“Some Fantastic Views, Welcoming Hosts and a Great Place for our” Driving up through the valley from the local town of Castiglion, you realize how lucky the locals are to live in a place as rich in natural beauty as here. We spent two wonderful weeks here enjoying our lovely cottage which was perfect for the 4 of us. Very rustic and a real taste of Tuscany. The large pool is a quiet haven, surrounded by well maintained grass and perfect to sit, swim, relax and admire the views - and sunsets. Our hosts, Massimo and Eva were very helpful and welcoming. It was they and Massimo's mother who restored the village and, kept all the little details alive. Certainly, nothing was too much trouble although it is the other end of the valley, it was easy enough to go off on day trips. We used the rail station in Castiglion for a trip to Florence and arezzo, but the rest of the time we enjoyed some of the country drives suggested by Eva - including a visit to avignonesi winery over in montepulcano . A good family restaurant in the valley along with others in the town. We (I) even found a small (9 hole) golf course - about 40 minutes from here a long way to come, but we would love to come back one day.

“A fabulous exprience staying on the main street of Cortona” We stayed a total of 4 months in Casa Giulia and found it to be the perfect location.The large(about40 sq metres) was perfect. The view of the Val De Chiana are spectacular. Sun rise,sun set and the bells of Cortona are things we will never forget. The apartment is very Tuscan and well equiped. We had a reception for 30 people and food was all cooked on site. If stairs are a concern this is not for you,about 43 steps to apartment. The beds were very comfortable and bathrooms worked well for us. Being central was perfect for morning coffee or any other area of Cortona.It was special to be able to walk everywhere and be recognized by the local citizens and merchants. Parking was also handy,a short walk to Piazza Garibaldi then down the escalators to the public parking lot.And last but not least the Terretrusche office is two floors below the apartment. You pass it every time you arrive at or exit the apartment. I must say the service that terretrusche gives is friendly,attentive and prompt. Vittorio runs a well oiled operation. We are returning for six weeks during October and November of 2014
