Suite Deluxe. Modern, High End Comfort with Antique Charm- 2 mins from Duomo

Florence apartment

  • 1 bedroom
  • 1 bathroom
  • sleeps 2

“Perfect apartment in Florence” An apartment in Florence is so much better than a hotel room. The Suite Deluxe apartment, though, is so much better than any other apartment. It is situated in a historical building but it totally modern inside. Beautiful large bathroom, king size bed, sleek but comfortable furnishings, a compact but fully equipped kitchen, free wifi and TV. Piero will meet you just outside the building to take you inside and explain all the equipment to you. He was wonderfully friendly and helpful. Be sure to visit the restaurants he suggests. They are excellent.

Villa Le Terrazze in Florence, views, pool, no car needed

Florence villa

  • 5 bedrooms
  • 6 bathrooms
  • sleeps 12

“Beautiful tuscan villa with a view” The Villa Le Terazze is beautiful! It fit our purposes perfectly. We had 9 family members staying there and held a small wedding ceremony in the yard. The garden and views are fabulous and the space of the villa works well for everyone to spread out. The antiques and well-appointed furnishings made the environment warm and cozy. Lorenzo was helpful and kind. He met us for check-in promptly and was thorough in explaining everything we needed to know about the accomodations. The day before check out, Lorenzo sent an email and was again, prompt and thorough. He was friendly and spoke english well. Thank you, Lorenzo, for sharing this fabulous home with us! We had the pleasure of enjoying a fabulous meal prepared for us and served in the villa diningroom. Alida and her husband, Andrea, created an experience we will not soon forget. The food was outstanding and the service/setting was fabulous. I highly recommend this for anyone seeking a memorable and delightful dining experience. They took care of everything! Thank you to alida and andrea for the wonderful meal and experience. The location of the villa is very convenient. It is about 15 minutes from Florence by bus. We utilized this method of getting to and from, and it worked perfectly. It is only a short walk to the Tabacchi to purchase your bus tickets and the pick-up stop is a short walk back to the fork in the road. The last stop in Florence (bus 25) is at Museo di San Marco, very convenient. Returning requires an uphill walk unless you stay on the bus and get off at a stop just above the villa...a longer ride on the bus, but it does make the walk a bit easier if you are not a fan of the uphill venture. Another option is to call a taxi...this too was very easy and not expensive. The taxis typically arrived within 5 to 10 minutes of our call.

Giotto Apartment in S. Maria Novella in Florence

Florence apartment

“Amazing stay at Piazza Santa Maria Novella!” Couldn't have asked for more out of this apartment. A huge thank you to the owner and her daughter - both were incredibly welcoming, courteous and helpful. The apartment itself is well-furnished and very conveniently located, within walking distance of everything worth seeing in Florence. The pictures shown by the owners are an accurate depiction of location and amenities. After staying in a tiny hotel in Rome for 4 days, it was a relief to have the space and comfort we came home to every day in Florence. I will definitely be recommending this apartment to others, and would return without any hesitation. Grazie mille!

“Close and easy!” Thank you Cristina for your hospitality. We were grateful for your husband picking us up at the airport and you dropping us back to the airport ( for a small fee which was really reasonable and cheaper than using a taxi). The accommodation was five mins walk to our seminar at the Nelson Mandela Forum. You provided us with food in the fridge and your place was clean. It was a shame that the weather was too cold to enjoy the garden!

About Florence

Florence, the capital of Tuscany in Italy, is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Whether you are visiting one of the over 80 museums in the city, strolling through the gardens, or checking out the old city walls, Florence is breathtaking in every sense of the word. While you are here, be sure to spend some time in the centro storico, the old town area, and the shopping district centered in Via Roma.

Here are a few additional suggestions of things to do in Florence:

-Galleria degli Uffizi: This is one of the most famous fine art museums in the world.

-The Duomo: This cathedral has become a symbol of the city and offers beautiful views from its dome.

-Boboli Gardens: These gardens make up Florence's most famous park area.

