“The sound of the waves, right outside your door, are like a lull” We had a "rough time" getting here (mechanical problems with the plane, canceled flight, etc.) but the cottage soothed our tired souls! We found the drum of the waves to be the best lullaby and the fresh air and abundant sunshine to renew our spirits. We appreciated the personal art on the walls and the large open space. For folks who enjoy cooking with local produce, the well stocked kitchen, the large number of pots/pans/utensils, and the full sized refrigerator are perfect. There was plenty of hot water in the shower (and good water pressure!), the furniture was comfortable (brought back memories of beach houses from our childhood), and the large counter surface in the "dressing room" was perfect for all of our "stuff". We used the outdoor patio table for several breakfasts and dinners, watched a neighbor vacationer fish from the sea wall, and took daily walks on the nearly deserted beach. There were many informative books in the cottage along with maps, Dvds, etc. We used the guide books but were too busy enjoying Oahu to need any other form of entertainment! Although we have traveled extensively in the past few years, this was our first trip to Hawaii. We have already recommended the cottage to family and friends - thank you, Peter, for sharing your wonderful home.

“Over the moon” My husband and I stayed at this enchanting cottage for 10 days. I have to say I can not remember a time that we enjoyed ourselves more. Harry was awsome and very informative. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Harry had thought of everything from an Ice chest to snorkeling gear and more which was at our disposal. There were books about the island and maps and even suggestions on restaurants and grocery stores. I honestly can not think of one thing he has forgotten. The location is centrally located which made it easy for us to take a day trip and still be able to make it home before dark. We would definately stay here again and hope to very soon. “Tropical Relaxing, Atmosphere in Puna Country” Hale LIZARDE is a piece of heaven. In the country 10 minutes from the sleepy town of Pahoa and 15 min from the Hot lava tube spas at the ocean. It is located on a secluded acre , a tropical get away. Lush gardens surround a very comfortable home and Ohana cottage. We loved the screened in patio like eating in the rain forest. The Koke frogs are loud at night but it is a beautiful sound like night time birds and is reduced if windows are shut at night. They help to sing you to sleep. Also loved the whirl pool spa in the master suite. Also having laundry washer and dryer was great too, Kitchen had essentials and blender too.

“Perfect little hide away” Janet was super accommodating during our stay. The access to bikes, snorkel gear and an outdoor hose off was great! We rented scooters and found the location to be perfect for both the White Sands Beach and the snorkeling beach. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks for letting us have a late check out too! Saved us the hassle of sweating in the heat waiting for our shuttle!

“"Lovely"” We stayed at Suite Aloha in September for 11 days. The room was spacious, airy and very comfortable. There was a huge ceiling fan to cool the entire room throughout the day and night. We were awakened by the sweet fragrance of plumeria as it floated through the windows every morning. Lovely! Sabine thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. We were welcomed with fresh fruit and a Beautiful arrangement of fresh Hawaiian flowers. There were beach items available for us to use including a beach umbrella, chairs, mats and beach bag. The location was ideal. We could easily walk to Kailua Beach or to Kailua town. Kailua town has plenty of upscale shops and restaurants. There was even a brand new Target there. We would definitely stay there again. It was lovely!

“Wonderful Stay” Hawaiian Journeys is an excellent eco-friendly, economical option for vacationing on the Big Island! We enjoyed are stay and had a great time experiencing staying in the yurt. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!!!

“Beautiful guesthouse, enjoy our vacation” My husband and I stayed at the Waiola guesthouse for 9 nights. We really enjoyed it. This was a wonderful place to stay, an overall wonderful experience. The house is bright, clean, and nicely built. David and Wendy are very nice and helpful, giving suggestions, providing delicious fruits and eggs. I really enjoyed limes there. It tastes very good. You should try it when u visit this place. The full kitchen had all the things you would have in your own house. It was quite from town, traffic jams and people. We had the pleasure of waking up to beautiful birds song every morning. Fresh air, beautiful view and u can see the ocean away in the distance. While its private, the main highway is still very close. It's easy to get there, and it's close to Point South and Green Sand Beach. We highly recommend this place those who like a peaceful vacation in beautiful area Jeab and Greg

“All the comforts of home, but in paradise!” Chris's condo has all of the comforts of home. There is equipment for outdoor activities. The kitchen has everything you could want. The washer and dryer means not having to bring home dirty clothes (yea!). The condo is close to everything. There are great places to eat, some within walking distances. Shopping is great, also within walking distance. The unit is very clean and quiet. A perfect place to get away from the rest of the world. You can do as little or as much as you want. We will be coming back next year!!

“Very enjoyable, relaxing and peaceful amongst the local people not in the rat race of touristy Waikiki.” We did not rent a car and used the local bus system to travel everywhere which was great but time consuming. The accommodation is at least an hour from Honolulu and Waikiki so travelling on a bus late at night is not ideal, however the bus does stop outside the condo complex. The condo facilities are comfortable with access to 2 pools, it is on the 3rd floor with stair access only which is hard with heavy luggage, however being higher up means there are sea views and the benefit of fresh breezes. We found the owner friendly and approachable.
