“Adventure with romance in Italy” The detailed description of this fabulous apartment within the walled city of Lucca is (as they say in Britain) 'spot on.' There were no surprises. The attention to detail throughout the apartment makes you feel at home immediately. We loved the antiques and original artwork that you will find in every room. We felt that we were staying in an authentic Italian home. The kitchen is fully equipped and the cabinets bright yellow color makes it feel sunny and warm inside even on a rainy day. Just as described, when you walk out the door onto the sidewalk, immediately to your left is a wonderful cafe. Lucca is an exceptionally beautiful city with great shopping and delectable food - for purchase to be cooked at home or to be eaten in one of its' many restaurants. Of course, the wine is superb - again, for celebrating at home, in this gorgeous apartment, or out on the town. The night life in Lucca is exciting and filled with possibilities. The fact that you know that your apartment is within easy walking distance to whatever you choose to do allows for evenings out without the worry of transportation. You can save money on your Italian adventure by not having to rent a car at all. Everything that you need is right in Lucca. If you do want to go somewhere else you can access the 'user friendly' public transportation. We are very active people and we loved walking/running every day around the 3 mile path for walkers, runners and cyclists that is located right along the wall that surrounds the city. There are many entrances up to the wall for easy use by visitors and locals alike. We searched many other options for our stay in Lucca. The value of this very romantic apartment was not met anywhere else that we looked. We absolutely loved our stay. Staying in this apartment had everything thing to do with the overall enjoyment of our vacation. We would stay in this apartment again in a heartbeat. We will highly recommend it to all of our friends and family.

“" Home Sweet Home. . . "” I am pleased to provide a brief review on Borgo Pinti arnaldo rental property (the larger rental unit, Pinti 2) and it's thoughtful owner, Claudia. The entire process from start to finish was very pleasant and Claudia was very responsive and accommodating. (We had an early arrival and early departure from Florence). Claudia followed-up and followed-through during the entire process. Unfortunately, Claudia had a death in the family during the planning process which she communicated to me prior to our arrival; however, she still took the time to personally welcome me and my travel companions via cell phone. (very thoughtful and exemplifies Claudia's 'personal touch'). I reluctantly call this a 'rental unit' because the atmosphere is truly that of "Home Sweet Home." It's as if this is Claudia's only residence which she is overjoyed to share. The following items were very beneficial: 1.5 baths, Wifi, cell phone for making reservations or calling a taxi, washing machine, large eat-in-kitchen, screened windows/skylight. The property is located in a very quiet, pedestrian-friendly area which is walking distance to the Duomo and the Ponte Vecchio Bridge. The train station does require a cab ride. The lodging was very clean which was a huge plus for my sister and I with are sensitivity to allergens. Linens and towels were also good quality. A nice personal touch was fresh fruits in the kitchen, bottled water in the refrigerator and olive oil from Claudia's own farm! There is a nice binder with information on what to do, where to go and where to eat. Based on some of the suggestions, we decided to eat at the restaurant across the street and the owner/staff were very hospitable and the food was very good. We were not disappointed. Clearly, Claudia has the gift of hospitality and she takes great pride in her guests enjoying their accommodations and their stay in beautiful Florence. Mission accomplished! “Best Place I’ve Stayed in Florence” I’ve been coming to Italy for several decades now; sometimes for business, a lot for pleasure. This trip was extended due to teaching responsibilities in Florence. I was here over 5 weeks, so I needed a place close enough to work, but not too close - away from the tourists, but close enough if I wanted to go. The Oltrarno district is ideal for this. It has all the things you might want in Florence proper - the sights, restaurants, shops and artisians, but it’s more authentic. You’re actually rubbing elbows with the rest of the denizens of Florence. It’s kind of a working class neighborhood. About the apartment - it was great! Roomy, as authentic Florentine as you will find - terrazzo brick everywhere, a real old carved stone sink, but it had all the appliances you’d want, plus the fastest wifi I’ve had on any of my trips here. It’s an old, thick building, so you rarely hear your neighbors. It is safe and secure and near the shops, stores, banks and markets you need for day-to-day living. The owners bent over backwards to ensure my stay was what I expected. When I asked for a coffee pot, no questions asked. The washing machine, stove, microwave, fridge, et al is all top-notch stuff. One more thing: A lot of the time, you’ll see pictures on these sites and they’ll look ok, and then you’re disappointed when you actually get there. On the other hand, a lot of these sites post less-than-stellar pics and you later found out that the place you passed over was really great. Well, the owners here nailed it - the pics are plentiful, truthful and authentic - it was exactly what I had expected when I got here. Like I said - the best place I’ve stayed in Firenze…ever.

“Stunning decor” Recently stayed here with family/friends. 5 of us in total. The palazzo was superbly located near Santo Spirito square which is right across the river, a 10 minute walk to the centre of sights. Apartment was steps away from the restaurants / cafes etc. in the square. There is also a small daily market in the square. We enjoyed the area immensely. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the frescoed walls and décor was very ornate and classically Florentine. Apartment was a little dark but we made sure we had the windows open and lights on. Cozy living room and kitchen. Large bathroom and bedrooms. Would recommend staying here.

“Really excellent” We stayed one week in this very nice apartment and enjoyed it really. The kitchen was fully equipped with a washing machine, coffee makers, microwave fridge I enjoyed cooking and living independently. So reasonably priced and quiet at night we slept soundly. Comfortable bed made our stay so enjoyable. The location is perfect for visiting all the sights in Florence. We will definitely stay there again in our next trip to Florence!

“Beautiful apartment for ocean and hiking enjoyment” My friend and I stayed at IL patio for 5 nights; it was a fantastic stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well furnished. The breeze from the sea at night kept us cool with the windows open. The apt. was located up some stairs, but it was a gorgeous view. Piera was a gracious hostess and gave us good advice about hiking and dining. This location also has close access to the best swimming in Cinque Terre!
