Set in a peaceful Valley just 20 minutes drive from Ullswater and within easy reach of the A69 and M6, Chapel House Cottage is the perfect spot for either a relaxing break away from it all, or an ideal base for an action packed outdoor vacation. Large Master Bedroom with marvelous views of the surrounding area. The room has a 2-seater settee & is dominated by a large panoramic floor-to-ceiling glass bay window with amazing views over the surrounding countryside. Bedroom 2 is equipped with one double and one single bed, as well as a cot for a baby or small child. Beautifully lit up with natural daylight and views over the rear garden and orchard of the adjoining Owner's Cottage. The Bathroom on the upper floor has a large combined bath/shower, toilet and washbasin. The combined large Living and Dining room has an open fire set in a traditional Lakeland fireplace in front of which there is a large settee and two armchairs. The dining area sits in a large bay window with a patio door to the large side garden and the dining table commands fantastic views over the surrounding countryside to the West. The sundowns are often a delight from this prime spot in the cottage. Free Parking is available for up to 2 cars.

“Peaceful luxury cottage”
More than we imagined, amazing well loved property. Everything provided, well stocked kitchen. Within walking distance of local pub with good food

Lovely retreat away with views over the fields. Garden fantastic for children and dog. Sofas and beds could be improved for comfort. Hosts lovely.

“Beautiful!!”
We had the most lovely, relaxing 5 days staying in this idyllic cottage. Beautifully quaint, very clean and tidy with some stunning views. We had everything we needed and were left to it. We shall definitely be returning. Thank you so much for a perfect setting to an amazing trip

“Great long weekend”
We had a great long weekend away at Chapel Cottage. The cottage is very tidy with great views over the countryside from both the downstairs front room & even more so from the master bedroom. Our young boys loved exploring in the garden & we enjoyed relaxing in the evenings in front of the open fire. Thank you to Sharu for our stay, she communicated with us before & during the stay to ensure we had everything we needed. We will definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

“Solid 4 star”
Very nice spacious. Everything you need for a lovely stay. In a good location to visit most places. Lovely and quiet with a good size garden. If you were wondering why only 4 stars, the whole place could have a bit cleaner, don't get me wrong, it wasnt dirty just a few little things, cleaner floors, windows, cobwebs ect. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again it was very nice.

“Chapel House Cottage”
We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a lovely big cottage in a very pretty area. It was convenient for us as we were attending a wedding in Armathwaite. The cottage is generally in good condition. A few minor points. The kitchen sink is very hard to use if you are tall as it’s under the stairs. There needs to be more cutlery. More toilet rolls and soap in both bathrooms would be good. A lock on the upstairs bathroom is pretty essential. It is worth noting that the lane up to the cottage is pretty rough, not surprising for the countryside but take care if your car’s suspension is low.
