EdinburghExcellent apartments to come back to
Left on 04/14/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We stayed here midweek in april 2013, and had a wonderful time. The apartment we stayed in was spotlessley clean and modern, with great views out across the hills, and handily located very close to the centre of Pitlochry. There were some lovely welcoming touches including fluffy white towels, Tunnocks tea cakes, and a handy rack for muddy boots. The owners are extremely welcoming and helpful, giving lots of advice and tips for walking and cycling (lots of paths all round the area and most starting v close to Elmwood) as well as places to eat in the area; whilst making themselves available should you require anything at all, they also leave you to get on with relaxing and enjoying your stay. We would highly recommend Elmwood as an excellent base to explore the area, particularly if you are looking for somewhere cosy, comfortable and inviting to come back to after a day out exploring the fantastic Scottish countryside and hills. We will be back!

Jennifer was their to meet us and show us around - very friendly.
The accomodation was excellent and so near to the town centre and all amenities. We have stayed in Pitlochry a number of times over the years, and in a number of different self catering venues and I would rate this one highly.

Left on 11/20/2012 for a stay in November 2012
We recently stayed for 10 days in the Tay apartment and we were impressed with the clean, warm, and roomy apartment. It was well equipped with everything we needed, and was in a great spot in the Village meaning we could walk to the shops and restaurants. Jennifer & Allan were very welcoming and helpful. Not only did they collect us from the Station, but also drove us to Dunkeld and back for an event we were attending. And Jennifer kindly lent me 2 jackets to keep me warm.
Pitlochry itself is a beautiful place to stay, and conveniently located for exploring some of the highlands. We would definitely stay here again. -

This lovely apartment is in a wonderful position with a pretty view from the garden and living room window and within walking distance of everything we needed in Pitlochry. There is also much to see and do within easy driving distance.
We received a warm welcome from Jennifer who provided plenty of helpful information and was readily available if needed but never intrusive.
If we were to return to the area in the future this apartment would be our first choice.

Owners friendly and helpfull.
Apartment clean and comfortable and well equipped. Seating area outside overlooking garden. Lovely views from house over the town.
Secure parking.
The area is residential and very quiet.
Shops and restaurants ten to fifteen minutes walk.
Nice walks around the town, with old houses and cottages most with lovely gardens.
Could be hilly in some areas but worth it (round by the golf course). -

We walked 12 Munroes, climbed crags and played golf and enjoyed coming back to comfort the flat, it was a real home from home. Very close to all the amenities and the owners were very welcoming and generous. This is an excellent place to stay whilst exploring the delights of the local area.

I always worry that what you see online doesn't match up to the reality. Not in this case. From the warmest of welcomes from Jennifer, to the quietest, most ideal location, the cleanliness and comfort of the apartment, every need catered for, my daughter and I couldn't recommend Elmwood House highly enough. Keep up the great work Jennifer. We will definitely see you again.

Lovely comfortable flat in a central location - just a short walk from the centre of Pitlochry which was very convenient. Very clean and well equipped.
Jennifer and allan provided a warm welcome and were very helpful and accomodating, particularly in providing a secure place for my husband to store his bike and also access to the hosepipe to clean it.
Would definitely stay again! -

This is the second year running we have stayed at Elmwood and the second year running we have enjoyed a warm welcome and smart, comfortable accommodation. A great centre for trips of all sorts whether by car, by train or on foot and at the end of each day's adventures you have a beautifully-presented, well-appointed apartment in which to relax. The owners remain unobtrusive unless you have a problem (unlikely) but if you bump into them at any other time they are very nice to talk to! Highly recommended.

A very warm welcome + a home from home = a very relaxing few days. Ive stayed at this location a number of times and to be honest you would be hard pushed to beat this self catering accomodation in all of Highland Perthsire. So good that I have booked again for 2013. There are few places where you go on holiday and immediately feel relaxed. This is one. Try it!

Left on 05/25/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We have stayed in Pitlochry on three occasions in the last three years, the first two occasions being in hotels and guest house. This time we chose self catering as we felt that it would suit our needs better.
The flat was beautifully furnished and immaculately clean, everything that you might need had been thought of and provided for. The owner was very pleasant and helpful and the location of the house was perfect for walking into town.
The only thing to be aware of if you are of limited mobility, is that this is a fist floor flat and access is via a narrow flight of stairs.
Fantastic value for money - we will certainly be back soon. -

The positives of staying at Elmwood House are endless. The hosts, Jennifer and allan went out of their way to make our two week stay a "home away from home". Our suite was modern, extremely clean and comfortable, and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The location couldn't be better, within walking distance to everything in town. If you are looking for a private, quiet, wonderful place to stay, this is it!

The other reviews were right, this is a great place to stay. We were given lots of local information when we arrived, we parked our car in the driveway and didn't need to use it at all as the town is only a short stroll away. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and very quiet and we wouldn't have known there was anyone else in the building. Furthermore, the bed was super comfortable and we had one of my best sleeps in quite sometime. The view from the terrace at the front is lovely and we were lucky enough to have great weather to sit out and enjoy it. Elmwood felt like my home away from home and l look forward coming back again in the future.

The apartment was well furnished, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had a warm and friendly welcome and were given some useful local information but were then left to enjoy our stay. The location of the apartment is ideal - just a 5 minute walk away from the town which has a great choice of places to eat and shops to browse around. The area is wonderful with great walks, scenery and lots to see within easy travelling distance.

Left on 02/19/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We stayed at Elmwood for a weekend break and would thoroughly recommend an apartment here. Our flat was spotlessly clean, warm & comfortable, with excellent facilities. Elmwood is perfectly situated as a base to explore the beautiful Perthshire area or for exploring the local area on foot. It is situated in a quiet part of town but within a short walk of all the amenities. The owners, Jennifer and allan, were most welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home. We would recommend the local golf course restaurant for a wonderful Sunday lunch. We will definitely be back - hopefully for a longer stay next time.

Left on 01/23/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We received a warm welcome from the owner, who was there if needed but kept a very low key when not needed. The property is in a great location just one road back from the main street so providing a central location but also benefitting from a slightly quieter position. The sun terrace at the front of the house is a great place to sit and take in the stunning Scottish mountain views in complete privacy, as it is for the exclusive use of guests. The owners have a separete outside space at the rear. The apartment was very clean and warm and offered every facility required. The bed was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed a very peaceful stay. Would certainly recommend this to friends.

Jennifer provided a very warm and welcoming arrival. Both apartments were spotless and we all felt instantly at home. Jennifer also took the time to point out places of interest and local walks as well as the nearest supermarket. The apartments are in easy walking distance of the town centre & train station. Pitlochry itself is a well placed base to travel to other parts of Perthshire. We all had a lovely time & are looking forward to going back!

Left on 06/17/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Alan and Jennifer Cunnison offered us a warm, friendly welcome on arrival and shortly afterwards Jennifer called by to explain where everything was around the apartment and suggest local places of interest, a little touch we really appreciated. The apartment itself was immaculate and I mean immaculate. We felt very relaxed straight away in the light, tastefully decorated rooms. The location of the house made access to all parts of Pitlochry easy on foot, but still offered peace and quiet at the end of a long day's exploring. Considering the price, the quality of the accommodation, the handy location and alan and Jennifer's helpful and friendly but never intrusive presence, I'd say we've hit upon a winner. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else next time we visit the area. Thank you both for giving us a great holiday!
