“Incredible home” This was the perfect home for my husband, kids and grandkids. I can't begin to describe how incredible this home was. From the amazing outdoor kitchen, magnificent landscaping, the toasty warm huge pool, with seating enough for our supersized family of 20 with 4 grandbabies. This home was able to house us all comfortably. The inside of the house was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. The high count sheets were a dream to sleep on (cute pun intended). The air conditioning was set to the perfect temperature. Every day all of us lived in the pool and at night enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets over the bay. To say we loved this home is an understatement. We are still all talking about the amazing vacation. The owner was really really nice to deal with and made us feel welcomed.

“perfect” We love Oar Island. It is the perfect vacation place for families with children of different ages, or just a couple. There is hiking, sunning, relaxation, but mostly what we love about Oar Island is the isolation. It is an adventure as well, since the only way to get there is by the little motorboat. It is a getaway for certain kinds of people; but if you prefer the Marriott type of stay, this is not that kind, it is much more "out-doorsy".

“Quintessential Cape Cod beach house - yes, the one in your dream” I stayed at this adorable beach house in august of 2011, my first time to beautiful Cape Cod. I could not have imagined it more perfectly; this little cottage is nestled right in the sand, bare foot steps on the beach. Its the perfect size for a couples retreat or a small family. You will feel worlds away from reality in this cozy and comfortable cottage. We enjoyed a fire on the beach, a stroll into East Sandwich for breakfast, many hours lounging in the sun and playing in the sand-bottomed surf. I still dream of this house, and it will always hold a special place in my traveling memories, for it was far too perfect for words. Thank you Jay and Gretchen for sharing your slice of heaven!

“Great cottage! Clean, updated, cair, laundry, outside shower. Hi” This is a wonderful a very comfortable cottage. Great for a family of up to 5. Very modern, hardwood floors, central air, laundry, storage space for bikes, fishing equipment, etc. Quick walk to a very quiet beach. The low tides are awesome! Surrounding cottages are very nice. The town of East Sandwich is very quiet. Great restaurants, ice cream, antiques, etc.

“Beautiful ocean front cottage” Just a small walk to a private beach. You do not have to sit in hours of traffic to go over the bridge to enjoy being at the cape.

“Loved it!” We loved this house. It's right on the beach, it's private, and the sunsets are beautiful (and different each night). We loved being able to let our kids play on the beach while we watched them from the deck with our coffee. Not having to lug everything but the kitchen sink down to the beach was a huge bonus. If we needed to use the restroom, get a snack, or take a break from the sun, the house was right there. We would definitely stay here again.

“Private Farm House” This was a beautiful, simple farmhouse in the most beautiful setting. Very private. Lots of comfortable space. I loved the fact that it had no television. The groundskeeper was extremely friendly and helpful. Probably my favorite house and setting during the ten years I have been going to Martha's Vineyard. My only two complaints were (1) The mosquitoes on Chappy were thick and would eat us alive, at times. (2) When we wanted to go back and forth to Martha's Vineyard, we had the additional cost of the ferry...which added up quickly.

“A great house for the kids and the dog!!” We had a great time in this house and I would definitely stay there again! Plenty of room to play and relax outside and nice views of Crystal Lake and the harbor. The upper deck was great (although I wish they would cut down a few more trees so the view would be unobstructed) and the lower deck and patio were nice too.

“delightful” this was the second year in a row that we rented the house. they installed new washer and dryer. it is kept up very nicely. new grill outdoors too. the extra shower outside the house is very helpful. having our own private beach makes all the difference. we came with two teenagers, and other four grand kids. they love to play outdoors and swim constantly. yes, there is seaweed on the beach and shells, but once you go beyond the first two feet, it is fantastic. love the large dining area where we all play board games in the evening. looking forward to next August :)
