“The Best Vacation stay in 15 years” upon arrival I was picked up at the airport, Donald was prompt and courteous. the apt was clean and comfortable, but the service I received from Donald was above and beyond. Donald and his wife are lovely people. every time I return to RD I will stay with Donald. the location is within walking distance to the sea. everything I needed was close by, Donald even took me to get food the first night! I loved the location. 10 minute walk to the aquarium. there is a bodega on the corner that has almost everything you need. there is also laundry facilities on the property. I do not speak Spanish , so he translated for me. Wifi was always on, even when the power was out. there was power in my room. I cooked many meals in the room. well furnished kitchen. above all else I still enjoyed my privacy. I will recommend this property to any one who wants a local experience. also the cost was affordable. I got to see a lot of things that I would not have been able to see staying in other places. Thank you Donald for a great 8 1day stay. see you soon. next time it will be a honeymoon. I forgot to mention there is constant hot water.

“Perfection on Rum Point” This was our second trip to The Retreat. This time, we were without kids, so we only needed a one-bedroom and Rum & Kai is the perfect choice. The unit is very spacious, and immaculately clean. It's perfect for two or a small family. We had everything we needed and then some. We especially enjoyed the massive movie hard drive! The reservation process was seamless as was communication. The Retreat complex is the island's best kept secret--perfect location, great beach, quiet, wonderful snorkeling, great amenities--the list goes on and on. We will definitely return! Thank you for a great stay.

“Perfect!” My husband and I stayed here in April 2015 with our 10yr. old daughter. The Condo was perfect. Very tastefully decorated, and very clean. The owner took a lot of thinking into everyone's needs that would be staying here. Both bathrooms were stocked with multiple toiletries, all kitchen appliances necessary, including coolers for the beach. Beach chairs, beach towels, games, baby equipment and the list goes on. The location was absolutely perfect. We rented a car so did a lot of exploring but if you do not rent a car, you will not miss it. Everything you need is within walking distance or a very short taxi ride for groceries. I was a little worried about the condo being so close to the airport, although very convenient, I thought it would be somewhat of a disturbance with the airplanes flying over. We never even noticed the airplanes! That was not an issue. We had soooo much wonderful food in Puerto Rico but I must say, One of my very favorite things was walking down the beach, to the left and getting fish taco's. It is about 1 block down from condo if you are facing the ocean. We like fine dining and have tried fish tacos from all over, even the ones from Cabo do not compare with these. We were skeptical at first, but you will not regret or "get sick" if you try! The leasing agent and owner both were very friendly and very timely will all responses. Comparing this condo to a hotel, you can not beat the price. We normally stay in luxury hotels but because our daughter was with us, we did not spend the extra money. We made an excellent choice and would absolutely stay here again.

“Top of the line” We, a family of two adults and two teenagers, celebrated both Christmas and New Year in a wonderful way during our stay here and can certainly do it again. Beginning the days with breakfast on the veranda, with the magnificent view over the Caribbean Sea, and the hostess oceanfront view yoga classes, prepared us for some perfect vacation days. The short walking distance (five minutes) to the nearest beach, where we could walk on the beach along the coast, for instance to Rincon Beach resort, was then appropriate. There is also a fast access by car to beaches where one can snorkel and surf as well as use boogie boards and paddle boards. Other activities nearby are tennis and kayaking. The guesthouse is situated in a quiet neighborhood. Although, shops and restaurants are nearby. The guesthouse is full-equipped for four persons and the service and hospitality by the hosts are excellent.

