“Even better than the photos - just beautiful” Stayed a week at Geoffrey's lovely villa with family including our 5 month old daughter. Such a great property, beautiful gardens and wonderful place to stay in a good neighbourhood. Just a 15-20 min walk to Ubud with plenty of great walks and dining options locally. The property is even more beautiful than the photos suggest. Very comfortable lodgings and lush gardens. The staff were very friendly and took great care of us and the property while we were there. All of us felt very fortunate to stay in this fantastic villa - highly recommended!

“Oasis in Ubud” We stayed at this beautiful little villa for 5 nights and it was fantastic, it is a private villa that is close to everything. The staff were exceptional and the owner Kath & Wayan were helpful with anything required including sending back a forgotten piece of clothing! I highly recommend anyone looking for a lovely villa that is close to everything, there is no need for a taxi as you can walk to all the key parts of town. Lastly breakfast is great - icing on the cake.

“Awesome!” Villa Manis is so beautiful! Very close to centre 15min walk yet quiet location. The villa design incl interior is awesome, Mary Lee has definetly a good taste and talent, with attenion to details - everything you need are there and she made herself available to queries, so no need to worry about anything. Surely I'd like to return back whenever visiting Ubud.

“Peace on Earth” Words really don’t do such a fantastic place justice, but I will try connect you to what we have discovered. Please believe me when I say this is a must on your bucket list!!! Everything was absolutely perfect during our entire stay. Made and Kadek the staff at the Villa were very accommodating they were there to assist us with anything we needed. We spent 90% of our time in Rumah Kayu because we prefer the seclusion and everything we needed was already there. We loved "The beach" area, which is directly outside the front door, the kids loved exploring the rock pools in low tide and snorkelling in high tide . The villa was beautiful and very clean. The views from the decks are breathtaking, especially as you look onto the beach while sitting in the infinity pool. For the kids there is so much to do ball; games, drawing, soccer, cricket, badminton, baseball, banana boat rides and of course the awesome pool. I've been at Rumah kayu Villa now several times. With friends, family, In any case, this piece of Heaven on Earth has become a dear place to us. My sister describes it as one of her favorite places on earth that just makes her happy, we all feel the same about this oasis. There is so much to do! You can explore the island, the staff can charter a boat for you where you can go snorkelling, we’ve seen dolphins, manta rays, turtles and amazing sea life. I love it here so much that when i think "retreat", "relaxation", "recharging", "beauty", “exploration”, “family time” and “fun” I think of Rumah kayu Villa! Go to this well kept secret in Nusa Lembongan and i am sure you will keep it in your heart forever! .. I know it can be scary to book something online that you have never seen, but I promise-you will NOT be disappointed!!!

“A Wonderful 'Getaway' Villa” I've visited Bali on multiple occasions over the last 10 years but after my wife, 18-month old son, a friend, and I spent 4 nights at the villa in Penestanan, I will never bother looking for anywhere else to stay. The villa is extremely well thought out and designed to make the best use of the space with a reasonable size swimming pool and garden area for enjoying the sun. The two double bedrooms are beautifully furnished and boast exquisite outdoor bathrooms. The kitchen/dining/living area is open plan and extremely spacious even for several adults. It is clear that a tremendous amount of thought has gone in to ensuring you want for nothing and caters for your every need; in addition to the large fridge/freezer, 3-burner gas hob, flatscreen TV, DVD player, iPod dock, and wifi, it is also supplied with a toaster, juicer, coffee plunger, umbrellas, and inflatable beds for the swimming pool! Not only does the villa ooze quality, but it is also fabulously appointed in an extremely quiet neighbourhood, yet only 5 minutes walk to the well known The Bridges restaurant and Murni's warung. We all left the villa planning how soon we could return! I couldn't recommend it highly enough!

“Back to paradise” How excited I was to enjoy yet another stay at this beautiful hidden oasis. This time I was back with the family(husband and 2 teenage boys). Again, I was mesmerised by the tranquillity and ambience of Teras Sungai. It truly felt like coming home. There is no other place in all of Bali that I can truly relax and recharge the batteries. Again, I found the villa to be meticulously clean. The staff are on hand to make your stay as carefree and memorable as they can. Again, the breakfast, juices and service was top class. No request was ever a problem for Wayan Snr. The hosts Wayan and Kath Were always available to answer questions and offer advice. My only complaint was, that I didn't want to leave at the end of our stay. So Teras Sungai, it is not goodbye because I will be back to soak up the magic once again.

