Jardin de las Palmas: Summer Special - $ 315 / night

Sayulita house

5 bedrooms / 4 bathrooms / sleeps 10

“This was the perfect house for our group” We just got home from a two week stay In Jardin De Las Palmas... the place was amazing. It is located in my favorite neighborhood in Sayulita (close to the plaza and beach, but just up away from the noise, and not a big hike to get there.) Our group was large and had several small children- this was the perfect house for us-- the kids were safe, happy, playing and the grownups were relaxed. Not all the houses in Sayulita are good for kids (bad railings, etc) but this is excellent. Over the middle weekend our group surged in numbers and there are many other rentals right nearby that we were able to use as well. Again, the location in excellent. There was plenty of room to spread out and have privacy, yet the common areas are well thought out and able to manage a large gathering. It is easily one of the most well thought out layouts of a vacation rental I have ever seen-- and the attention to detail and design are impeccable. It truly had everything we needed for the trip of a lifetime. Extra thanks to Mitch who was an excellent host, as well as Guadalupe for the amazing job keeping the place spotless. The pool was also so well maintained. My highest recommendations. Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

“Beautiful place close to town” My partner, 6 year-old son and I rented Casa Sandia for one week and would have loved to stay longer. It was hard to leave this charming, beautiful place, especially with a great little pool right outside our back door. We look forward to going back - it was terrific experience.

“Magia = Magical” We just returned from an amazing week staying in Sayulita at Magia. This was our first time in Sayulita and it did not disappoint. Sayulita is a laid back town with a wonderful beach but not filled with Spring Breakers and overdevelopment. The town was full of energy and offers plenty of wonderful restaurants, street vendors and bars but the best part was having the best of both worlds at our fingertips. A short trip up into the jungle hills to Magia and voila, complete peace and quiet. Magia was one of the few places we've stayed which was actually better in-person than the photos. The wonderful-yet-subtle design and features of the home, the sights, jungle sounds and that view are hard to translate in one-dimensional photos. You simply have to experience it firsthand. Picture flocks of bright green parakeets flying past you, geckos chirping and you start to get the feeling. All of the amenities were well thought-out and you have everything you need to enjoy a quiet vacation. Cameron and Miguel ensured everything we needed was provided. The open air shower in the master suite added a special bonus. The walk into town isn't terribly difficult but we ended up renting a Jeep, which allowed us to explore outlying areas. If you rent a golf cart, make sure to reserve one first. I also rode the bus into Bucerias to get the Jeep and I found the service dependable and cheap. The bus stop is just down the hill from Magia. I would recommend this home to anyone interested in a memorable experience in Sayulita.

“Best Vacation Rental Experience Ever!” Staying at Casa Brava made our visit to Sayulita the best vacation we have ever ventured on. The house is bright, clean, quiet and beautiful. Dale gave us such great information with regards to what to bring, where to dine and what to see. Felipe and Suzanna made our stay so easy and relaxing. Having our own kitchen, balcony and dipping pool were an incredible plus after adventurous days of surfing, biking and taking in the local festivities. Casa Brava is an amazing house with wonderful people. Looking forward to our next stay! Lisa & Robbie

“Great family vacation” We just got back from another great stay at Sayulita Suites! Our kids are 4 years older now (12 and 14) and we all stayed comfortably in the Tulip suite. We really enjoyed surfing on the boogie boards provided. We also hung out in the beautiful front courtyard in the shade, reading and sketching, and enjoyed drinks with Lyn on the rooftop patio with its splendid view. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed - right down the blender for pina coladas! We were able to take the 5 minute walk into town for dinner or cook at home using great local produce and delicious fresh fish. A most memorable stay that we look forward to repeating!

“Great House and Conveniently located” It was our first time in Sayulita and we lucked out when we got this house. The location was perfect for us, not too close to the noise of town but not too far to walk to all the shops and restaurants. The definite highlight was the ping pong table -- perfect way to spend an evening. We would definitely rent this place again.

“everything you need on a quiet one-way street minutes from the p” I came to Sayulita to chill back out after two weeks in Mexico City. Travelling alone, wanting to cook for myself sometimes & taking some on-line courses, this lovely open space met all my needs. Maria was very responsive to my inquiries & made me feel right at home. The place is minutes walk to the plaza, beach & stores while being hidden away from traffic & the noise all the people having a great time in town are making. The crowing roosters are the main soundtrack & I love that! Halfway up a hill so a nice breeze keeps it cool & offers nice views out over greenery and other local homes. There's another space for two along the same balcony, so you could rent out both units & have privacy and easy connection.

