“An Excellent Place To Stay” I don't normally give the houses I've rented the "highest" rating, nor do I normally write reviews in the first place, buy I feel compelled to do so for Arenal Springs Villas. For the simple reason that, in the past when I've rented houses on-line, pictures posted have usually overstated how nice the homes and surrounding area actually was. Not they were bad, just that the their pictures left me with high expectations. But Arenal Springs was/is different. In my opinion, the pictures just can't quite capture how nice the houses/villas, the grounds, and the surrounding area, actually are. And that's why we keep going back.

“A True Vacation” You definitely know you are on vacation when you stay at Villas Casa Loma. The atmosphere is very relaxing, quiet, and has great views of the Pacific Ocean. The grounds are well maintained, actually manicured, and the large swimming pool is the cleanest I've ever seen. There is actually another pool that I never used. The architecture is impressive with a lot of attention to detail. The owners live on site and are available anytime and they are very helpful including suggestions and directions for local restaurants, banks, shops, etc. This just might be the best place to stay in Playa Flamingo.

“Our second visit, more to come.” This was our Second visit with Tom and Igor at Villas Casa Loma. Enjoyed breathtaking ocean views of Playa Flamingo from our lanai. Great accommodations with kitchen for making breakfast and coffee to watch the sun rise on the boats in the harbor. The sparkling pool was quiet and refreshing. We even watched the breathtaking sunsets while lazing in the pool. We so enjoyed the sounds of the jungle with numerous birds and a few howler monkeys. It is a short drive to several beaches and many excellent restaurants. Can't say enough of how helpful Tom and Igor were with tips of activities, restaurants and hidden beaches in the area. This year we had three in our group and last year we had eight. Great spaces for large and small groups. We just love our time there. You can be busy every day in town or in the jungle or just relax in this little piece of paradise. We will be back!

“Spectacular!” Playa Flamingo is such a great destination and Villas Casa Loma in particular is the Best place to stay in the region. Within minutes you can chose to be on the beach, in a charming beach villiage, zip lining, surfing, hiking, horseback riding, or enjoying an aTV tour. The dining options in this area is incredible and the choices are many and varied and within minutes of VCL. You can reserve an entire villa, or just a suite of rooms, or bring all of your family and friends and take over the whole place like we did for Spring Break last year. I am a frequent visitor to Costa Rica and I highly recommend Villas Casa Loma to anyone planning a trip to the Guanacaste Region. Tom and Igor are incredibly dedicated to each and every guest and the lovely grounds and accomadations are proof of their love of Costa Rica and their "Paradise Retreat". “Beautiful home in lovely setting.” This home had all the amenities to make our family comfortable. We loved sitting on the patio in the morning watching hummingbirds and listening to howler monkeys in the distance. The extensive DVD collection was a hit with our kids during some of our down time. The location near the town of Nuevo arenal was nice for short trips to the grocery store and many restaurants.

“I'd stay her over and over again” Condo Tortuga is the perfect location for me. It's situated away from the main strip of Playa Guiones, towards the Gilded Iguana end of town. This means you are an easy walk from either part and you can get away from it all at the condo. Also, it's just 5 minutes to the beach, so perfect for my early morning and sunset surf sessions! The kitchen has everything you need and I found the bed and sofas very comfortable. There are nice little touches all over the place and Gary and Karen have put a lot of effort into making your stay a good one. You have to read their folder on things to do and see. It's the Nosara bible! There is a nice pool and that is looked after well. The condos, pool and grounds is surrounded by a wall and there is someone in the gate house 24/7. This gives that extra feeling of security. I've stayed in a couple of other condos here too. Each time, I've met and socialised with other people staying here too, so it's always been fun. My tip? Buy some meat and cold beers and fire up the grill :)

“Our stay at the lake arenal” We stayed with 2 families 54 kids between 5 and 7) in the Lake arenal cabins. We really enjoyed our stay in this fabulous environment. Tucans flying in the garden during breakfast, monkeys on top of the cabin, the noice of the volcano. The cabins itself are well kept and practical, perfect breakfast, the host very helpful. Do not miss this place during your trip in Costa Rica!

“No one wanted to go home!!!” Wow, first trip to Costa Rica and our family didn't want to leave. Between the accommodations at a very reasonable rate and the adventures that Ronda (manager/owner?) set up, our family truly had a great time. The home was so family oriented. Plenty of rooms, great family room that we would all hang after a full day of beaching it. Guest house was the perfect place to put my in-laws - gave us the space we all needed :). I was debating to give this review, because I really want to keep this place as a secret gem for me and my friends, but my hubby told me I was uncool by doing that. So here I am, want to forget all your worries and be pampered at the same time and leave with some awesome memories, this is the place to stay. Don't forget to bring your camera and plenty of sun tan lotion!!
