“Friendly, very comfortable, helpful, & well located.” We chose to visit Pitlochry because of its proximity to the highlands. We found Elmwood house the ideal place to stay. The views form the rooms, the proximity to the village facilities, and most of all the help and kindness shown by our hosts made our stay most enjoyable. We would recommend Elmwood and would stay again if we were to return to Pitlochry.
The pretty little town of Pitlochry in Perthshire is surrounded by peaks, forests and miles of rolling hills. Whether you’re here for the outdoor activities, the history or the single malt whiskey, you’re sure to find your perfect vacation rental in Pitlochry.
About Pitlochry
Pitlochry is renowned for its outdoor attractions, so whether you’re into golfing, fishing, walking or mountain biking, you’ll find plenty to keep you busy. One of the town’s earliest visitors was Queen Victoria herself, and the area has a rich history. With miles of countryside to explore, historic castles and Scotland’s smallest distillery on your doorstep, Pitlochry is the perfect family destination.
What to Do
Just north of Pitlochry lies Killiecrankie, where you can visit Soldier’s Leap. It’s here that a fleeing government soldier leaped across the River Garry whilst escaping Jacobites, in 1689.
Golfers will be in paradise as there are no less than seven of the most scenic highland golf courses in Scotland within easy driving distance of the town.

Elmwood East
Superb accommodation in a beautiful place.
We stayed in Elmwood house for 6 nights from 16 to 22 august. The apartment is very roomy and comfortable, the bedroom spacious and the kitchen well appointed and equipped. There is also a lovely view over the garden from the living area. Our hostess, Jennifer was very obliging and charming. The apartment was also easy walking distance to the Pitlochry main street. We couldn't fault our stay here and would love to come back. …

Corrie Beag, Pitlochry, Perthshire, Scotland
Great size house perfectly placed for Pitlochry and surroundings
We stayed at the house with our four kids and had plenty of space for everyone. Having two showers was really handy and there was plenty room for for both people and all their stuff.
The house is cozy, has TV, DVD, books and Cd's and the kitchen is very well equipped with a big fridge, freezer and dual fan oven. There is a good-sized Co-Op supermarket in town with everything you need.
The location is excellent, its only 5 minutes walk up into the centre of lovely Pitlochry and its a very quiet street. You have good access to the a9 and its only 30 minutes into Perth.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again. …
