“Great stay at ash Pot Barn” I stayed at ash Pot Barn with 6 other ladies. We had a great time. We couldnt fault our stay in anyway. We would definatley return, especially in Summer as it has a great BBQ area overlooking the Fells, But was cosy in the winter when we went. We walked to the Fat Lamb pub which took about 1 hour 10 mins. Secluded location but perfect for relaxing and staying in, great kitchen/living area. Bedrooms spacious and everywhere very clean.

“Fantastic - perfect for a cosy weekend” I absolutely loved this place! Set in the middle of no where, perfectly furnished, lovely cottage, a local town about 10 minute drive away which has everything you can need. The only down side was lack of mobile signal but if you want the perfect get away that's no problem! I will definetely be returning and recommending to friends as it's perfect!

“Arklethwaite” Very cosy cottage very well equipted. Lovely walks nearby. Langthwaite is a very pretty little village with small friendly pub. Parking just a little bit away from the cottage. Only drawback is it has no garden to sit out in.

“Recreation, pure nature and millions of sheeps.” A nice and cosy cottage. Welcome-eggs. The cottage is small but enough for 2 adults. It is not easy to find if you are not from Great Britain. We missed the small road two times. But when we reached the "goal" it was, for us, typical English, nice and kind. We had a wonderful week with good weather and not so good weather. And I had never seen so much sheeps in my live.

“Country Escape” The last mile or two may be long but this wonderful house is worth it. A superb character farmhouse in a wonderful setting. A cosy, secret retreat. Make sure you explore the grounds down to the river. The games room was a bonus. Highly recommended.

“A fantastic cottage in a great location” The cottage is warm, spacious and well-presented. It has everything you could possibly need for a great holiday - stunning views, lots of wildlife, a well-equipped kitchen, a comfy bed and one of the best collections of Dvds and books we have come across. What's more, the location is second to none - on one hand you have the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, on the other there is the stunning Lake District. We also found a number of lovely local walks in and around Kirkby Stephen. In short, a walker's paradise! We will be back soon.

“Stunningly secluded, brilliant cottage” Where do I start? This was my second visit in six months and it felt like "coming home". Mrs. Scott (the owner) and her daughter keep their well-appointed cottage in excellent condition there's even a small collection of dvd's and board games should the weather turn nasty; I was there when the a1 was flooded for three days. Their welcome was as warm and friendly as before (the first time I was there I was even able to borrow a hairdryer as I'd forgotten mine!). The cottage is exactly as it's described, secluded. I went there to write in peace and found precisely that. The landlord and landlady at the local pub are great and the food is excellent - try the cheese platter - although it's a tad more than a five minute walk from Shepherd's Cottage. If you're into walking then this is the place to be; the sorrounding countryside is magnificent. What didn't I like? Having to leave.

“Fantastic!” This cottage is just fabulous! super smart, spacey and so peacefull even thoiugh its close to the main roads...i satyed with my husband and 2yr old, it was very clean and safe for my child which meant we could chill out wile he explored the place, high chair, cot and 2 baby gates provided...everything you need for a 'home from home' stay...im hoping to go back very soon...just wonderfull!
