“The best one yet” We arrived at the Bintang parking lot, met by 3 guys who are going to take our bags. Up a "rustic" stairs, down a path behind the grocery, then another path, then another..."what did we get into?" Last turn and you look across a rice field and find heaven. Beautiful grounds, great pool, almost total quiet, spotless, great breakfast...yet you're still maybe 15 minutes total walk in to "downtown" Ubud or 10 minutes up the stream bed and turn up into Penestanan. I'm doubtful that you can match this for privacy yet proximity to Ubud shopping and sightseeing. Landlord was incredibly responsive to emails. Driver/Guide most helpful. This was, just simply, one of those place that you kind of want to denigrate a bit so it will be available the next time for us, because we will return. The pictures understate the beauty and you can't hear the quiet in a photo. This is one to not overlook if you like privacy and still like to see what Ubud has to see and do.

“Peaceful Retreat” We stayed here inFebruary, we were looking for a place to escape and relax. This villa was perfect. The owner was prompt in replying to our emails and Ketut was so helpful during our stay. We hired a motorbike to go into Ubud but loved the cafes in the little village so much that we ended up spending most of our time eating there. There were some leaflets for local businesses in the villa which we found very helpful too. The only negatives would be that it is very hard to find in a taxi (definately recommend pickup by Ketut)and that it is not a very private villa (but this didn't bother us at all).

“Just the break we needed” Thank you so much Barbara, Henry and Pia, for a wonderful stay in your wee bungalow. At a stressful time in our lives, your bungalow, the surroundings of Ubud and Bali itself, provided a much needed respite. Your recommendations of the lovely driver "Blue" and the local eating spots were ideal. Loved the outdoor shower, and everything we needed was provided for. Wine glasses in the bungalow would be helpful but we did have access to them in the larger house, so not really a problem. very comfortable bed and great breakfasts each day. Hope we can return some day.

“Great villa” The owner was a delight to deal with,answered all my questions and was very helpful.The driver picked us up at the airport and drove us to Villa Novellina,it was not central but on a scooter we could reach the beach and cafés in under 10 minutes.The villa it self was lovely,a huge bedroom large bathroom with shower and a round bath tub( only downside not enough hot water to fill tub).the indoor lounge was large and air conditioned.The outside area was fantastic with a great pool and relaxing area.And the staff were fantastic,would recommend this villa to all my friends.Thank you for a great stay.

“We loved it!” Thank you for presenting such a nice home! We loved the upstairs balcony with the fantastic view. We travelled with 2 children (8 & 10yo) who enjoyed surfing on the beach nearly in front of the house. The surf was giant for the first 2 days and then perfect for beginners for the rest of the other 4 days we were there. The staff were fantastic, we went out to a few restaurants but preferred the food cooked at the villa, it was healthy and fresh. I can recommend this house to anyone looking for a quality accommodation in a quiet and private setting. We felt safe at all times and sad to leave...We will be back!

“Great place and location” Fantastic place in an awesome and beautiful location. Further enough away from the hustle and bustle for peace and quiet but still fairly close to bars, places to eat etc. The dogs were super friendly and made our stay very happy!! Gil was very friendly and helpful with local places to eat and things to do, however did not realise that he would be staying at the property as well when it was booked, though this was not too much of a problem as his company was pleasant. Staff were great as were the amenities. Would have liked to stay for another couple of nights!

“Amazing Villa!” We had a wonderful stay at Villa Filo's Paradise. It was in fact paradise! Claire the owner was very quick to respond to my many enquiries, she was very helpful & made the whole process easy. Everything was seemless, Made the driver was there at the airport to meet us. Kadek & Made greeted us with a refreshing drink & made us feel very welcome. They were there to help & have a chat, but also gave us lots of privacy. Ozy & Agus, cleaned the pool & provided security & peace of mind during the night. The Villa itself is very spacious, very comfortable, super clean & beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail. Breakfast was great. Kadek cooked a meal for us, it was delicious. The coffee machine was an extra bonus too. We have no hesitation to recommend Villa Filo's, you will not be disappointed. Thanks again, Trish & family, Perth
