Description

Pretty Lodge set within the small orchard , with an open plan Kitchen/Dining/ Living area with patio doors leading on to a south facing covered veranda. 1 family bedroom ( 1 Double bed and I single ) . Bed Linen is provided. Perfect relaxing retreat located on a small family run site , only a short distance from all local amenities with a pub/ restaurant 5 minutes walk away

If Maple is booked we do have other lodges on the site you could try = pondfauld holidays .

Wi-Fi is available on site but please note the signal is limited.

Pets are welcome at a small charge ( please mention at the time of booking ) but must be on a lead on site at all times.

“Could pay attention to detail”

Whilst the setting was idyllic, the preparation of the lodge left a lot to be desired. The living area floor was dirty with a grit feeling underfoot, the dust, debris and dirt was unacceptable. We swept up all sorts including dog dry food. The hoover was inadequate and there was no mop. That said the rest of the lodge was clean and what you would expect from a rented accommodation. The shower was not good and water pressure was non existent. The cafeteria in the kitchen had a hole on the bottom that we discovered while trying to make coffee!!! We cut our stay short as we were disappointed, I would add that we are not the complaining types and would normally power through any issues and get on with it. We discreetly emailed the owners to let them know our experience rather than do it overtly, we didn’t even receive a reply. This might tell the story that attention to detail is not a priority for them any longer.

“Relaxing stay”

We booked a long weekend and it was a very relaxing ,laid back stay. The lodge and surroundings are beautiful and close to the small main town. The owners were very welcoming and there if you needed anything. The fact this is a dog friendly stay made it all the better , the dogs have to be on a leash at all times on the premises as there is chicken roaming around but they had the stake with 5m extension to clip our dog onto for us to use. There is horses in the neighbouring field which was nice to see also. The owners supplied lots of information on local takeaways and restaurants if you required them, but perfectly good kitchen in lodge if you want to just stay in and cook with all you need supplied. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Had lovely stay . My Wife had her 50th birthday getaway. The owners were very kind , friendly and helpful . Was very peaceful and quiet, just the ticket . Would recommend for a relaxing break .

How do damage deposits work?
