Great home, worked well for our needs. We had a problem with the safe to start, was just sitting on floor not secured to anything also wasn't even working. I called the company regarding this, they said they would send someone by and no one ever showed up. 2 Days later the alarm system stopped working, so I called again. Someone was supposed to come out and look at it, and no one ever showed up. So, we were there for 8 days with no safe, which they assured me they had, and I guess they did, it just didn't work. ^ days with no security alarm.I was very disappointed . The last night there while we were out for dinner, the house was broken into. we all had been carrying our cash and credit cards on us thank god. The took 2 brand new asus transformer tablets, brand new Iphone, Ipod touch, Pair of sunglasses, two pairs of headphones another cell phone and scary enough we passed the vehicle leaving the neighborhood on our way in, the car went flying sideways around the corner and past us and we all knew it wasn't good. We believe someone was watching at the beginning of the neighborhood and tipped them off that we were coming! We are very grateful that we did not have a confrontation with them! Also very disappointed with the maintenance ability from aruba Happy rentals. We usually stay at a resort when we visit aruba, and will definitely be going back to a resort, the security is much higher.

Opal Villa is such a pleasant find! I researched extensively and picked it for my first visit to aruba.
I emailed several rental companies enquiring about different properties. Gemma from aruba Happy Rentals was always prompt and detailed with her responses, which helped me decide on this villa, and using their company. I also posted on Tripadvisor.com asking for advice, and aruba Happy Rentals was highly recommended.
The villa was perfectly located in a quiet, upscale neighbourhood, just minutes from the beaches, restaurants, shopping, supermarkets and casinos. The pool was wonderful and the patio gorgeous. We spent a lot of time chilling there.
The BBQ was very useful. We drove to Zeerover's in Savaneta to buy fresh fish and prawns, and grilled them for dinner. We also made most of our breakfasts in the well equipped kitchen of the villa. The one complaint was that all the pots and pans were old, scratched up Tefal with the coating coming off. I requested for a stainless steel pot and a frying pan , and the next day, a brand new set was delivered to us. Kudos to their customer service!
The Opal Villa was beautiful. The pool was cleaned twice a week, and the property itself was very clean as well. We were two couples so this house was perfect. It would also be ideal for 6 people. However, if there are 4 couples, then I can see a problem because the 4th couple would have to sleep in the bedroom next to the garage, outside of the house entrance. Once the night alarm is turned on, then that 4th couple would not be able to get into the house.
Another problem with this house is that out of the 4 bathrooms, 3 of them have windows with no window coverings. That makes it very inconvenient for showering and using the toilets, especially when 2 of the bathrooms with no window coverings face the front road.
Overall, I am still very happy with Opal Villa, especially its location. I am very satisfied aruba Happy Rentals and would use them again.

What an amazing trip!! We would definitely recommend Opal Villa for 4 couples interested in a beautiful getaway. We stayed there for New Year's and had an absolute blast. Albert and his team are so friendly, warm, and efficient. The price was fair and the villa was well cleaned and inviting. It had all the amenities needed for a good time in aruba. Not to mention, our car rental and excursions were easily reserved through aruba Happy Rentals... almost too easily! We can't wait to do it again soon!!!
