“Even better than the photos - just beautiful” Stayed a week at Geoffrey's lovely villa with family including our 5 month old daughter. Such a great property, beautiful gardens and wonderful place to stay in a good neighbourhood. Just a 15-20 min walk to Ubud with plenty of great walks and dining options locally. The property is even more beautiful than the photos suggest. Very comfortable lodgings and lush gardens. The staff were very friendly and took great care of us and the property while we were there. All of us felt very fortunate to stay in this fantastic villa - highly recommended!

“Peace on Earth” Words really don’t do such a fantastic place justice, but I will try connect you to what we have discovered. Please believe me when I say this is a must on your bucket list!!! Everything was absolutely perfect during our entire stay. Made and Kadek the staff at the Villa were very accommodating they were there to assist us with anything we needed. We spent 90% of our time in Rumah Kayu because we prefer the seclusion and everything we needed was already there. We loved "The beach" area, which is directly outside the front door, the kids loved exploring the rock pools in low tide and snorkelling in high tide . The villa was beautiful and very clean. The views from the decks are breathtaking, especially as you look onto the beach while sitting in the infinity pool. For the kids there is so much to do ball; games, drawing, soccer, cricket, badminton, baseball, banana boat rides and of course the awesome pool. I've been at Rumah kayu Villa now several times. With friends, family, In any case, this piece of Heaven on Earth has become a dear place to us. My sister describes it as one of her favorite places on earth that just makes her happy, we all feel the same about this oasis. There is so much to do! You can explore the island, the staff can charter a boat for you where you can go snorkelling, we’ve seen dolphins, manta rays, turtles and amazing sea life. I love it here so much that when i think "retreat", "relaxation", "recharging", "beauty", “exploration”, “family time” and “fun” I think of Rumah kayu Villa! Go to this well kept secret in Nusa Lembongan and i am sure you will keep it in your heart forever! .. I know it can be scary to book something online that you have never seen, but I promise-you will NOT be disappointed!!!

“Best accommodation of our entire trip” Myself and two friends travelled to Bali late in January, which was the first visit to Indonesia for all of us. Our first stop was Angel Villa and it was the best introduction to Bali we could possibly have asked for. Annie and Rod (as well as being fantastic hosts) are so knowledgeable not only of Balinese culture, but also of the local surrounds, and so for Bali novices like ourselves, we found ourselves saying "We'll ask Annie when we get back" whenever there was something we didn't fully understand, and without fail, they had the answers. Their recommendations were consistently spot on, not only for fantastic local places to eat and drink, but also for shopping destinations like for silver jewelery etc, and the best ways to get around - locally, as well as off to our next destination. We stayed in the Poolside room, which is the larger room of the two on offer, and is lovely and light, with fans and air-con to relieve the humid and hot temperatures. On days we weren't out exploring, the Villa was a fantastic place to relax - we spent a lot of time on the balai or relaxing by the pool, reading, playing cards and/or having a couple of bintangs. The gardens are exquisite and provide a brilliant oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the streets. Given it's a homestay there is a fully equipped kitchen, and while we used it for snacks only, if you were interested in cooking a 'proper' meal you'd find everything you need, and the local supermarket is a 5 min walk away. The location in Mas is great - out of the crazy-ness of Ubud which is a huge plus, but still easy enough to get in to Ubud if and when you want to. Local market is spitting distance away for all things fresh (and is a must visit), as are cheap warungs for delicious local style food, as well as slightly more expensive restaurant style places if you so desire. Great bar called Dstar which has live music a few times a week is also easy walking distance away. Oh, and did I mention the pool?!?! As hosts Annie and Rod are very respectful - there when you need them, but at the same time it really felt like we had the place to ourselves most of the time. There is no curfew, and we all felt very comfortable to come and go as we pleased. And I know it' might seem like a small thing, but over our couple of weeks in both Bali and on the Gili Islands, Angel Villa had by far the absolute best water pressure of all our accommodation choices! Loved staying here, would return without hesitation.

“Ubud Paradise” Upon arrival, I was blown away by how gorgeous the Villa was! The vibe and environment was so completely in sync with the spirit of Bali, I felt completely at peace and zen. The location was perfect, far enough away from the tourist throng and pollution and yet close enough to zoom into Ubud town for dinner and a drink. I cannot recommend it highly enough. 5 stars all round!

