Description
A fantastic and romantic stone chalet in the heart of Tuscany. On the ground floor you'll find an open living room & kitchen (tv & wifi included). The bedroom (with Jacuzzi) and bathroom are on the top floor. Outside a fully equipped patio (table, chairs & BBQ) are for your use, where you can enjoy the peaceful and beautiful landscape of the surrounding hills near Lucca. Just a 10 min walk will take you to Benabbio - where you'll find restaurants and local shops.
The Chalet is an apartment surrounded by an oak forest near Benabbio, just a few km from Bagni di Lucca, famous for its thermal waters and the old Casino, the first in Europe.
Benabbio, unlike other villages in the region, is hidden among its forests which makes it a private and peaceful place, ideal for a holiday or for a relaxing break. Despite this, the chalet is just a 10 min walk away from two restaurants and local shops (newsagent and groceries). Tranquility and the secluded location offer countless leisure ideas such as walks in the woods of chestnut and oak trees. You can also easily visit the old Romanesque church, the Art Museum and the remains of the Wolf Lupari castle which have recently been the subject of archaeological excavations.
Additionally, given the proximity, you can arrange day tours in the famous cities in Tuscany (Florence, Siena, Lucca and Pisa).
Otherwise, you can just relax at the chalet and enjoy the scenery and the amenities offfered (patio, BBq, tv, wifi).
The chalet has been renovated maintaining the original characteristics and using typical Tuscan style and materials and is furbished with antique and traditional furniture.
The apartment has a large double bedroom with Jacuzzi and a bathroom with a shower. If needed, 2 single beds are available instead of the double. On the ground floor you'll find a living room with kitchenette, sofa and TV.
The patio is provided with table and chairs for outside eating.
You'll also find everything for babies (cot, highchair etc.) free of charge.
I like to get to know my guests and to make their stay relaxing and memorable. If the guests are interested, I like to explain the history of the surroundings. I have a farm and I can take you around and talk to you about my passion and experience.
In the village of Benabbio you'll find a grocery store with local products, a newsagent, two restaurants. There is also a taxi driver on request from Benabbio.
You can arrange day tours to famous cities in Tuscany (Florence, Siena, Lucca and Pisa) or to the seaside (Viareggio, Marina di Pisa) or to the mountains (Garfagnana, Abetone).
Currently the arrival to the chalet is not optimal due the poor road conditions (we are waiting on approvals in order to improve it). I therefore lend my 4x4 car to all my guests so they can reach the chalet with no difficulties.