“Great family vacation home!” My wife and I were looking for a place which would put us close to the many activities we had planned in Sayulita... To satisfy our needs it was important to be roomy enough to include our 2 married sons, their wives and our 2 year old granddaughter. At the same time, we all have hectic schedules so we needed a place to relax and something to do while our granddaughter could get a nap. We did some research and discovered what i would call"A Cut above" in terms of luxury homes for rent... No place is perfect. But, Casa Roca Sayulita was just what we were looking for. It was close to the surf breaks, restaurants, grocery stores and other area attractions. The kitchen was a perfect place to cut expenses by dining in and allowed us enjoy ourselves without extra expenses. It was roomy, decorated very nicely, and had everything we needed. Our entire family was shocked at how nice it was for rental property. Further, it was cheaper than hotel rooms or 2 condos. It was really nice that the top floor had a table ideal for playing games after our granddaughter went to bed. We were able to enjoy ourselves without disturbing her but close enough to be aware if she needed us. One of the highlights of our stay was seeing 2 dolphins playing with big fish. We spent about 20 minutes just watching them chase fish in the bay... Once they caught the fish they played with them by throwing them in the air before eating them.

Modern 2 Story Loft with 360 Degree Views of Ocean & Jungle + Infinity Pool!

Sayulita house

“3 minutes away” 3 minutes of my morning normally consist of me slugging a $5 coffee while sifting through dozens of emails sent since I last checked at around midnight last night, 1/3rd of which are marked "Important", having time to answer only 2 or 3 before the phone starts ringing and I have to start putting out today's fires. In 3 minutes here, I've seen a family of "Chachalacas" eating berries from the tree outside my bedroom window, 2 different types of butterflies feed off the flowers in the garden below the terrace, a flock of small parrots swoop by like a fast-moving cloud, and 2 pileated woodpeckers making lazy work of the nearby coconut palm, all while gazing out at the sprawl of ocean before me, listening to the rhythm and drinking the best cup of coffee I have ever had in my life. Gracias!

“We have stayed here 3 times and love it!” Beautifully decorated, sunny rooms.Kitchen is well equipped. Our favorite area is the front balcony, with its cool breezes, overlooking the pool. Only a few minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes into the town, along the beach or on the roads. The town has good choices in restaurants and a French bakery, which we frequent every morning. A local man comes around to the balcony every morning selling muffins.

“Home away From Home” My husband and I needed a week away to relax and just enjoy life. We did just that from the moment we arrived. The location is perfect - quiet and peaceful, a short walk to the almost empty long, beautiful beach (we saw no more than 6 people each day!) and to town. We spent one day driving up the coast, visiting each little beach town, which was fun, but mostly stayed home, with a trip into town or the beach each day. Plenty of night life if you want it. We loved buying mahimahi from the fishermen, visiting the produce store, and bringing it all home to BBQ. Lots of reading on the deck, listening to the birds and dozing. This casa is truly a "home away from home."

About Sayulita

Known as the crown jewel of the Riviera Nayarit, Sayulita should be the next place on your vacation to-do list.

Surrounded by stunning shorelines, dense jungles and plenty exciting activities, you'll never want to leave this Mexican paradise. Especially when you see the selection of beachfront vacation rentals FlipKey has to offer!

About Sayulita, Mexico

Not many people really knew about Sayulita until the 1960s when surfers found it and claimed it as one of the top surfing spots in Mexico.

This has shaped the area and the local mindset. This laid-back retreat is a unique combination of Mexican culture, Pacific surf, boutique shops and cool bars. So even if you don't surf, there's plenty to do!

Sayulita pokes out at the foot of the Sierra Madre Mountains, and is tucked away just off Highway 200. It may not look very different from other Mexican hideaways, but dig a little deeper and you'll see that it's a kind of bohemian paradise. Perfect for relaxing, exploring and enjoying.

What to do in Sayulita, Mexico

Surfing is the main activity in Sayulita – the waves are fantastic – but there are other things to try if that's not your thing.

Go stand-up paddle boarding around the bays, and see Sayulita from a completely new perspective.

If staying on land is more your thing, why not head to one of the yoga retreats? They'll show you how to relax and really embrace the Sayulita way of life.

Animal fans have plenty of options, too. Go whale watching on one of the tour boats. Chances are you'll see humpbacks, Bryde's whales, dolphins and Orcas jumping out of the water – they put on a great show!

If you can bear getting up early on vacation, try and time your trip to coincide with the turtle release. The Sayulita beaches are a nesting ground for sea turtles, and every year a rush of babies try to make it back to the water.

For the adventurous types, there are canopy tours, jungle biking and horseback riding centers, so there's never a dull moment!