“Magical every time” Villa Nusa on the beautiful island of Nusa Lembongan has become my home away from home, literally. I have been fortunate enough to stay at this amazing villa 5 times over the past 18 months, and when i arrive i am greeted like family, even Sassie (Donnas Dog) is part of the welcoming committee & from that moment the magic that has enticed me time & time again begins. The view from the villa is breathtaking, looking across to Bali with Mt agung the hero of this unframed living artwork. At any time of the day or evening you can not help but stop and be lost in the beauty surrounding you. Unless you venture away from the beachside accommodation and up the unspoilt hill you will not experience the ever-changing living canvas that is the view from Villa Nusa. Donnas Hospitality extends beyond welcoming to advice on island life , restaurant recommendations range from the truly local experience of beach dining with your feet in the sand feasting on freshly caught grilled fish with coconut chilli sambal, vegetable and rice for approx. 30,000.00 rupiah, to Fine French Cuisine at Indiana Kandanga. On this visit Donna took me snorkelling with the Manta-Rays, a truly magical experience with 3 large rays gracefully gliding around us around as if inviting us to dance, to be so close and to swim with these gentle giants is a privilege and something to treasure. I could rave about the fabulous accommodation, large pool, beautiful gardens, waking up to the birds and the View.. Mt agung changing colour in the morning light, but hey thats why i keep going back. Its really hard to leave the villa and if you decide to stay in I highly recommend the chocolate brownies & ice cream delivered from the village by motorbike just to make the experience even sweeter. “Very authentic Ubud living from hospitable host” In our week's stay in Bali, Ubud was the 2nd destination and we loved it. No doubt Ubud is known for it's art works and culture and agung had made sure that his villa resembles the very essence of it. The villa is located right at the south-west edge of Ubud and is not the easiest place to be found. On the way, one can find all the marvelous wood carved artifacts on the village streets. The villa was built away from the main street in a quieter area with greeneries all around. It's amazing to find so much of trees around, yet there was not much of an issue with bugs/insects/mosquitoes. The kitchen is located just besides the cool private pool where we could enjoy the evening with some drinks and delicious local dishes. If you're interested in local cuisines, check out "Soka Kitchen" who had served the best authentic Balinese dishes at a very reasonable price (they also have home delivery which is even more convenient). None of the rooms got any aC, but Ubud is rather cooler compared to other parts of Bali and so we felt rather comfortable with the stand fans. Agung was extremely helpful all the way and gave us 1st hand experience of the local attractions and culture of Ubud. He himself had taken us around Ubud with visits to Monkey forest, the museums, art galleries, the spectacular rice fields. Pity we didn't have enough time to check out the Balinese dance or religious rituals in the local temples. A walk around the village in the morning breathing the fresh air and greeted with smiling locals is an unique experience and I'd suggest if you're looking for a trip to Bali, spend a few days in Ubud. Agung's villa can provide all amenities at a reasonable price for a family vacation.

“Absolutely wonderful!” The Harmony Villas are really top rate. All of the services provided were excellent. All of the staff was attentive without being over bearing. Breakfast was cooked each morning in the villa; cars were arranged for transport to town whenever we wanted. Harmony Villa is located about 5 minutes away from all of the action in Ubud. The location was peaceful and quiet, but excitement was right around the corner if that's what you wanted. The views of the rice fields were hypnotic. The infinity pool was refreshing. Loved everything and cannot wait to return!

“A conseiller tres fortement” Hotel incroyable... Que de bonnes surprises et notre coeur est partage entre la douceur des lieux et la gentillesse du personnel. La grande piscine surplombe une belles vallee verte. La suite est superbe ainsi que la vue qu elle offre. Resto tres bon... Les services sont remaquables... Ils ont recupere nos bagages perdus a l aeroport, ils nous ont laisse les aider en cuisine pour apprendre la cuisine locale, nous avons prefere les adresses proposees par l hotel plutot que par nos guides, velos a disposition pour sortir de l hotel et visiter les environs et les locaux toujours souriants... Du coup on a prolonge d une nuit notre sejour... Le leger point negatif, un peu loin de Ubud, par contre navette a disposition a volonte. Un grand merci au personnel toujours presents et qui nous ont soigne comme des rois. A tres bientot dans se petit bout de paradis...

