“Doesn't get any better” All the other reviews you read about Kores Boutique House are accurate. This place is one of a kind and the place to stay in Chania. We stayed in aspasia for 9 days and it felt like home. 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, great kitchen and eating area, and outdoor spaces that you will lounge in well after the sun has set. The location is ideal on the west side of the Old City. Steps from the harbor and a couple of the best restaurants. Don't miss Tamam! Giannis was extremely friendly and helpful, picking us up down the road where our cab dropped us off. He explained the house and how to use everything and even presented us with a fruit basket and a bottle of wine as a welcoming gift! Not only will I stay here again, but Kores Boutique House might be half the reason I return to Crete (The island itself isn't bad either!)

“Memorable” I, my husband and sister spent a gorgeous week at Fenaretti's house this May. The house is charming and in the typical style of the region at a far remove from the generic tourist villas clustered together in communties near the beach. It is picturesquely situated in a small unspoilt village. While very close to the main square, it yet remains very private perched as it is on an elevation that commands a lovely view of hills, valley and olive groves with a sliver of sea visible at a distance. The house is in fact built at three levels into the slope of the hill itself, and with small patios at all three levels, the architecture is truly charming. The only negative here could be that it might not be convenient for elderly or disabled people to negotiate the steps up and down into the bedrooms very easily or frequently. The patios edged with rose bushes, bougainvillea and a prolifically fruiting lemon true are beautiful sit-outs especially in the evenings under the stars in a vast night sky and we have eaten memorable meals there at all times of the day. Local people, whether neighbours (a delightful lady came over one morning with a bag of apricots from her tree) or the grocery store owner were exceedingly friendly and helpful. Stores are well stocked with provisions despite the smallness of the village. And the gorgeous towns of Chania and Rethymno are within easy driving distance. The hosts who came to meet us at the airport were exceedingly helpful and since we did not have a car, arranged for us to contact a very knowledgeable guide who drove us around the island, and acquainted us many of Crete's less explored areas. On arrival we were greeted with a fresh oranges, wine and a welcome pack of breakfast provisions. All in all we carry many lovely and intimate memories. Thank you Fenaretti.
