Telchac Puerto is a quiet and unspoiled fishing village where a handful of North American snowbirds have left the pressures of home behind to adapt to the laid back and relaxed rhythm of the Gulf of Mexico. You will feel at home here in this tranquil getaway where foreigners have adapted to Mexico, rather than the other way around, seen elsewhere in the bigger resorts of the Yucatan. Telchac is a place where you will find basic conveniences and services, but where the traditional Yucatecan values of courtesy, honesty and hospitality are still very much in evidence. We promise you that you will not be bothered by a single person hawking souvenirs.
Yet the busier port town of Progreso, with its shops, supermarkets and American hospital, is just a 25 minute drive. The white colonial city of Merida, with its nightly outdoor folkloric dance presentations, broad range of restaurants and shopping, including Costco, Sam’s Club and Walmart, is 50 minutes from Telchac on well maintained roads.

My husband and I spend four great nights at Villa Playa Del Faro. It was an excellent holiday house in an great location. We were very pleased by the close proximity to the town square and it is just like it shows in the pictures. Beautiful, right on the beach. The pool was clean and refreshing on a hot day. The house is well maintained, organised and very comfortable. The view from the upstairs patio for breakfast was a favorite. Next time we will stay for longer. The people of Telchac Peurto were very welcoming. Yvonne the property manager is very helpful in getting you settled in. We had an amazing time. Thanks so much!

We spent a week here duringDecember 2012 - January 2013.
We had a great time at this villa. The rooms were truly beautiful, with breathtaking views.The house was decorated just as nicely and was very comfortable.
The kitchen is especially well appointed, with everything you can possibly think of.
Internet works very well, large screen TV with huge amount of movies to watch.
We enjoyed the open air, fresh breezes and beautiful sunsets each evening.
Store to buy food was down the block, walking distance, and beach just steps away. When water was rough we spent time by the pool.
You could never be bored in this place.
We were very comfortable and felt like at home.

We spent Christmas at this property. It made it very special. The owners though only communicated via phone and email, were very friendly. The booking process was an ease also.
Weather was great. The property was perfect. Everything you need is there and in great shape. Kitchen, rooms, bathrooms,and pool very clean and all in perfect working order. Telchac Puerto is very peaceful. It is not for the party life, unless you bring your own. Nice privacy.

I recently came back from spending couple of weeks in Telchac Beach @ Villa Del Faro. The rental process was nothing but a pleasure! Imad and France are two of the most polite people I ever deal with.
The Villa is located at a perfect walking distance from stores, restaurants and the main Plaza (Downtown Telchac) so you will have easy access to everything you need.
The Villa is absolutely lovely and well equipped! All you need to bring is your clothes and sunblock! If you are a cook you will find anything you need in the kitchen to make a nice meal!.
The house has two nice size bedrooms which was perfect for our family ( My parents took one bedroom and me and my 2 young kids the other one) The beds are nice and comfy and I must point they have the soften sheets!
The Villa also has hundreds of movies, a great selection not only for adults for also for kids. The TV system is amazing as well, so treat yourself to a movie night at night time, make popcorn and relax!
The Caretaker, Ivonne, was also very nice and very helpful as well as Gary (pool guy) who make sure the pool was clean and ready for us at all times!
I'm planing to return to Villa Del Faro for more amazing times!

Four of us stayed at this lovely Villa with a sandy beach right out the front gate. A quiet and relaxing location with shops and restaurants. The home was very spacious and was equipped with everything you could need for cooking, outdoor activities and modern conveniences such as TV and wi-fi. The owner was wonderful to deal with and our arrangements went very smoothly. It was wonderful to look out and see dolphins swimming by in the ocean-a real highlight!

It was our first time in an non all inclusive resort. We really had a great vacation.The Villa was beautiful,brightly colored,nicely furnish in a word perfect.We were surprised by all the commodities on site...internet, big tv in the living room, impressive collection of dvd's and games,neat kitchen, heated swimmimg pool and a big balcony over looking the ocean. Wow... what a view! Amazing, peacefull and quiet. We walked for hours. As for the people, they were kind, always smiling and going out of their ways to make sure everything was perfect.We will always cherish those memories and we are looking forward going back for more! A special thank you to Imad, the owner, Gary the janitor and Mauricio the handyman (thank's for the fresh orange juice): )

The home was spacious, well stocked, beautifully furnished and ideally located in the town. It was just close enough to get to Merida or Progreso without having to give up the serenity quiet walks along the beach picking shells.
The property manager, Yvonne, was a wonderful resource. The house was well stocked, cared for and when our car broke down she became the go between and translator.
The roads and ease of driving in the Yucatan are wonderful and the people helpful and gracious. Getting around was easy. Having a pool just steps from the beach and a covered balcony that overlooks the both was just ideal. Everywhere we went, everyone was warm and gracious and helpful even when they didn't know much English. People shouldn't be concerned about being adventurous everything was safe.

Honestly,this was the best vacation I had for a long time.I'm the type of all included traveler.But I was so impressed by this villa that I'm planing to go again next march.The site is wonderful and very quiet.The villa is brand new,very well decorated and everything is there.You just feel like home,but in Yukatan by the ocean!!!Linens,towels,toilet paper,scottowels,kleenex,dishes,glasses,coffee machine,microwave,water dispenser,sound system,Ipod connections,42 inch HD TV,us & canadian channels by satellite dish,BlueRay & DVD BlueRay collection (+ than 130 DVD),hi-speed Wi-Fi,safe,full automatic washing machine,air conditioning,heated swimming pool with all the outdoor furnitures,outdoor shower by the pool,outdoor charcoal BBQ and all you can think of.Nothing is missing.There is even a high pressure water pump so the two showers can run at the same time with excellent pressure,which is rare.So what you really need to take with you is soap,shampoo,toothpaste,sunscreen lotion and your bathing suit.The little village of Telchac Puerto is very quiet and welcoming.We went walking at night and the place is very safe and the people are very polite and caring.There are places within 5 minute walk where you can buy the indispensable like milk,bread,butter,eggs,vegetables & fruits,soap,etc.There also is a Costco and a Wal-Mart in Merida,about 35 minute drive from villa.Lots of places to visit within one hour drive.But what I personnaly enjoyed most was to have a nice cool drink by the pool to the sound of waves just a few feet away.You can also go for a walk on the beach and walk for miles and miles...The ocean is beautiful and if you wake up early enough in the morning,you will observe the fishermen leaving on their boats.There are flamingos and pelicans you can observe too.Finally the roads to get from the airport to the villa are in very good condition and the instructions provided by the owner are easy to follow.Hope you enjoy as much as I did.You'll love the place!!!
