“Loved Maui by the Sea!” Valerie, We loved our stay at the cottage. Couldn't have been better! Tavares beach was our favorite, just watching turtles and hanging out. Paia is a great town. It really felt like home and we hope to be back soon. Thank you to you and Craig for the hospitality. Mahalo, Tom and Michelle

Launiupoko, Private Luxury Home "Kalapana"

Lahaina house

3 bedrooms / 4 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Beautiful Home” The setting and view is spectacular. All the rooms were very nice. We enjoyed the pool table upstairs, although be careful as there is a flaw in the slate and the cue ball can go flying! The Sonos music system is also great. The backyard is perfect. Lots of pool toys. We enjoyed the evenings watching the stars. We did have a few minor issues. We had 3 adult couples and it wasn't clear that two of the bedrooms had a shared bath. The other bath was across the hall. We had expected private baths for each bedroom. The showers are beautiful but water pressure is minimal. Lastly, it seems that pool and hot tub controls are managed by the owner down below. The pool light would turn off and if you wanted to swim late, we couldn't find a pool light switch. Lastly, we didn't have heat in the hot tub the first day/night and requested help from the owner. No response. The pool maintenance person fixed it for us the next day. Even with these minor issues, I would recommend the home again. It is beautiful and has stunning views. We enjoyed the fruit trees, too.

“Great place to stay!” We had a wonderful time in Maui and we owe a great part of that to our stay in this condo. It was the perfect retreat and place to come home to after the day's outings. The grounds are beautiful and the condo complex is well located with beaches just across the street and others just a few minutes' drive south. I loved sitting on the lanai and looking out onto a small section of the ocean which was visible through the trees. Judy graciously called us shortly after we arrived to see how we were doing and if she could help us in any way. We would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

Haiku, Maui Vacation Rental-Bamboo Valley Inn

Haiku house

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Family Vacation Paradise” We had our second family vacation stay in the Haleakala Suite and loved it! Tom and Vicki's attention to detail made our vacation so easy and enjoyable. We love the beautiful surroundings, furnishings, and serene atmosphere away from the bustling tourist areas. Yet it's still only a short drive to the beach and excellent restaurants like Mama's Fish House and Hali'imaile General Store. We also spent mornings and evenings in making our own breakfasts and grilling dinners on the patio. The kitchen had everything we needed to make nice home-cooked meals. We made good use of the beach supplies like the cooler, beach towels, and sand bucket. :) Our time at Bamboo Valley Inn was cherished time - especially our daughter getting to visit Tom and Vicki's horse each morning. We're sure this will be a fond memory for her, and we plan to visit again as often as we can. Don't miss out on this gem of a vacation home!

About Paia

Paia is known for its beautiful beaches, large arts community, scenic attractions, and culinary delights! Luckily, Paia is small enough that just about anything you want to reach in town can be accessed by walking or biking. If you are looking for trendy shops and charming restaurants serving up traditional Hawaiian fare be sure to explore the options along Main Street.

Here are a few additional suggestions of things to do in Paia:

  • Hana Highway: For an unforgettable afternoon drive, head down this scenic highway to get a closer look at the beautiful beaches and lush green scenery in the area.
  • Maui Crafts Guild: Set in a two-story wooden building, this crafts shop features the work of the best artists in the area.
  • Go to the Beach: Baldwin Beach Park is one of the many beaches in the area where the locals spend their days off soaking up the rays.
  • Maui Tropical Plantation: Located just outside of Paia in neighboring Wailuku, this plantation has the West Maui Mountains as a backdrop, and the guided tours provide insight into Maui's booming agriculture industry.

Don't let the small size of Paia fool you. There a number of major events and festivals held here throughout the year that appeal to all ages and interests. Listen to local bands playing traditional Hawaiian music during the annual town celebration known as Paia Fest in June, or enjoy a festive night of shopping and giving to local charities during Paia Gives every December.

A vacation rental is the preferred option for those staying in Paia. Book a spacious home within walking distance of the many attractions Paia has to offer, or rent a lavish condo with ocean views from right out your bedroom window. No matter what you're looking for in your vacation, there's a property available in town that will meet all of your needs.

If you have some extra time to explore the surrounding area, visit the major city of Kahului, or the beautiful beaches of Lahaina.

Maui by the Sea cottage
Absolutely perfect!!!

This cottage is absolutely perfect, and Valerie is the most gracious and friendly host as well. The property is literally right on the ocean and the views are indescribable. The below pictures were taken from the lawn chairs right out front. Not a bad way to start the morning! We fell in love with Paia and this cottage. We will definitely be back!see more
ROMANTIC MAUI BEACH HOME, 3-BR/3 BATH, 3 MINUTES TO BABY BEACH
Fantastic!

Daniel's home was absolutely perfect for our group of 10. There was plenty of space to spread out and not walk over each other. The home was clean and well appointed with everything you could possibly need. Daniel is a great host who lives on site but goes out of his way to provide privacy but is there if we needed something. Seriously. Its was truly paradise. We would recommend Plantation Beach Home to anyone. It is a gem.see more
STPH 2013/0017 Maui Family Vacation Rental, Beach House, Paia
A peaceful, relaxing getaway.

We wanted to stay in a house that was away from the touristy areas. This Paia beach house fit the bill. A few minutes drive to the heart of Paia and a short walk to the beach and Mama's Fish House, this was a clean and airy place to stay. It is in a residential neighborhood with lanais and a view of Haleakala. Our host Paula was very willing to assist with any problems. We really enjoyed staying here. The only minor issue we encountered was the lack of variety of utensils for cooking. The house is a split level, so there was a lot of walking up and down stairs, as the bedrooms are downstairs, so I wouldn't recommend it for people with limited mobility.see more