“Better than 5 Star!” To understand how nice this property is, I need to give some context. Prior to staying at Villa Pura Padi my family (6) and I had stayed on a 5 star luxury all Villa Resort in the most Southerly pint of Bali. I told the kids not to expect the Ubud accommodation to be anywhere near as good as the Villa we had stayed in previously. But it was better! Beautifully designed by a French interior designer, stunning uninterupted views from almost every window of the padi fields and temple. Every mod con you could ask for. Quality furnishings and artwork with high ceilings. Oh and the master bathroom - Stunning Tirta who lives next to the property could not have been more helpful. He drove my family around and even lent me his own bike so I could take off and explore.

“Modern, Comfortable and Secure” We enjoyed our stay in Villa asri. It is modern, well appointed, comfortable and secured by a surrounding wall - not that we felt threatened in any way, quite the contrary. Penestanan is a wonderful village close to Ubud. It has a number of good cafe/restaurants, some with entertainment, and is surrounded by pretty interlaced pathways which take you through lush picturesque countryside. Our villa was serviced by 'houseboy' Kadek, who cleans, changes sheets and provides breakfast and has a delightful, unassuming personality. We used a motor bike to get to Ubud in approx 5-10 minutes, subject to traffic, and there is a taxi service close by. It is about a 20 minute walk. Our only problem was the internet connection but the villa manager, Steve, provided us with two modems from different providers which fixed it most of the time. Recommended for its fabulous location, comfort and amenities.

“understated luxury, impeccable gracious service.” I had the pleasure of staying at Sayang Estate in September and it truly was exceptional. The grounds are immaculate spacious and private. The interior simple, airy and elegant. Many villas in Bali can be a bit "dated" or overdone in decor. Villa Sayang strikes the right cord of authentic Bali feel meets chic modern boutique. All of our needs were attended to most graciously from delivering wine and motorbikes to Babi guling but we were always given just the right amount of privacy. Fantastic location. Easy to get to town, restaurants and grocery store. My very favorite part of the day... breakfast in the open living room bale. Fresh fruits, local honey, yogurt, omelets and the best coffee! Thanks for a great stay!

“Romantic and serene” We stayed at Villa Sujati for 2 nights in April with our 4 month old baby. It was wonderfully peaceful and serene after the bustle of Seminyak and I only wish we could have stayed on for longer. The walk down the path through the paddy fields was lovely and not too much trouble even with our baby in a carrier and the surrounding noise of crickets, roosters, dogs etc were all distant and pleasantly added to the atmosphere. Whilst the villa is a little remote from the town centre there were plenty of great cafes and warungs within walking distance so we weren't left wanting. The 'staff' (and the owner, Ketut, in particular) were lovely, friendly and trips into town, a cot and even babysitting was organised at a moments notice. Downsides: the sheer curtains throughout do mean there's little chance of sleeping in as the bedrooms become flooded with light at dawn, but with a little baby there was none of that for us anyway. And despite being surrounded by rice paddies on all sides (think stagnant water) there were surprisingly very few mosquitoes - but they were present and they bit my defenseless little one. There weren't many of them but we had to create a makeshift mosquito net over his cot using one of the curtains to protect him. All in all, I'd very happily stay here again.

“A home away from home” We stayed at Rumah Tyang for 8 nights and had a wonderful time. The villa is spacious, clean and tastefully decorated in Balinese style, as shown in the photos. The location is very convenient - about a 15 minute walk to Ubud centre yet quiet and private. There was plenty of room for 6 adults. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped. The lounge room does not have air-conditioning and can get a bit hot, but the bedrooms are all air-conditioned. The lighting is a bit dim and could be improved. The swimming pool was clean and very refreshing. The outdoor pool area was very pleasant in the evenings and mornings. The booking process went smoothly and Juliana was very prompt at answering any questions. The driver, Nyoman, was excellent – very helpful and a very safe driver. He met us at the airport and was available whenever we called him (a phone is supplied). He was happy to answer all our questions about Bali and organise any bookings for us. The house staff, Agus and Made, kept the house spotless and were available whenever we needed them. At the same time, they respected our privacy and only came into the house when we called them. They will cook you breakfast if you supply the ingredients. I would definitely recommend this place. It is very good value for the quality of the accommodation and the services provided.