-Palazzo Vecchio: You will find an endless array of street performers showing off their skills in front of this historic landmark.

-Piazza della Signoria: This is Florence's most famous square.

-Ponte Vecchio: Built in 1345, this is the only bridge that has survived from the medieval days of Florence.

The best time to visit Florence is in the spring, when the weather is still pleasant but the high tourist season is still a few months off. Many of the most popular festivals in Florence also take place during this time including the Feast of San Giuseppe in March, the Exhibition of Crafts in April, and The Maggio Musicale in May.

Staying in a vacation rental in one the main areas of the city is usually the preferred option for those visiting Florence. In addition to a luxury apartment rental, it's also possible to rent a villa in the countryside. If you want to get out of the city, Florence can serve as a starting point for exploring the rest of the Tuscany areas. Nearby towns that are accessible by public transport include Pisa, Lucca, Arezzo, and the wine region of Chianti.

Perfect Apartment in Fabulous Location

“Uffizi Apartment” was the perfect place for me to stay for a research trip in late June 2014. I would recommend it, and Rossella as its owner-manager, unequivocally. The apartment is tastefully and elegantly decorated, very comfortable, and quiet and peaceful. Upon entering the apartment, after taking either the elevator or walking up three flights of stairs, there is a small vestibule with a coat hook and a utility closet with any tools, extra trash bags, etc. that you may need during your stay. The kitchen is across from the front door, and has a microwave, two-burner electric stove, a small refrigerator, Italian espresso maker, and a sink with a drying rack above. While it would be difficult to make elaborate meals in this kitchen, I happily made risotto, pasta, veal chops, salads, and other foods that could be cooked on a stove. The living room has a traditional wooden Florentine ceiling, and a large window facing out towards a small courtyard. Rossella has very sensibly put screens on all the windows in the apartment, so there is no threat of mosquitoes or other bugs coming inside. Having lived in numerous Florentine properties over the years, I can attest that this is a Godsend! There is a new, flatscreen television mounted to the wall; it has numerous Italian channels and a DVD player underneath it. Rossella has very thoughtfully purchased various American, British, and Italian films, and I enjoyed watching “Roman Holiday,” “Ocean’s 12,” and “My Cousin Vinny.” Next to the television is a credenza with dishes and tablecloths and a dining room table that seats six; I used the table for both eating and as a desk, for which it was more than adequate. Behind the table, underneath the stairs leading up to the bedroom, is a very soft sleeper sofa, and a bookshelf with numerous guidebooks, art history tomes, novels, and other books. Upstairs – the apartment is like an American-style loft apartment with stairs leading up to an open upstairs room – is a charming and romantic bedroom. There is a very comfortable king bed with lovely foam pillows (Italian-style “letto matrimoniale,” with two twin beds pushed up next to each other), two nightstands, a small bureau, two large closets, and most importantly, an air-conditioning unit next to the window. The A/C was easy to use, with a remote-control switch, and very much appreciated during Florence’s typically hot summers. Completing the bedroom is a whole wall decorated with framed art copies of famous Marian images. As an Italian Renaissance art historian, I adored going to sleep with all these beautiful pictures. The bathroom is quite large, with a tub with shower, toilet, bidet, and sink. The washer is also here. It is a typical Italian washer – quite small and full of strange, for an American, nobs and settings. Rossella has very helpfully included easy-to-use English instructions with the washer. I must admit that I had some problems using it; I followed the instructions exactly, but the cycle ran for almost 6 hours (!) and then did not drain out the water. My black pants and underwear also came out with rust stains on them. This was the only bad experience I had in the apartment, and Rossella was very apologetic, professional, and helpful about it; when I checked out, she told me she would immediately inspect it and possibly call a repairman, and she additionally comped my water utility fee. I am sure the washer will be working just fine for any future guests as Rossella is extremely conscientious about everything in the apartment. I loved the stay I spent in “Uffizi Apartment,” and hope I will be able to return soon. The apartment was the perfect place for me to work and live, and when my husband visited me at the end of my stay, a very romantic spot for us to spend our time in Florence. Rossella is everything you would hope for in a home rental owner-manager; so helpful, caring, friendly, and thoughtful. She truly cares about making sure her guests have the best experience, and it certainly shows in all the special touches she has put in the apartment: from the coffee and olive oil ready for you in the kitchen when you arrive to the collection of maps and guidebooks in the living room to the restaurant coupons she specially arranges for her guests. Needless to say, she is the epitome of Tuscan hospitality, grace, and charm.see more

