likes to relax and get away from being busy, it is perfect. The silence is deafening.

  We have rented this vacation home (as well as others)from
  Tom and Lisa Schramm for many years. They are always well equipped and very clean. Never had any issues. They do an excellent job in maintaining their homes. Very easy to talk to should there be any issues or if you just need some friendly advise about the area for things to do or see.

  We are all Grandparents that love to have kid-like fun riding the aTV trails (therefore the name). Our time at Heaven on Stevens Lake was more than we could have hoped for. We had beautiful weather, great fun on the trails, good food on the deck and lots of laughs. The mornings on the lake were so peaceful. Some even took a canoe ride around the lake, and didn't fall in! The house had everything you could need for a stay. We had 5 couples that stayed at the house, and there was plenty of room. Visits around the firepit will be talked about for years to come. I think the only disappointment was no air-conditioning, but the nights cooled off and sleeping was comfortable. We will definitely consider coming back.
