“Wonderful and relaxing” Villa Kembali is perfect for a relaxing getaway away from the hubub of Kuta. Great staff and gorgeous gardens.

“Best accommodation of our entire trip” Myself and two friends travelled to Bali late in January, which was the first visit to Indonesia for all of us. Our first stop was Angel Villa and it was the best introduction to Bali we could possibly have asked for. Annie and Rod (as well as being fantastic hosts) are so knowledgeable not only of Balinese culture, but also of the local surrounds, and so for Bali novices like ourselves, we found ourselves saying "We'll ask Annie when we get back" whenever there was something we didn't fully understand, and without fail, they had the answers. Their recommendations were consistently spot on, not only for fantastic local places to eat and drink, but also for shopping destinations like for silver jewelery etc, and the best ways to get around - locally, as well as off to our next destination. We stayed in the Poolside room, which is the larger room of the two on offer, and is lovely and light, with fans and air-con to relieve the humid and hot temperatures. On days we weren't out exploring, the Villa was a fantastic place to relax - we spent a lot of time on the balai or relaxing by the pool, reading, playing cards and/or having a couple of bintangs. The gardens are exquisite and provide a brilliant oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the streets. Given it's a homestay there is a fully equipped kitchen, and while we used it for snacks only, if you were interested in cooking a 'proper' meal you'd find everything you need, and the local supermarket is a 5 min walk away. The location in Mas is great - out of the crazy-ness of Ubud which is a huge plus, but still easy enough to get in to Ubud if and when you want to. Local market is spitting distance away for all things fresh (and is a must visit), as are cheap warungs for delicious local style food, as well as slightly more expensive restaurant style places if you so desire. Great bar called Dstar which has live music a few times a week is also easy walking distance away. Oh, and did I mention the pool?!?! As hosts Annie and Rod are very respectful - there when you need them, but at the same time it really felt like we had the place to ourselves most of the time. There is no curfew, and we all felt very comfortable to come and go as we pleased. And I know it' might seem like a small thing, but over our couple of weeks in both Bali and on the Gili Islands, Angel Villa had by far the absolute best water pressure of all our accommodation choices! Loved staying here, would return without hesitation.

“Very nice and relaxing vacation” Stayed 8 days at Villa Lovina and have to say the staff, housekeeping, gardner, and Yuni the cook couldn't have been better! We wanted a vacation that we could just sit and relax not have to leave villa and the staff allowed us to do this My husband said most relaxing vacation he has ever had! Villa was nice needs to be updated a little beds were great had some small issues like light bulbs out took until day before we left to get someone to fix but Yuni was on top of all issues we had making sure manager was aware of problem. Food was really good I must say Yuni is an excellent cook we had her cook 3 meals a day for us and can't complain at all! Chocho the gardner new I wanted the fish pond in front of villa to work so he took time and made it work so I could see what it looked like with the water falling over the wall it is so beautiful and very thoughtful of him to work on it I guess manager hasn't gotten fish food in awhile so of course I had to have some so Yuni went and got for me so I hope next guest enjoys feeding the fish as much as I did, I would recommend this villa to my friends cause the staff is so good!! Hope I can come again!

“Even better than the photos - just beautiful” Stayed a week at Geoffrey's lovely villa with family including our 5 month old daughter. Such a great property, beautiful gardens and wonderful place to stay in a good neighbourhood. Just a 15-20 min walk to Ubud with plenty of great walks and dining options locally. The property is even more beautiful than the photos suggest. Very comfortable lodgings and lush gardens. The staff were very friendly and took great care of us and the property while we were there. All of us felt very fortunate to stay in this fantastic villa - highly recommended!

“Great villa with nice view at sunset in Bali see” We spend 11 nights at villa Mente and enjoyed the luxury of the villa, the pool and it's staff. We made several daytrips but we also stayed some days relaxing at the pool. Komang does the household and coocking. She made our holiday and stay at villa Mente unforgettable. Many thanks! “Romantic and serene” We stayed at Villa Sujati for 2 nights in April with our 4 month old baby. It was wonderfully peaceful and serene after the bustle of Seminyak and I only wish we could have stayed on for longer. The walk down the path through the paddy fields was lovely and not too much trouble even with our baby in a carrier and the surrounding noise of crickets, roosters, dogs etc were all distant and pleasantly added to the atmosphere. Whilst the villa is a little remote from the town centre there were plenty of great cafes and warungs within walking distance so we weren't left wanting. The 'staff' (and the owner, Ketut, in particular) were lovely, friendly and trips into town, a cot and even babysitting was organised at a moments notice. Downsides: the sheer curtains throughout do mean there's little chance of sleeping in as the bedrooms become flooded with light at dawn, but with a little baby there was none of that for us anyway. And despite being surrounded by rice paddies on all sides (think stagnant water) there were surprisingly very few mosquitoes - but they were present and they bit my defenseless little one. There weren't many of them but we had to create a makeshift mosquito net over his cot using one of the curtains to protect him. All in all, I'd very happily stay here again.

“A little piece of Paradise” Beautiful villa set in equally beautiful surroundings, the ideal place to just sit and watch the world go by. Spend six days here split between just sitting around chilling out and being a bit more adventurous seeing the local attractions. Made the housekeeper was a wonderful cook and person who it seemed nothing was too much for. Gede was also always on hand to offer suggestions on possible excursions and organise them for you with his drivers Kadek and Putou who were also excellent. Then on top of that there was the gardener and night time security guard just to make sure everything was perfect. What more could you want?

“Great place!” We had a great time. We stayed for 1 week and had a relaxing break. The villa had a great deal of space. We liked sitting at the outside table overlooking the pool and garden for breakfast and lounging on the sofas for a movie. Comfortable beds and the sofas encouraged naps on lazy afternoons.The grounds were beautifully kept & we loved the range of flora. The staff were excellent. Yanni took great care of us.

“Our stay at the Villa Palm Kuning was ideal.” The villa was lovely and provided all of the facilities that we could possibly want. The building itself was spotless and well maintained. We cannot say enough about the young man Wayan who cooked and cleaned for us. Even on the final day when we were leaving early he came to see us off to make sure that everything was OK and waited with us until our van arrived. We woulrd also like to thank Steve Castley who made the arrangements for us. This is the fourth time we have rented a villa through him and we have never been disappointed.

“Breathtaking” Fully enjoyed our stay at Villa Bossi Banjar. We loved the Villa & the whole setting. The rooms are really nice and comfortable and the beds are great. The staff was lovely and they took really good care of us. Each night the ladies would cook fresh in really good quality. The location is a bit remote and hence very quiet and Laid back(which was what we were looking for) but in 15 car or motor bike ride you can easily access Lovina with restaurants and bars.

“Wonderful experience” We had a wonderful week here, Detu (our butler) looked after every need for us, meals that we had here were superb. Travelling around Bali ourselves meant that location was not a problem. The villa had every thing we needed to enjoy our stay here and we hope to return here soon.
