Property for exclusive use

Typical stone villa from the 15th Century made into a comfortable holiday home, 400 sq. m., hosting up to 10 persons with a large garden, exclusive swimming pool and furnished loggia for lunches. The villa has 5 double bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and has Wi-Fi, satellite TV, sauna and baby bed. It’s perfect for groups of friends, large families or for organizing events.

Outdoor area and Swimming Pool

Villa Tagliafune is in a property of 3 hectares, completely fenced, with olive plants and large lawns. The garden is for the guests’ exclusive use and is divided in various areas: the part in front of the entrance has a well-kept lawn and a stone-paved area from which you can access the loggia and the house. The loggia, complete with a table and chairs for outdoor meals, as well as the paved area with a table, umbrellas and cotto pots, makes for a perfect place to admire the view or relax. Just 20 metres from the house in the lawn is the swimming pool, 17 metres by 7 with a depth of 1-3 metres, surrounded by a cotto-paved bathing area with sunbeds and shower. The nearby arbor with climbing rose plants, armchairs and a table creates a great space for talking or reading. Parking for several cars in the property.

Interior

The house is decorated and furnished with taste and boasts wood-beamed ceilings, arches and several windows which let in lots of natural light. The villa is on two floors. The outdoor loggia leads to the spacious living room with large arches, sofas, satellite TV, DVD player. From the living room you have access to the dining/sitting room with armchairs and fireplace and to the fully equipped stonework kitchen. Rounding up the ground floor are a small study, a bathroom with shower and double sink, a washing room with washing machine and dryer.

An ancient stone staircase leads to the first floor where you can find 1 very bright double bedroom with panoramic glimpses from its window over the valley and the swimming pool, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedded room with bathroom with shower, 1 bathroom with ante-chamber and shower, small hall, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedded room, 1 bathroom with bath, shower and sauna (for 2 persons), 1 bathroom with shower.

Location

This classic country house is in a valley in the Chianti hills and used to belong to the Medici family, before becoming an elegant holiday home. All around are vineyards and olive groves. The area is peaceful and quiet, and the surrounding view is lightly scattered with homes and farms.

The pool is open from 25th April to September 30th. The owner lives in the same property but in a completely independent position. Access via 900 metres of gravel road, not ideal for low vehicles.