“Best Spot in Ubud... Maybe even Bali!” We loved Villa Via (and Villa Jepun and Hibiscus). Yes we stayed in all three villas on four separate stays in 6 weeks of travel in Bali. We travelled all over the island and continued to return to the beauty, calm, cleanliness and privacy of the villa's at Devi's Place. Villa Via was our favourite of all three. The beautiful clean kitchen allowed to do much of our cooking on our own, and when we didn't feel like it, the lovely staff coordinated food delivery for us. We also had the option to order from Murdi, part of the Devi's Place team who made amazing home cooked Indonesian food, and some delicious western dishes too. The staff go above and beyond, always friendly, available and very helpful. We loved the views of the rice fields and our early morning walks. We were on a working holiday and appreciated the reliable internet (hard to find on the island). For $5/day you can grab a motorbike that they have available for guests and go explore Ubud. The proximity to Intuitive Flow Yoga, Yellow Flower Cafe, Sari Organik and alchemy were great. We loved the short walk to Cantika Zest for the best spa treatments of anywhere in Ubud, and also treated ourselves to massages in the villa too. We left three other properties ahead of schedule to return to Devi's Place. It truly is a gem, incredible value for the experience and comfort. It was clean, no air fresheners (which are everywhere in most villas), great water pressure, beautiful and private salt-water pool, comfortable sitting area and stocked with Dvds. This place was absolutely perfect!

“Best accommodation of our entire trip” Myself and two friends travelled to Bali late in January, which was the first visit to Indonesia for all of us. Our first stop was Angel Villa and it was the best introduction to Bali we could possibly have asked for. Annie and Rod (as well as being fantastic hosts) are so knowledgeable not only of Balinese culture, but also of the local surrounds, and so for Bali novices like ourselves, we found ourselves saying "We'll ask Annie when we get back" whenever there was something we didn't fully understand, and without fail, they had the answers. Their recommendations were consistently spot on, not only for fantastic local places to eat and drink, but also for shopping destinations like for silver jewelery etc, and the best ways to get around - locally, as well as off to our next destination. We stayed in the Poolside room, which is the larger room of the two on offer, and is lovely and light, with fans and air-con to relieve the humid and hot temperatures. On days we weren't out exploring, the Villa was a fantastic place to relax - we spent a lot of time on the balai or relaxing by the pool, reading, playing cards and/or having a couple of bintangs. The gardens are exquisite and provide a brilliant oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the streets. Given it's a homestay there is a fully equipped kitchen, and while we used it for snacks only, if you were interested in cooking a 'proper' meal you'd find everything you need, and the local supermarket is a 5 min walk away. The location in Mas is great - out of the crazy-ness of Ubud which is a huge plus, but still easy enough to get in to Ubud if and when you want to. Local market is spitting distance away for all things fresh (and is a must visit), as are cheap warungs for delicious local style food, as well as slightly more expensive restaurant style places if you so desire. Great bar called Dstar which has live music a few times a week is also easy walking distance away. Oh, and did I mention the pool?!?! As hosts Annie and Rod are very respectful - there when you need them, but at the same time it really felt like we had the place to ourselves most of the time. There is no curfew, and we all felt very comfortable to come and go as we pleased. And I know it' might seem like a small thing, but over our couple of weeks in both Bali and on the Gili Islands, Angel Villa had by far the absolute best water pressure of all our accommodation choices! Loved staying here, would return without hesitation.

“Wonderful hideaway in Ubud” This place is truly a gem. I stayed here for 3 weeks in April. It's in the middle of the paddi fields yet it is a short walk away from the main road in Penestanan. The villa is beautiful and it was great to come back to have your own pool and small kitchen and beautiful bathroom. My only recommendation is that the villa make available the following: - access to a motorbike/driver during the stay as it is dark and difficult to walk back at night - a local mobile phone so that you can ask questions and stay in contact with the villa management if you have to ask a question. As this villa is by itself, if something goes wrong, there was no way to contact them. Luckily they gave me a phone when I asked for it as one night, the gas in the kitchen ran out and it had to be changed immediately. - a small booklet letting guests know what they can do in the surrounding areas, amenities available such as restaurants, phone numbers, yoga studios, shopping, laundry services etc. - provide mosquito coils for the outdoor area and electric coils in the bedroom as there are alot of mosquitoes around. I had to buy my own. - provide a fan in the outdoor area as it can get very hot when the air is still. - the internet is somewhat spotty but it could just be Indonesia though. Overall, I had a really pleasant stay and would definately stay here again when I return to Ubud.

