“Great house” Review: Wonderful view from this house which overlooks the city and has lots of charming flower filled outdoor living spaces and elegant interior rooms. Owner and staff were very helpful .We walked down to town each day and up as well, which was very good exercise but cabs are cheap and plentiful and we took those when we bought groceries or at night. This house could easily take a family as there is a separate attached bedroom and 2 other large bedrooms.

“Oasis in the city!” The anthony Quinn studio was perfect! Clean comfortable and quiet. Lynn was incredibly helpful when I emailed and she was very understanding about my need for some peace and quiet. (I moved from another location in SMa - that was a cacophony!) The view from the roof top deck was nice and the studio, itself, has a very light airy feel. There is some beautiful tile work in the bathrooms and around the fireplace.

“Stay in friendly comfort and safety.” I have actually stayed at Villa Golondrina several times: twice with my husband and once with a great good friend and traveling companion. In each case we were in the apartment as a base for studying at a nearby Spanish language school to which we could walk. But we also learned the local bus service, and thereby with Jim's recommendations, found many wonderful restaurants all over Cuernavaca. Sometimes we shopped at local markets and prepared our own dinners in the fully stocked apartment kitchen. Taxis are also available with a phone call and are very inexpensive. On each visit we hired a taxi to take us to the nearby market village of Tepoztlan where there is also an ancient pyramid temple to which one can climb to experience fantastic views and the touted positive psychic energies. The apartments are furnished with Mexican style furniture and everything one would want for a home away from home. Jim's houseboy, Pancho, keeps the places spic and span and goes out of his way to accommodate every wish of his guests.

“A Great Vacation” I rented this house for a month and enjoyed every day of our stay. The house is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen has all the amenities and the three bedrooms are large and very comfortable. You are only a few blocks (easy walking distance) from Mega, a super store that has all you could wish to purchase. If you don't want to walk anywhere, there are plenty of very affordable taxis available. The house is only 1 block from a bus stop. We took the bus to the Jardin (center of town) evey day for 5 pesos, about 48 cents in us dollars. There are also several banks and restaurants across from Mega. This is a beautiful home, what you see in the pictures in exactly what you get. There is also a lovely lady who comes weekly to clean the house and do dishes and laundry. You are asked to give a weekly tip of $50 pesos which is less than $5 american dollars - well worth the price. This is a home I would gladly recommend to anyone who wished to stay in San Miguel de allende.

“Gorgeous and affordable Villas!!” Everything about our stay at Las Villas de Bellavista was perfect! It was very simple to make our reservation and make our deposit. The owner provided lots of info about the area even before we arrived. When we got there, we were greeted by a gorgeous oasis and a thriving, beautiful town. The villa was absolutely charming. Clean and spacious. The area was quiet, perfect for a relaxing vacation. The pool was clean and huge. Perfect for lap swimming. The grounds were immaculate and the gardens were exquisite. The owner was very helpful with directions and suggestions of places to visit in the area. The villas are within 2 blocks of a major road where you can easy catch a cab or a bus. There is a large grocery store within walking distance, and the kitchen in the villa was stocked with all the needed tools to make your own food. We will definitely visit these villas again, I could have stayed there forever!!!

“San Fransisco rental” We found this weekly rental to be clean, centrally located and reasonably priced. We used it mostly for sleeping and storage as we explored this bustling, lively town most of the time. It was very central to the many sites and activities offered in the town. For what we needed it was perfect. The photos are accurate. A bonus was hot water without a long wait for it. We enjoyed the view of the lit church steeple from the small kitchen window in the evening.

“Relaxing, near town, comfortable, and taken care of...” Once at the Hda Clemencito, we where met by the caretakers, shown the property, as the bags where taken to our rooms, the home was clean and very comfortable, the staff took care of us like family. The property is large and clean, suited for long walks, tennis, lap pool and jacuzzi. The location was very secure, that insured our privacy. The Chappel was perfect for a marriage ceremony early afternoon on a Sunday. The catering by the staff was wonderful, they used what we bought at the market, and when needed, the staff arranged for the shopping and cooking of desired meals. Breakfast was always on time and delicious, having traditional Mexican dishes, to hot cakes. Several times the staff, prepared dishes for diner, and for a wedding ceremony, the food was great and service was excellent. “La Quinta amada is delightful. One of the very best.” Finding La Quinta amada on the web was great good luck. It was everything the website described and really even better. Staying there was a highlight of a great trip to Mexico City, Teotihuacan, and Tlaxcala. I stayed in first class hotels in Mexico City and Teotihuacan but most enjoyed La Quinta amada. It is a perfect location to make day trips throughout the area to major archeological, historic, and natural sites. I went also to climb La Malinche and Cuatlapanga and the views of the mountains from La Quinta amada were inspiring. Tlaxcala itself is very interesting and La Quinta amada is a good location to walk to Tlaxcala and there is easy access to all forms of public transportation. It is set off the main road and so more peaceful. The building and garden are beautiful and the public spaces are very fine for relaxing. There are many ammenities and a good library. The individual rooms are light and airy and beautifully decorated. Everything is immaculately clean. Much thought has gone into every practical and aesthetic detail with consideration of providing a guest with comfort and an experience of the cultural treasures of Mexico. The hosts have a personal ties to Tlaxcala and a great knowledge of the area. To the degree a guest wishes, they are very pleased to provide detailed information about the area and help in navigating all practical matters. I had planned a rather rigorous trip and returning each evening to La Quinta amada was a pleasure. My experience of Tlaxcala was greatly enriched by my host's generosity and consideration. I hope to visit again. I have stayed in a variety of lodgings in the U.S., Mexico, South america, and Europe. La Quinta amada is one of my favorites.
