Description

Chestnut Lodge is designed to provide a unique wood cabin experience with comfortable 'home from home' accommodation and is ideal for up to 4 people. The Lodge is set in the heart of highland Perthshire within the Cairngorms National Park, home to Britain's highest and most massive mountain range.

Situated on the bank of the River Tilt, the lodge is a charming log cabin that has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. The cabin features double and twin bedrooms with bedside USB charging points, Amtico flooring and gas central heating throughout. Guests can access the free wifi, and Sonos music system while relaxing in the open plan lounge which features a real effect wood burning stove. The french doors lead out to decking on three sides with outdoor furniture to allow al fresco dining on summer evenings.

The lodge is ideally located for many activities including, walking, fishing, golf, mountain biking, pony trekking, horse riding, rafting, skiing and even bungee jumping. There are lots of places to visit including local distilleries, castles, and museums and there are many local events. Chestnut Lodge is in easy reach of Perth, Dunkeld and Pitlochry with convenient transport connections by road and rail.

Whatever you choose to do during your stay, at the end of the day there will always be a warm welcome at the lodge where you can relax, put your feet up and enjoy a wee dram by the fire.

Getting around

Getting around could not be much easier considering where Blair Atholl is situated. By Train At Blair Atholl Station is just over half a mile from the station connecting to Inverness and the North and Perth, Edinburgh, Glasgow etc to the South. By Bus Citylink offer bus services between Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and Inverness. Citylink stop outside the Atholl Arms in Blair Atholl. Bus Service: Yule (Elizabeth) of Pitlochry Taxi Service: Seb Taxi Service Pitlochry

“Great base for a weekend wedding at the castle”

Nice lodge in a great location with easy access to Blair Atholl and surrounding area. Lovely and clean with lots of nice homely, thoughtful touches. Can’t fault it and I would definitely return.
