Direct Oceanfront in the Heart of Waikiki! Spectacular New Custom Reno!!

Honolulu condo

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“Beautiful condo!!” Our family of 7 adults + 2 toddler/baby had a wonderful stay at this condo. The view was gorgeous with oceanfront view. The only (very minor) complaint was the first bathroom shower. It is designed with only a tub with no curtains. There was a shower head but you can’t hang it up anywhere, so you’d have to hold it. Most of my family used the master room shower instead or the gym shower since they aren’t used to just using the tub. Very minor but just our personal preference. Location was close to everything and the beach is just a minute walk.

“Vibe” This place is appropriately described with regards to amenities, etc. It's cozy, comfortable and has everything you want, need or didn't have room for in your luggage. But what can't be described is the feel - it just feels spot-on - it feels Hawaii, and it most definitley feels North Shore. We went in early June, the surf was small by North Shore standards, but perfect for mortals. This time of year was great for us because, without the big surf hype, we had the area to ourselves (especially during the week) to enjoy with with locals. We surfed, we snorkled, we hiked, we hung out .. and so many hanging-out options - inside on the couch, under the fans; on the roof-top as the sun rises, in the lanai, on the lawn chairs, on the hammock, on the beach - or (as i did), ride out a passing rain shower in that grass hut lean-to thingy (that probably has a name) on the beach. One other note - The owners were not there during our stay, but the in-area manager was super-responsive, friendly and helpful!

“Remote, quaint just outside the crowds of North Shore” Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Orange Cottage at Owen's Retreat. Yes - it could use a little "sprucing up" like others have mentioned. This is not some swanky beach cottage. But we weren't really looking for that. It was peaceful and intimate. The ocean is literally feet away. The beach directly out front is not swimable - but drive either direction a few minutes and you have all kinds of beaches to swim at. 10 minute drive to the shops and restaurants of North Shore. The airplanes and helicopters were not an issue - it all stopped at night time. The caretakers were very sweet and around if you needed them.

“Luxury and paradise awaits you.....” My family rented from Gina and her family for my cousin's wedding at Turtlebay. I was hesitant to book instead of staying at the hotel but I am SO happy we stayed in this amazing villa. The wedding party stayed at the hotel and were envious of our spacious luxe accommodations. I highly recommend this and am looking forward to longer stay. We really did not want to check. The place is gorgeous, beautifully decorated and extremely well cared for. I would love to have Gina come decorate my place. Great style! The location is steps away from the resort and Ola's restaurant and directly in front of the beach that is perfect for snorkeling. Gina and her family have very thoughtful and clear instructions in the villa on just about everything you can think about. The rental, check in and check out process was seamless.

“Beautiful, clean, spacious condo with amazing views and location” My husband and I stayed in this condo with our 2 boys as well as his parents. We found that we had lots of room for all of us. The unobstructed views from the 2 lanais were absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. The kitchen was well stocked and we had more than enough towels and linens. ( bring your own beach towel though or buy some for a souvenir) Our boys enjoyed using the snorkelling gear. The double beds were a touch hard for my tastes but comfortable enough. The location was perfect for us. The beach was within easy walking distance and we enjoyed swimming in the lagoon as well. I would absolutely recommend this condo, we would love to return! Thank you Dainora for a wonderful stay and ease of rental.

“Kelly's Property Description Is Spot On.” Excellent property in a great location. Easy walk to either Waikiki beach or ala Moana Park.Thank you so much to the owner Kelly, she always replied promptly to all emails and was very professional. I have to admit I was a little nervous booking something online but I can promise the condo is just like the pictures. Everything was clean and spotless and the murphy bed was very comfy, the beautiful kitchen is full equiped. Thanks again Kelly and we can't wait to come back again!

“Turtle Bay Condo” We enjoyed our stay at your Turtle Bay condo. It's in a beautiful area with beautiful beaches, 3 pools to choose from, tennis, golf and horseback riding. The condo was spacious, clean and quiet. It had a nice lanai and a well-equiped kitchen. We would stay there again if we planned to travel to Oahu.

“This place offers the best of all worlds” My boyfriend and I spent a week at this spectacular villa and can't wait to come back next year. We were greeted by Louie upon arrival and he escorted us to our underground parking space and walked us up to the villa. The first thing we noticed when we walked into the villa was the breathaking views; you have the ocean to the left and the mountains to the right. It was the perfect combination of water and nature. Louie explained the resort's amenities, including a fully equiped fitness facilty and lagoon. The villa is tastefully furnished and equipped with all the amenities you would expect from a high end home. We visit Hawaii once a year and have stayed at several high end hotels, including the Royal Hawaiian in Waikiki, Fairmont in Wailea, etc., and this villa is up there with the best accommodations the islands have to offer. The best part of the stay was that we always looked forward to coming back to the relaxing atmosphere of the villa. We often drove to Waikiki for shopping or to visit friends during the day, and enjoyed coming back to the Ko Olina area at night as it was peaceful and quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. The drive is only about 35 minutes so we truly had the best of both worlds in staying at this resort. We also enjoyed walking from the villa to Roy's for their happy hour specials as well as the shopping center nearby. There is a small market and a good variety of food and restaurants at the shopping center. We feel like we've uncovered a hidden treasure by finding this place. We are excited to return soon!

“Delightful stay” We stay there for 3 months during winter, the location is pristine with lush green mountains on the other side and ocean on one side. The apartment itself made our stay in Oahu more pleasant since it has 'that' homey touch instead of a hotel. It felt like we're home.

