“Splendid home in a glorious and unique Village!” The web site proposed a lovely location and property; the reality well met all of those advance expectations. The owners were most helpful for establishing the arrival processes and the local staff prepared the house very well for our arrival. The property was totally unique; medieval is correct; full of charm and character. The house was furnished exceptionally and we could not fault anything that was made available to us. The beds were super comfortable; the living room quiet and relaxing; the bathrooms were great and the kitchen totally well equipped. Outside, the shaded patio area, complete with the hammock, was really nice to use morning, noon and night and the pool area was the icing on the cake with it's splendid views over the Pontine Plains out to the sea. The Internet worked a treat too! Five star and elegant in every aspect! The village was beautiful; characterful and traditional. We were thrilled at the diverse choice of cafes and restaurants, as well as the peace and quiet of largely a carless society with splendid views from every direction. All of these were within a very easy walk from "Domus Doull". We loved returning from Rome's hustle and bustle to the peace and quiet of the village! Highly recommendable to anyone who wants to enjoy a comfortable "away from it all" stay in a truly unique property and location!

“Perfect romantic hideaway a short distance away from "La Dolce V” My wife and I spent seven nights at the Villa Romana in July 2009. This vacation home is one of the most beautiful and exclusive settings we ever stayed in. Wonderful interiors, tasteful and luxurious furnishings and unparalleled service with personal touch. The host Irina Marini was very gracious and attentive. She created a very relaxing experience in its unique, fairytale atmosphere that makes you feel like you never left home. Irina's attention to detail is unbelievable. We would love to return to Villa Romana and certainly recommend to anyone who appreciates true comfort and luxury.

“Lovely Italian villa” Our family of 2 kids (8 & 11) and 2 adults spent a lovely 5 days in Cala Sabina. The pool and the 2 friendly dogs were a hit, the villa is very well equipped with everything you need if you would like to cook for yourself and the views are beautiful. Nicola the owner is very helpful and even provided us with home made (still warm) tomato sauce, homemade olive oil , jam and limoncello to complement the stay. There is a good pizzeria down the road if you prefer eating out. We would definitely recommend this villa to others visiting the area . Be warned if you drive in and out of rome for a day trip you may need nerves of steel to negotiate the Roman streets especially at evening rush hour (getting to the villa from the airport and around the countryside was no problem)- taking the train is probably a better bet .