Top travel tips for Sayulita, Mexico

When you fly to Sayulita, you'll have to fill out a tourist visa on the plane – make sure you keep the stamped portion as you'll need it when you leave the country.

There are plenty of ATMs in Sayulita – but avoid the free-standing ones as they're not as reliable.

Spanish is the main language in Sayulita, so maybe bring a phrasebook along in case you get stuck! It’s also a great way to interact with the friendly locals – they’ll be super impressed if you try a few words.

There are over 320 days of sunshine a year, and temperatures average at 82F! Make sure you pack your sunscreen.

For a little bit of paradise, find your beachfront apartment or jungle retreat on FlipKey, and make the most of this wonderful vacation destination. Start browsing and planning, today!

Casa Jacobo - Villa Coco - Premier Property in Sayulita on Calle Naranjito
We should have stayed longer!

There are so many great things to say about our stay at Casa Jacobo! My newly wed husband and I came to Sayulita for our Honeymoon 11/10-11/15. We made a great choice choosing to stay at Casa Jacobo. CJ is a short 5min walk from the center of town tucked in off the street. CJ has a lot of privacy and beautiful foliage all around. At the time we were there, all the villas were rented out. We never felt as if the place was too crowded or noisy. It was peaceful and tranquil, so many great birds to listen to as well. We stayed in Casa Coco. It was the perfect size for us and had all of the amenities we needed. Fully stocked kitchen, free WiFi, A/C unit, ceiling fan, safe, bathroom supplies, fresh towels for home and beach, super comfortable queen size bed and best of all an outdoor private patio with gate, lounge area and patio table. Another great thing about the location of CJ is that it is off a road that leads directly to a less crowded beach area, Playa de los Muertos. It is a beautiful 10min -15min (depends on how many times you stop to take pics) walk through the jungle. As you get closer to the beach you can hear the waves of the ocean. The road opens up to a beautiful cemetery. Down by the beach are local vendors selling coconuts, pineapple, kabobs, fish tacos, empanadas etc. The beach is beautiful! We mostly visited this beach rather than the main beach area off the center of town. Both are great but we were more partial to this more quiet beach area. My husband enjoyed returning from the beach and dipping into the cool refreshing pool at CJ. Like I said there are too many great things to list about Casa Jacobo! Z and Terrie, the owners were the perfect hosts!! They were available for any need and live on site. We definitely will be returning to CJ. The only thing different is that we will stay longer this time!see more
23ft HEATED* INFINITY POOL-Stunning OCEAN VIEWS
Amazing

My wife, I and another couple spent a week at Casa Contigo in March and had an absolutely wonderful time. Casa Contigo is a spectacular home with incredible views and every amenity needed to be self efficient. The Casa is laid out in such a manner that both bedrooms were identical which prevents potential disagreements over who gets the best bedroom with the best view. Tracey & Evan responded to every email in an amazingly short period of time and were spot on with their recommendations. The location of Casa Contigo is ideal as it is private but located close to everything in Sayulita. The housekeeper Yadi did a great job and was very gracious and washed a few loads of clothes during the week. We were pleasantly surprised when she handed us some money left in the pocket of one of the articles of clothing she had washed. Overall, we felt we rented the best possible property in Sayulita and that Tracey and Evan have thought of everything to make it a memorable experience. If I had to find one thing to complain about it would be that we felt so comfortable (the infinity pool and upper level deck) that we rarely left the Casa and therefore did not have any time to explore the area. Oh well, just another reason to return in the future.see more

Truly magical!

We honeymooned in Sayulita and stayed at Casa Magia after getting married in Puerto Vallarta. The house truly lived up to its name! The views were spectacular, the walk to town was peaceful, and the house/private pool were perfection. Miguel was also super helpful when welcoming us by giving us thorough instructions and answering all of our questions. We'll definitely be back to Sayulita, thanks to the wonderful memories made here during our stay.see more

Comfortable family house away from the busy town area

Loved this house and would definitely use it again. It was within walking distance to town but took about 10-15 minutes to do so. The house is very comfortable and clean, has everything you need. My 89 year old mother was with us and the house worked well for her. We loved the privacy of the upstairs master suite. Patty was great and very helpful and responsive. We had trouble with the stove, some problems with TripAdvisor and the owner receiving the money for the rental but it all got worked out. We loved Sayulita and our week there was marvelous. Can't wait to go back!see more
Templito - Ideal Sayulita Beachside
lovely home

Lovely home at perfect location just north of town . About a 10-15 minute walk to town with all restaurants and bars and shops. Of note should be that as owner states, not a place for small children as the home is mostly outside living with no fences at the edges of patios and would present a pretty good fall for children. For adults however a great place.see more
