“A perfect holiday home!” Goose Nest House is a perfect family holiday home - fantastically spacious, immaculate in every way, and extremely well equipped. This may sound cliched, but the photos (which admittedly look great) do not do the house justice. The first floor in particular works extremely well - primarily comprising a very large open plan kitchen / dining / living space with double-height ceiling in the living area - and a wall of glass doors to the balcony overlooking the lake. The house is also wonderfully private, with no other house overlooking it. My family of four (including kids aged 5 and 3) stayed at the house for a weekend in December, and we all loved the place. The Estate is beautiful, and the kids loved scootering around the grounds and swimming in the pool. It must be so amazing in the summer months - and I imagine we will be back to find out! The house and estate are also well located for things to see and do. The town of Cirencester is only 10 minutes away by car, and is worth a visit - really recommend the Corinium Museum. We also went for a trip to Bath (just under an hour's drive away) to visit the Roman Baths - which are really awe inspiring. There is certainly more than enough to do on the Estate and in the surrounding areas to take up a full holiday of a week or more. I also can't stress how helpful and considerate Madeleine and Paul are as owners / hosts. They were very helpful every step of the way and returned our security deposit promptly. Can't recommend Goose Nest House highly enough!
