Ravenstonedale house

“Great stay at ash Pot Barn” I stayed at ash Pot Barn with 6 other ladies. We had a great time. We couldnt fault our stay in anyway. We would definatley return, especially in Summer as it has a great BBQ area overlooking the Fells, But was cosy in the winter when we went. We walked to the Fat Lamb pub which took about 1 hour 10 mins. Secluded location but perfect for relaxing and staying in, great kitchen/living area. Bedrooms spacious and everywhere very clean.

“Away from it all” A lovely quiet little cottage with excellent amenities on a working farm in Upper Wharfedale. Quite remote and very peaceful, but close to some good local pubs and with wonderful scenery and walks right from the front door. The owners are very friendly and helpful without ever being obtrusive. We very much enjoyed our stay including the enforced extra day after we got snowed in! Suitable for all those who love the outdoors, perhaps less so for those craving access to modern entertainment - there is no mobile phone signal and the bright lights are many miles away!

“Truly lovely” I can't recommend this cottage enough. If you like remote and comfortable this is for you. Not only is the cottage ideal with very good facilities and furnishings but the owners are warm and freindly without being in any way intrusive. The setting is perfect with views that change with the weather and time of day. We all loved it.

“We love this house!” We had a fabulous time at Wensleydale House - from the warm hospitality of the owners(who were completely unphased by our arrival as a hen party - albeit a cultured one!),to the beautifully decorated rooms, abundance of character and charm, great location and attention to detail such as providing fresh flowers. The house is really a home from home - so well equipped and the rooms very comfortable. The large living/dining room is great for large groups relaxing together with ample sofa seating for everyone. Wensleydale House provides the perfect base for exploring the Dales, within very close distance from a number of beauty spots, recognised walks and attractions. Excellent value for money too. A stay here is thoroughly recommended. Thank you.

Bronte School House: spacious cottage steeped in history
Kirkby Lonsdale cottage
- 3 bedrooms
- 2 bathrooms
- sleeps 5
“comfortable and warm with a unique historic resonance for Bronte” 26/10/2012 a lovingly restored & obviously cherished property makes this cottage a striking & memorable place to stay. Comfortable and warm (cosy beds, deep bath, plentiful supply of logs) it allowed us to unwind and recharge. We received a warm welcome from Sandra when we arrived, who showed us where to find food at a late hour. There were lots of leaflets and books to help plan our stay, and the two keys were a nice touch - so many places expect a family of 4 or 5 to cope with just one. The Brontë connection is unique - don't forget to visit Tunstall Church (where the girls had to endure a service in the freezing cold) and climb the ladder next to the south door to peer into the room where the girls ate their inadequate meal. The Burns family