“Beautiful setting in an authentic Bali villa with everything you” Helen and Kadeo could no have been more welcoming. Helen gave us lots of information before we arrived and provided a few things we asked for including airport pick up and a brand new baby car seat. We were pleasantly surprised by the walk to the villa having imagined a bit of a trek it really was only 5 minutes through the rice paddies which we easily managed with two asleep children (aged 3 & 4) and our bags with kareoke help and a torch! It all added to a sense of adventure. In the day light this walk was wonderful and we saw beautiful views villas and lots of wildlife including ducks frogs dragonfly dogs etc to the delight of the boys. Karens breakfast was gorgeous and she was very good with the kids. The villa was beautifully decorated but so you didn't feel at home and they encouraged us to move anything around to make us happy. The two bedrooms outdoor ensuites and huge open plan living area was lovely with ceiling fans and aC. The outdoor patio, pool and Bali hut were stunning and very private with high walls and a lovely wooden door out to the paddies. We stayed 5 days and spent one at the elephant sanctuary which was well worth the pricy entrance, Kadek arranged a driver for around $30 au for 4-5 hrs. We felt quite close to Ubud centre too but didn't walk there only because it was a bit tricky on the narrow roads with kids but taxis were good and very cheap. We are at dreams cafe on the oath many times and loved the food and ambience my son started to look like banana fritters and my husband and I like nasi goreng! Amazing place and we felt so welcome thanks again to Helen for her lovely impromptu australia Day get together we were so kindly included in! Btw we took every mozzie repellant and had no problems or need for it also no sickness which is quite am achievement when your toddler eats off the floor! Highly recommend pondok iman for families or couples.

“Totally relaxed holiday , with everything we needed.” My wife and I had a most relaxing holiday while staying at the villa. the accommodation suited us and the beds in particular were wonderful after flying there tired, and needing a long sleep. The staff were helpful, friendly, and the food delicious. Waking up to the sounds of the waves, and seeing the local villagers going about their day was a pleasure. When we wanted to, we were driven to most places by Dewa, always ready to help. The location is close to places we often frequent when visiting bali which suited us more. The owners went out of their way to make sure we were well looked after. Our son will be staying there soon, we told him about the good surfing waves outside the villa. Wonderful break, thanks to all, see you next year.

“Great Experience!” Great experience, place and staff! Would definatley stay again. The room was clean and grounds were beautiful. We rented a scooter to get into town, which was a few minutes away. Nice and quiet and felt very safe! Staff were very helpful and were always available to help us if needed.

“A relaxing authentic Balinese experience” Sumara House is an absolutely delightful authentic villa surrounded by beautiful gardens. If you like space and privacy this villa is ideal. It is also very conveniently located within close proximity to restaurants, spas and galleries and the staff are fantastic. Central Ubud is either a 20 minute walk or a $5.00 taxi ride.

“Ubud Paradise” Upon arrival, I was blown away by how gorgeous the Villa was! The vibe and environment was so completely in sync with the spirit of Bali, I felt completely at peace and zen. The location was perfect, far enough away from the tourist throng and pollution and yet close enough to zoom into Ubud town for dinner and a drink. I cannot recommend it highly enough. 5 stars all round!