“You won't want to leave!” Its very rare to book a vacation rental and it actually exceeds your expectations... That's the case when i booked the La Rochelle apartment... I walked in and immediately said "Wow, Nice" - I was so pleased. I stayed in unit#3 - A very large 1 bedroom apartment, full kitchen, large living/dining area, large air conditioned bedroom with walk in closet... Clean, comfortable and felt like home. I cannot give this review without mentioning what a beautiful, warm and helpful person Faith Downie is... She was always accessible. If you call or text she answers right away or calls back very soon thereafter. She's always ready to assist your needs and give great suggestions. I felt like i was staying at my family's property, not just at an apartment/vacation rental. Ms Downie... a million thanks to you for a pleasant stay. I've told everyone i know about you and your vacation rentals. I will definitely be staying here on my next visit home. WONDERFUL! - Avery

“Heaven” There just aren't enough adjectives to do this review justice. This is a once in a lifetime lovely, relaxing, fun and pleasant place to vacation. Peter and the staff took care of every request starting from the moment of booking this vacation. We were able to provide information about our likes/dislikes as it pertains to comfort, food, drink, privacy or not, activities we like to do, etc before we arrived. Peter also helped us plan our time on both ends of the trip on the island so we could enjoy the Belize mainland. I would recommend doing the same and not missing any moments you have to spend on the island. Take an excursions on the mainland before and/or after your booking dates for the island. Peter and the staff accommodated every request we had even if it meant going to the mainland to bring something in to meet the request. The other reviews about The Royal Belize are exactly what we experienced too. The up-to-date technology is wonderful. You use connected ipads/itouches for music, communication to the staff and entertainment in every home and the main Palapa. We were even able to connect our ipads to the sound system and we played (with the other couple we came with) name that song/artist. It was great fun. You will not be let down when you travel to this destination spot I like to call Heaven. Thank you to Peter and staff for bringing a part of Heaven into our lives.

“First trip to Jamaica!” We all had a wonderful time on our vacation. Your home is absolutely wonderful and I could sit on that veranda all day and look out at the sea. The staff was excellent especially Paulette and Miss anne! We figured we would try that first dinner and a breakfast and see how it went, but once we ate the food they cooked we were hooked. We did eat out a few times, but Miss anne and Paulette's cooking was the best we ate! Do not ever lose those two women they are truly a joy! Benjie was a great driver and very helpful, Danny did a good job getting rid of the flotsam that come on shore every morning so we had a clean sand beach and let us watch him feed the sea turtles, Barry and Charma did a good job keeping us safe along with Sam and abby. We missed our dogs and having Sam and abby around was good comfort for my husband and I especially. We did have Benjie take us way down 7 mile beach one day and we walked back from there stopping at a few places to have a drink and eat. While we walked we did look for some of the other places we had looked at to rent. We found most of them and while they looked nice, being on 7 mile beach compared to the privacy of Llantrissant, there was no comparison and we were very happy we made the decision to stay at Llantrissant. It's hard especially if you have never been to the area to know what will be the best option and everyone makes their places sound and look great. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it isn't all that you dreamed it would be. We all had high hopes for Llantrissant and we were not disappointed. We would recommend your home to anyone looking to take a trip to Jamaica and have already talked it up. Hoping to return again. Wish we were there now since the winter weather is definitely coming to Wisconsin now!

“Beyond Expectations” I would not stay anywhere else on the island. The house itself is in immaculate condition with huge sliding glass doors in every room allowing for amazing views of the Caribbean from every room. I loved waking up to the breathtaking sunrise every morning and the house's beautiful décor encourages complete relaxation. Whether watching TV, playing Xbox/Playstation or listening to music via the surround sound system, it felt like our every whim was met. The kitchen is stocked with gourmet appliances and cookware which made my ability to create fantastic meals for us easy and fun. When we tired of laying by the pool, the beach was less than a mile away and the Red Hook night life was right down the street. This villa is truly one of the premier locations on the island. I cannot wait for the next trip back

“Incredible view & fantastic staff” My family and I (7 adults & 1 child) just returned from Nutmeg Villa and we had a wonderful time!! Upon entering the Villa, there is a breathtaking view of the pool, the gardens and the sea which can't be beat. The rooms were spacious and suited our group well, especially the downstairs bedroom with the pool table and the games. We all agreed that the best aspects of our vacation were having a private pool and the staff at Nutmeg. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying ourselves to the fullest and we did! On behalf of my family we would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Chef Morgan, Carlington, Ms. Ann, Ms. Cathy, Garrett, Wayne, Dave and Donovan (the security guard) for making our vacation unforgettable.
