“A DELIGHTFUL SETTING FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE” We found this beautifully maintained house, modern but in the French style, quiet yet perfectly situated for travel though South West France. We visited Carcasonne,Toulouse, Narbonne, Andorra, the Western Riviera, even Barcelona Spain, easily by car from there in a day, finding the Limoux house a delight to return to and relax in after sightseeing. Accomodation for families, or up to four couples, makes the house very affordable, yet it has the feeling of a very intimate and special place. Its small but private grounds, plus the scenery and many fine restaurants in Limoux itself, make it an ideal place for a holiday: one we intend to repeat just as soon as we can.

“Chez Nick and Carolyn” What a find! Charming little B&B; just 50mins south-west of Carcassonne. Listen to the tinkling of the cow bells as you doze off to sleep after Nick's delicious four course evening meals and local wines, all sourced locally. Carolyn has all thought of everything from the hairdryer and cotton wool in the bathroom, to the eclectic selection of CDs. We loved our stay and came home wishing we were still sitting in the village square soaking up the sun and enjoying the friendship of our hosts.

“una vacanza fantastica” E' un appartamento tranquillo, molto pulito, e a due passi dai ristoranti, le piccole botteghe, il mercato e il fiume. Limoux poi e' un punto perfetto per visitare sia la costa che la parte montana della zona. L'appartamento e' stato ristrutturato di recente, percio' la cucina, il bagno, le imposte, la camera, era tutto nuovissimo! I proprietari sono delle persone squisite e tra l'altro parlano inglese. Ci hanno potuto consigliare i luoghi da non perdere e i vini doc della zona. Incantevole, non vediamo l'ora di ritornare per il carnevale!

“Peace and Quiet in the Country” La Maison Bleue is an oasis of calm in the hamlet of Sonnac sur L'Hers. It is easy to find and delightful to return to each day after touring. The house has lovely outdoor spaces in front of the dwelling or on the back terrace overlooking hills and fields with sheep and cows. Very restful. Interior space is good, beds are comfortable and linens of top quality. Our hosts left us farm fresh eggs, bread, milk, tea and coffee to get us started as well as olive oil, herbs and balsamic vinegar in the cupboards. Fresh flowers adorned the dining table. There is a good selection of Dvd's should you wish to stay home of an evening and catch a feel good film. If you wish, Nigel will make you dinner at the next door B&B.; It's a very good deal! Carolyn is a charming hostess. I recommend this vacation home to anyone who enjoys a tranquil holiday.

“Fabulous house -- Great kitchen!!!” We were so pleasantly surprised by Maison Juliette. From the pictures online we thought it could go either way, but the pictures did not do the house justice. It is huge. It is clean - nicely decorated. It was a bit too cold in November to enjoy the garden, but even just having the green space surrounding that side of the house added to the experience. The kitchen was wonderful. One of our traveling companions is a real gourmand who had come to cook, and it even passed her high standards.

“Comfortable, clean & welcoming” Have stayed with Debbie & Steve a couple of times. They have done a great job converting part of their home into this very comfortable gite, with all modern facilities. They are excellent hosts - on hand if needed but respecting one's privacy and very much aware that it is your holiday home for the duration. The location is very handy for Carcassone, the canal du Midi & many local sites & attractions. Limoux is the nearest large & very pleasant market town. We have also stopped off in our campervan en route to Spain. Their large barn offers plenty of space + hook up and, if the gite is free, lovely shower to be had! They will also produce delicious meals on request. The only downside is the lack of facilities in the village, although there is bread delivery. Would thoroughly recommend for a quiet, typically French rural stay.
