“A very cool place”
An intimate place, with a beatiful sight, like 15 minutes away from the city (and beach) sorrounded by the jungle, an excelent place if you want to take a rest away from everything.
“Home away From Home”
My husband and I needed a week away to relax and just enjoy life. We did just that from the moment we arrived. The location is perfect - quiet and peaceful, a short walk to the almost empty long, beautiful beach (we saw no more than 6 people each day!) and to town. We spent one day driving up the coast, visiting each little beach town, which was fun, but mostly stayed home, with a trip into town or the beach each day. Plenty of night life if you want it. We loved buying mahimahi from the fishermen, visiting the produce store, and bringing it all home to BBQ. Lots of reading on the deck, listening to the birds and dozing. This casa is truly a "home away from home."
“An exotic stay with sounds of birds in the jungle and a visual d”
A very comfortable casita framed by beautiful stonework and a canopy of trees. The sleeping area is spacious and the beds very comfortable. A lovely window with shutters opened onto the stairs and main casa with lovely views of the jungle. The cooking facilities were well organized and the food was sumptuous . I loved the deck off the casita for morning coffee. I would say the shower was a little weak in pressure but adequate. I would love to return to the same outstanding casita
“Quiet and peaceful place in an amazing landscape”
- Good service before and during the trip. - Quiet place to stay for vacancy, with friends, family or for a romantic trip. - The beach is amazing and quiet. - The location is perfect, 25 min of walk to Sayulita downtown. So beautiful place in the jungle, but near civilization. - Advice : mosquito.
Response from the owner Its funny to hear about mosquitos , as I always tell people there are virtually NONE, even just after the rainy season in November. I go twice/year at different times of the year (though not summer) and rarely see a mosquito. I have watched swarms of dragon flies in the evening, assuming they must be eating mosquitos and other gnats because they never seem to make it down to our level. However this person must have had a different experience...I'm sure it may be different in the summer rainy season...
“Gorgeous home, beautiful location”
The casa and casita were the perfect spot for our visit to Sayulita. It was far enough outside of town to be quiet and peaceful, but so close to beautiful, private beaches (and a reasonable walk to town). The house has everything we could have wanted - gorgeous, comfortable bedrooms, a fantastic shower and bathroom, and an amazing deck and patio. We'd highly recommend this rental for those of you looking for a little more peace, quiet and R&R; during your Sayulita vacation.
if you are a fan of nature this is the perfect getaway. surrounded by jungle, the birds wake you up in the morning, and the first thing you see are jungle and mountains. it was a short walk (20 minutes) to a secluded, wild beach (you have to be a good swimmer). it's quite far from the town of Sayulita (3km-45 mins) but we got into the rhythm of walking there for dinner and supplies. the town has good restaurants, and the people are friendly. there's always something to do and look at.
Response from the owner The walk times (to the nearby beach and to town) depend on the person. A healthy adult can easily walk to the nearby beach in 7-10 minutes and to town in 25-30 at a relaxed pace (I have timed it many times). This particular renter had fairly severe medical issues, and though I was glad they stayed for the entire 10 days, (they were wonderful guests!) I was surprised, for, generally speaking, the walk back to the house is not for the handicapped, as there is a fair climb up the cobbled road to our house. Rental car or a taxi is an option, but some guests tell me they love the walk (it is beautiful) and would not have traded their walking experience for a car.
“Peace and tranquility in the Mexican jungle”
This beautifully appointed house was nestled in the Mexican jungle about a 15 min walk to a deserted beach and a short drive into the town of Sayulita. We awoke every morning to the sound of birdsong and marveled at the stars ever night before going to bed. A wonderful opportunity to recharge and rest and yet be near the town and its variety of restaurants. A car is a must.
Response from the owner I have found among many many renters that there are just as many views on car/no car. It is 1.2 miles from town, about a 7 -8 minute walk to the closest beach. Many people love the walk no matter how many times per day, many others love it but don't want to do it more than twice/day, others just don't want to walk. It is a very personal decision. I can rent a car any time I want but generally do not, as the walk through the jungle is the most peaceful part of my day.
“Quiet and peaceful jungle experience”
Upon arriving the first view is gorgeous to see the magnificient Balinese homes stand out while at the same time blending perfectly with the backdrop of the jungle. The homes transport you to an almost fairy tale land of intricately designed and carved teak structures cozily sitting in the serenity of the jungle. We stayed in the casa with all of the comforts of home and the added benefit of being greeted by the sight and song of beautiful tropical birds and an array of flowers. Morning coffee on the outdoor patio competed with dinner on the spacious side poorch for the best time of the day. The interior is colorful with nice art and with Balinese furniture that I could only wish was in my own home. The on-sight manager, fluent in English and Spanish, was very friendly and always helpful and available if needed. The homes are situated an easy 5 or so minute walk to a beautiful and almost always empty beach for swimming, sun bathing, or watching the sunsets. With a full kitchen (in the casa) and a hearty supply of fresh fruits and vegetables in town there was little need to visit restaurants and the sometime comotion of this vibrant and fun village, but heading into town was always a pleasant, thoughtful, and easy walk through a wide road in the jungle. The home was clean and fully stocked with towels, comfortable beds, and all kitchen necessities. Most impressive was our dealings with the owner, Ms. Collins, whose sincere concern for hospitality and wishing her guests a wonderful vacation was obvious and reassuring. My twelve year old daughter loved the entire experience including taking, with me, two week-long Spanish classes in town. For anyone wishing a wonderful vacation, with or without children, in a fun and quaint Mexican village and being able to stay in a remarkably unique and comfortable home in a pristine setting, I highly recommend staying here.
“It's a jungle out there”
This place is the definition of getting away. You are in the jungle but still within walking distance of the town. Total privacy, well maintained, a pure treat.
“An exotic taste of Mexico leaving you craving mas!”
This was my 4th visit to Sayulita! I'm in absolute love with this charming, little town and Baliville made it all the more amazing... It's certainly off the beaten path and the journey getting into the jungle is quite an adventure in itself, but once we made it to the our little oasis, I was truly in a jungle retreat. Waking and falling asleep each day & night to the sounds of the jungle & the ocean was like having my own sound machine from home at my bedside. The main house and casita are colorful, open, comfortable, & beautifully decorated with the flavors of Mexico and Bali. It was and always will be an unforgettable, exotic, family retreat for us!
