Casa Melissa is just a few minutes walk from the north end of the wide sandy beach that leads to the town of San Pancho. You can walk down the beach to visit great restaurants or you can just stay at the house and enjoy the incredible view of the ocean.
Casa Melissa is a unique private estate with its own pool and tennis court. Just a 40 minute drive from the Puerto Vallarta airport you can rent a car or get a taxi.
Don't play tennis, prefer golf, well there is a newly opened course right here in San Pancho. Also you can take advantage of the San Pancho Birding club, or surf, kayak or snorkel!
San Pancho is a beautiful area, where the palm jungle goes to the ocean, it is a green lush area with a gorgeous blue ocean. In the winter see the humpback whales migrating or catch a glimpse of dolphins and rays that swim by below.

This place was amazing. Everything we expected and more! Every room was spacious and had beautiful views. The house is barely five minutes away from town where you can find wonderful food options and right on the beach. The house is fully equipped and spacious. The pool is amazing and has beautiful views of the ocean. Overall, a wonderful experience and a truly enjoyable vacation!

Casa Melissa was the most beautiful vacation house I've had the pleasure of staying in. I rent 2-3 vacation houses a year in Tahoe and Hawaii and this house was the best ever! The infinity pool was spectacular and the tennis court was a fabulous opportunity for exercise. The house was equipped with every necessity, from plenty of towels, to a coffee grinder and all the essential cookware. The water cooler was a thoghful touch too! The house and furniture are beautiful and a classy, comfortable, clean example of traditional Mexican architechutre. Truly a perfect house for family, friends and mixed groups. I can't wait to go back!

Taking my first vacation in years there was a lot of pressure on the trip to live up to my expectations and I was totally blown away with the awesomeness that is Casa Melissa.
Upon arriving in Puerto Vallarta we were greeted by the amazing property manager, Yayo, who throughout the trip was always quick to help us get settled in and make sure we had everything we needed.
Breathtaking is really the only word to use when describing the house. Perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean we were lulled to sleep every-night by the crashing of the waves and woke up to a heated infinity pool that seemingly drops off into the ocean. All four bedrooms are spacious and are fitted with some of the largest beds I have ever seen. The ground floor is an ideal space to gather with friends and family since the kitchen/living rooms area merges seamlessly with the outdoor pool area.
We spent a lot of time driving around and looking at other houses in the area while we were in San Pancho and never came across anything that came close to Casa Melissa. Between the view, infinity pool, and full amenities we were never left wanting during our entire stay.

I love Casa Melissa. Of the many places I have traveled too, I would never have expected to find this gem only one 3 1/2 hr. nonstop flight from S.F.
The sleepy village of San Pancho is just big enough to have a perfect yoga studio, many wonderful restaurants and cafes, art galleries, a bakery and store. There is also a very active turtle rescue and weekly release on the beach. You are invited to go!
This home itself is fabulous. The 180 degree views of the Pacific Ocean are fabulous. I love the whales that were cruising in front of our windows and the kayaking too. The infinity pool is warm and out of this world. From Casa Melissa, I could walk out the front door and be in the bluffs, swimming in the ocean or be back in town for lunch or a beach walk.
The entire home is white with bright colors and wonderful art from the region. There is an elegant sweeping staircase to the upstairs. Each of the bedrooms is private and well appointed. The kitchen, dining room and living area are spacious and open and great for cooking, gathering, relaxing. There are 3 different decks for sunning/reading/resting. This home works well for a family, 2-5 couples, friends or just a romantic get away. It is completely private or you can have these wonderful caretakers help with meals or other aspects of your trip. This is a dream home and it is so beautiful and relaxing that you may never want to leave its premises. If you do, there are snorkel trips, boat rides and other towns to visit and explore. We visited the botanical gardens in P.V. this year and really enjoyed them.
I would say if you are considering going to Casa Melissa - just do it! Any needs that may arise will be taken care of. The area feels very safe and the people I met were all very warm and welcoming.
I can't imagine being anything but grateful to be there!

Casa Melissa was my first experience with renting a vacation house online. The photos make this house out to be paradise, but in person it was somehow even better. The setting is lush and tropical, and the house peers over an oceantop cliff. The home itself is lovely, clean, nicely laid out and very well taken care of. The people who take care of the home are kind and helpful with food, tours and transportation. The pool and view -- well, they have spoiled me for life. No other place on this planet seems more relaxing, peaceful and gorgeous in my book. This is a heavenly place to unwind and catch up with loved ones.

Spent a week with three friends celebrating a dear friend's 60th Birthday. Casa Melissa is beautiful, comfortable and magical. We enjoyed the charming town of San Pancho with its wonderful restaurants, and beaches, watched whales in the ocean and saw baby turtles being released at the beach at sunset, visited Sayulita's shops and beaches, La Penita's mercado, and most pleasurably of all, spent hours relaxing in the infinity pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean with views up and down the coastline. We loved being able to play tennis at the court right next to the house. I've returned to California, but my body and soul are still watching sunsets from that incredible infinity pool.

I was lucky enough to join a group of girlfriends to celebrate Janet's 50th birthday. This house is amazing. The location is just spectacular. Every room has an amazing view of the ocean. Every night I was lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves. Nearby surfing, shopping, beaches. The pool is perfect, Yeyo and Isabell are wonderful and cook an amazing meal. If you can't enjoy yourself and relax here, I don't know where you can!

The view is incredible, the pool is relaxing, the staff is friendly and the house wonderful. We enjoyed it so much we only left the grounds once because we had to pick-up family at the airport. We all had a lovely stay!!

We stayed at Casa Melissa for my husband's 50th birthday. We brought along some close friends to celebrate with us. There were 8 of us there Friday-Wednesday. That group went home on Wednesday and we picked another couple up and stayed from Wednesday-Sunday. What an amazing place!! We didn't want to leave. The house was beautiful, the staff was so nice, and the views... Wow!! We can't wait to go back for a visit. San Pancho is such a neat town, the people are sooo friendly and the beaches are beautiful. We highly recommend Casa Melissa. It was everything that we hoped for - and more!

We actually went to Casa Melissa three times in a little over a year -- Thanksgiving 2009, April and December 2010. Each time we enjoyed it more than the last. The lit tennis court and oceanfront pool are incredible. The people who manage the house are warm, caring, and amazing at what they do. The little town of Sayulita about 10 min away is our favorite swimming and surfing beach in the world. In short, Casa Melissa is like your own private resort.

My husband and I spent 1 week Nov7-14 2009 wih our daughter her husband, Grandson 26 and his 24 year old friend. The Casa was recommended to us by a friend who had stayed there before. I read about Casa Melissa on their website and was impressed with what I saw. We were met at the airport and driven to the Casa. It was just as pictured only better. On a cliff, the beautiful home, heated pool, lighted tennis court, unbelievable sunsets, ocean views, well maintained landscapeing. We could not have asked for more. The maid service and chef who prepared 4 dinners for us was just great. Wonderful vacation for us and we are looking forward to returning.
