Description from owner
Description
A converted barn into a superb, comfortable gite. Made of stone and chestnut construction, many of the features have been left in place and worked around to leave a wonderful character to your surroundings, for when you relax at the end of the day; whether you've been sightseeing or playing in the Pyrenees
The gite is spacious and has a fully equipped kitchen. The bedrooms are all en-suite shower/toilet/sink and all individually designed with huge showers. Ample seating area to sit and chat, or watch a DVD. The gite has heating.
The bedroom windows all look out straight onto the mountains, spectacular!! The location is excellent for most outdoor activities, nearest ski resort is only 25 minutes away, and Spain (for cheap booze and petrol) is a mere 20 minute drive from us.
Further details
For those that want to learn to ski, although I'm not an instructor, my background in skiing is very good (ex-RAF champion and British team), so for those starting out I can point you in the right direction,or, escort the more advanced of you about the slopes.
Further details indoors
Highchair, travel cots and a baby-bath are all available for the little ones. "The Hayloft" has 2 bedrooms, one with 2 double beds and a bunkbed. The other bedroom has 2 single beds.
Throughout the gite the wooden chestnut beams and arches are all visible and add to the wow factor of the place. The TV is only for DVDs. There are a selection of books for all ages and boardgames.
Any questions at all please ask us, we live on the property and help out when we can. We strongly advise you contact us if you have a smaller party to discuss prices, as we have a smaller gite at this location.
No pets and No smoking in the gites.
Further details outdoors
Set in the idyllic little village of Ore, surrounded by mountains, it really is a beautiful place to be. The steps to our house are the hottest steps in the world during the summer, and a great place to sit with a cold beer, whilst soaking up the scenery.
The Pyrenees are a big adventure playground for everyone, come and play in them!!
We strongly advise you contact us if you have a smaller party to discuss prices, as we have a smaller gite at this location.