“Magical every time” Villa Nusa on the beautiful island of Nusa Lembongan has become my home away from home, literally. I have been fortunate enough to stay at this amazing villa 5 times over the past 18 months, and when i arrive i am greeted like family, even Sassie (Donnas Dog) is part of the welcoming committee & from that moment the magic that has enticed me time & time again begins. The view from the villa is breathtaking, looking across to Bali with Mt agung the hero of this unframed living artwork. At any time of the day or evening you can not help but stop and be lost in the beauty surrounding you. Unless you venture away from the beachside accommodation and up the unspoilt hill you will not experience the ever-changing living canvas that is the view from Villa Nusa. Donnas Hospitality extends beyond welcoming to advice on island life , restaurant recommendations range from the truly local experience of beach dining with your feet in the sand feasting on freshly caught grilled fish with coconut chilli sambal, vegetable and rice for approx. 30,000.00 rupiah, to Fine French Cuisine at Indiana Kandanga. On this visit Donna took me snorkelling with the Manta-Rays, a truly magical experience with 3 large rays gracefully gliding around us around as if inviting us to dance, to be so close and to swim with these gentle giants is a privilege and something to treasure. I could rave about the fabulous accommodation, large pool, beautiful gardens, waking up to the birds and the View.. Mt agung changing colour in the morning light, but hey thats why i keep going back. Its really hard to leave the villa and if you decide to stay in I highly recommend the chocolate brownies & ice cream delivered from the village by motorbike just to make the experience even sweeter. “Beauty, peace, service beyond” We stayed in Jepun Cottage for a week prior to our son's wedding in Australia. It was a perfect combination of serene setting, proximity to activities, food and spas, the exotic beauty of Bali and gracious hospitality. Ketut and Janny advised and arranged day trips including a challenging, whole day tramp through rice fields and forests, directed us to the best places for food and entertainment and chatted with us about the history and society of Bali. Their service was needed even more after we left. When I arrived in Australia I discovered I had lost some jewelry which had been my mom's. While not valuable in dollar terms, it is precious to me. Janny responded to my emails with negative results from her searches of our cottage and I returned home resigned to the loss of this family treasure. Lo and behold, as they say, some two months later I received another email from Janny celebrating the finding of my black jewel case. Janny, not satisfied that she had exhausted the search, had gotten a ladder and a flashlight and found it pressed up against the back of our in-cottage safe which was rather high up in an armoire. She went to some trouble with customs, etc. to have it couriered to me here in Canada. This personal interest in the well-being of guests will be yours to experience if you have the good fortune to stay at Devi's Place. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

“Fantastic location” We stayed 4 nights at villa number 4 in a group of 6 adults and 2 children. The location of the villa is fantastic, nestled in between the beach (just 5 minutes walking distance) and the main street with many restaurants and shops. Hardy's supermarket is also a short walk away (about 500 metres). The kitchen was fully equipped, though we didn't cook as there were so many food options nearby. The villa felt very private and the kids really loved playing in the pool after a long day (a point to note: the pool is rather deep - we brought along some inflatable floats for the children). One minor complaint was that one or two of the lights in the villa were not working. It wasn't a big issue, hence we didn't felt the need to get it fixed. Michele made sure that the entire stay - from booking of accomodation and day tours to checking-out - went about smoothly with no hiccups. Ajik and the other guide (I didn't get his name) were also fantastic - they were very knowledgeable and made sure that our bali tour was fun and educational. We are happy to have chosen to stay here for our first trip to Bali and will certainly consider this villa again if we return.

“Very authentic Ubud living from hospitable host” In our week's stay in Bali, Ubud was the 2nd destination and we loved it. No doubt Ubud is known for it's art works and culture and agung had made sure that his villa resembles the very essence of it. The villa is located right at the south-west edge of Ubud and is not the easiest place to be found. On the way, one can find all the marvelous wood carved artifacts on the village streets. The villa was built away from the main street in a quieter area with greeneries all around. It's amazing to find so much of trees around, yet there was not much of an issue with bugs/insects/mosquitoes. The kitchen is located just besides the cool private pool where we could enjoy the evening with some drinks and delicious local dishes. If you're interested in local cuisines, check out "Soka Kitchen" who had served the best authentic Balinese dishes at a very reasonable price (they also have home delivery which is even more convenient). None of the rooms got any aC, but Ubud is rather cooler compared to other parts of Bali and so we felt rather comfortable with the stand fans. Agung was extremely helpful all the way and gave us 1st hand experience of the local attractions and culture of Ubud. He himself had taken us around Ubud with visits to Monkey forest, the museums, art galleries, the spectacular rice fields. Pity we didn't have enough time to check out the Balinese dance or religious rituals in the local temples. A walk around the village in the morning breathing the fresh air and greeted with smiling locals is an unique experience and I'd suggest if you're looking for a trip to Bali, spend a few days in Ubud. Agung's villa can provide all amenities at a reasonable price for a family vacation.

“Absolutely wonderful!” The Harmony Villas are really top rate. All of the services provided were excellent. All of the staff was attentive without being over bearing. Breakfast was cooked each morning in the villa; cars were arranged for transport to town whenever we wanted. Harmony Villa is located about 5 minutes away from all of the action in Ubud. The location was peaceful and quiet, but excitement was right around the corner if that's what you wanted. The views of the rice fields were hypnotic. The infinity pool was refreshing. Loved everything and cannot wait to return!
