“One of life's little treasures....” We had a fabulous time. We filled every bedroom !! My mother and father, twin sisters, auntie and uncle, friend of the family and my husband, son and myself stayed for 2 nights !! what an incredible place !! the house is a hidden treasure but so big !! plenty of room to cook, eat, play etc... We stayed for my fathers 60th birthday as a surprise and what a surprise it was for him !! Plenty of games, cupboards full of books, board games, DVDs. kitchen cupboards full of things you always forget (salt, pepper, olive oil, etc), more than enough utensils, everything in working order, view is beautiful and scenic, especially the sheep and lambs in the field from the window of the master bedroom, rooms beautifully decorated. Keswick is just a short drive. Stephen (the owner) could not have more accommodating with our booking, instructions, everything was just perfect !! Thank you Stephen

“Home from home” A good base for walking in the lakes. Slightly too far from pub to walk due to time of year (October) but fabulous pub which we visited regularly. Barn conversion immaculate and good for two dogs and two families including teens but only downside was not enough room to dry out wet clothing (wettest trip to Lakes so far!). Would definitely recommend as had great welcome pack to get us started which included home made cake!! Also spotted red squirrels in the garden.

“Fantastic Group MTB Honeymoon!” We stayed at White Gables in end of april 2013 as part of a group of 12 Mountain Bikers. We were actually all on the honeymoon of two of the riders who had got married during the week! We had such a fantastic stay, in fact it was no less than perfect! The welcome was fantastic by the owners who we felt couldn't do enough for us. The property itself is spacious, modern, clean and warm and the layout suited us down to the ground with the lounge and kitchen area perfect for communal living, seating large groups comfortably. There are plenty of lovely bathrooms for all which is ideal when you are mountain biking and the property is situated very close to the local pub which is perfect for a group of bikers. We also had a meal there which was fantastic. So sorry for all the 'perfects' and 'fantastics' but I can't find any other words to describe our stay at White Gables. Book with confidence...we will be returning hopefully soon!

“stunning view and lots of space” When we picked up the keys for the house the staff was not very friendly. But we were very pleased when we arrived at the very nice house. We liked the space and the fantastic view from the living room. We would suggest to add a tumble dryer to the house because it is always a bit wet in the Lake District and the humidity I the house is quite high. Some of the showers in the house should be made more flexible.