Loved this apartment

No point repeating everything that has been said already as we agree 100%.Everything was perfect for us (my husband & I). We were met by Chiara's Mum, Ann-Marie who was a lovely warm person & could not have been more helpful. The location is brilliant & the view from the apartment is beautiful. Hope to return to Florence & will certainly be staying here. Thank you so much Ann-Marie!see more
Suite Deluxe. Modern, High End Comfort with Antique Charm- 2 mins from Duomo
Stunning apartment and perfect host.

Extremely clean and beautifully appointed flat was perfectly situated to see the sights and visit the markets of Florence. The kitchen has every amenity and all appliances are new and top of the line. No need to scrub the pots before you cook here. The supermarket on the street and the market just around the corner provided us with the fresh ingredients for the best meals. There is even a toaster and a drip coffee maker if you prefer a non-Italian breakfast. Good restaurants and coffee shops in the area. The map and directions provided by our host got us on the right track quickly to see the sights. The neighbourhood is safe for an evening walk for a gelati or espresso. The bed was extremely comfortable with extra linens and towels provided. The heat in the flat was adjustable so that the rooms were always the right temperature. The best flat we have ever stayed in when on vacation.see more

Great Apt

This apartment was almost perfect. I'll get it out of the way and say the shower was very tight, i'm 5'6" 156lb and it felt cramped. But I dont there is anything that can be done about this so its just something you live with. The apt itself was spacious, it has a washer, close to city center, comfortable and included a bottle of water and coca cola. We only slept in one of the rooms and felt it satisfied all needs. The apt stayed cool and we never had to run the a/c just the fan at night. This is a very cute apt. We also didnt use the bikes, but thought about it and decided to walk since we were mainly shopping and taking tours during our time in Florence. The location is just outside the main center on a quiet street. It takes maybe 4-6min to walk to Duomo area, 25min to walk to train station. I would not recommend walking to train if you have luggage, the sidewalks and roads makes it a long 25min. Gianluca was very pleasant. He met us at the apt and gave us some contact info for tour guides. We didnt have any issues so we never had to call him for assistance.see more
Villa Le Terrazze in Florence, views, pool, no car needed
It was the perfect place for us. Clean, roomy, easy to get to F

The Villa is beautiful! Lorenzo was a great host and he helped arrange transportation from the airport. We had taken a late train from Rome and got to the villa felt in the evening feeling very tired. Lorenzo was great the villa was awesome and we felt at home immediately. There were eight of us and there was plenty of room to spread out. Pros Beautiful Villa Very Clean Incredible View Wonderful Gardens Plenty of Room Full Kitchen with utensils Easy to Get to Florence (bus stop within walking distance) Cafe and small market within walking distance Lorenzo was great Cons Cannot think of any The location of the villa was perfect for our group. It is out of the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to get into the city quickly. It only takes about 15 minutes to get to Florence by bus (which was easy to use, clean, and never too crowded.) By our bus stop there are a small market and cafe. So we could get espresso while waiting for our bus. One night we decided to eat in and the kitchen was equipped with all the utensils to make a full dinner. The Villa just added to the magic we were having on our trip and we would highly recommend it.see more

Really excellent

We stayed one week in this very nice apartment and enjoyed it really. The kitchen was fully equipped with a washing machine, coffee makers, microwave fridge I enjoyed cooking and living independently. So reasonably priced and quiet at night we slept soundly. Comfortable bed made our stay so enjoyable. The location is perfect for visiting all the sights in Florence. We will definitely stay there again in our next trip to Florence!see more