“Very enjoyable, relaxing and peaceful amongst the local people not in the rat race of touristy Waikiki.” We did not rent a car and used the local bus system to travel everywhere which was great but time consuming. The accommodation is at least an hour from Honolulu and Waikiki so travelling on a bus late at night is not ideal, however the bus does stop outside the condo complex. The condo facilities are comfortable with access to 2 pools, it is on the 3rd floor with stair access only which is hard with heavy luggage, however being higher up means there are sea views and the benefit of fresh breezes. We found the owner friendly and approachable.

“Beautiful Beach front condo!” We had the most wonderful 10 day stay at the Ko Olina Beach villas penthouse. The unit had the most incredible view, there was not a single thing between us and the beach! The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed in the condo. It was fully stocked with snorkel gear and beach towels, toys and chairs. Even an umbrella! Everything at this condo is high end. The master bedroom shares the same unobstructed ocean view as the living room; it was incredible to just open my eyes in the morning and watch the waves splashing off the lagoon rocks without even getting out of bed. We loved being able to relax in the beach bar loungers, looking out at the ocean with our toes in the small sandy area while the kids played nearby in the pool. It was the best of both worlds. This resort is extremely quiet and relaxing, and the service is amazing. Meg was very accommodating and so easy to work with. We will definitely stay again.

“Amazing and Perfect!!” We could not have asked for a better cottage for our honeymoon stay on Oahu. The location is perfect - right on the beach so the waves lull you to sleep and you can walk right outside in the morning to watch the sunrise. The location on the island is also ideal as a midpoint between towns on the far north shore to accessing Pearl Harbor and Wakiki Beach. Karen is extremely attentitive to details within the cottage for any amenity you may need. She was also very responsive as we prepared for our arrival. For a quiet, beach front getaway, this is your place to stay!

About Oahu

With a nickname like 'the gathering place,' Oahu is a melting pot of ethnicities, activities and personalities. As the governmental and cultural capital of Hawaii, Oahu has a pulse like none other. Hawaiian vacationers seek out the rare mix of life that defines the island. In Oahu, the Pacific Rim cuisine is infused with the piping hot noodles of Japan, the easy-going island outlook is contrasted with the humble solemnity of Pearl Harbor, and Honolulu's metropolis bustles with the serene volcanic parks rising into a jade oblivion in the distance.

With several communities dappling the coasts, each region of the island offers something to fulfill any notion of a dream Hawaiian vacation. Honolulu and Waikiki flank the southern coast, which is perhaps, the most famed area in Hawaii. Honolulu, the vibrant capitol, has a spunky beat, combining the laid-back island mentality with the fast-paced veracity of the city. Waikiki has been voted one of the best beaches countless times and with Diamond Head watching over beach dwellers, it's no wonder why. At the opposite end of the island, the North Shore is widely considered the best place in the world for surfing. At any time of the year, salty surfers glide over the sparkling ocean while 20 foot waves chase them to the shore.

Here are a few additional suggestions to help you plan your trip:

  • Take a surf lesson: There are plenty of excellent surfing schools along the North shore with skilled, patient teachers who can have you up and hitting the waves in no time.
  • Go snorkeling in the Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve: Encounter brilliantly colored fish, sea turtles and protected live coral in this spectacular preserve.
  • Take the scenic drive to Makapu'u Point: Explore lively tide pools, take a beautiful hike up a paved path, and experience breathtaking views from the overlook.
  • Visit the Ala Moana Beach Park: This is a great place to relax and a safe calm swimming spot for small children. Have a family picnic in this serene setting close to public facilities, shopping areas, and a jogging path.
  • See the Manoa Falls: Just outside of Honolulu, take the hour long hike to the spectacular 100 foot high Manoa Falls.
  • Visit the Polynesian Cultural Center: Learn more about Polynesian Island heritage with a visit to this 42-acre facility on the North Shore.

After a long day of adventures in paradise, watch the sunset from a deck of a luxury Oahu dinner cruise, and then retire to your beautiful beach condo and enjoy a relaxed evening with someone special. Rent a romantic vacation rental just a few steps from the beach, or book a sprawling, elegant vacation home with room for your family and friends. This area is a popular choice for couples planning Oahu weddings or families gathering for reunions. While you're visiting Oahu, don't miss a chance to explore Maui and Kauai as well.

Beautiful Place

Loved everything about this place. The grounds, the pool, the lagoon, is everything you would hope for, absolutely beautiful! After spending the whole day exploring the island, it was wonderful to come back to this relaxing villa. It was equipped with everything you need to explore. We used the cooler, the beach towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards. We cooked our breakfast and dinners in the villa, was well stocked. It even had a crock pot which I used for one of our meals. After being out all day, none of us wanted to go out for dinner, so didn't mind cooking. This is the place to stay when in Oahu, away from the busy Waikiki, which every day we explored the island we had to deal with the traffic on our way back. Well worth it because this was an amazing vacation!see more

Quaint little house

The house it self is perfect for a couples get away, but it can definitely fit 5. Rachel and Paul are the sweetest people ever! They love to talk and get to know you, but they also respect your space. It’s a 5 min walk to the beach plus you’re a 5 min drive into town so if you want to get groceries it’s super easy. I would know I got mine whilst riding a bike. There is so much to do in Kailua and they give you a map of the town which is super cool! Even though there is a lot to do, it is much quieter than Waikiki and you truly get to enjoy your time at the beach. This trip was the best experience I’ve had in Oahu for a cheap price! I would book with them again it was that amazing!see more
Gorgeous Zen 2 Bedroom Cottage
Perfect cottage

Location of this house is perfect. Secluded but not too far away from stuff. Although car is still recommended if you plan on exploring other areas of Oahu, uber to waikiki area is very reasonably priced. Jose was really nice and helpful. There were 4 of us staying at the house and it was really spacious for all of us. The only downside of this place is the weird layout. You’ll have to walk through the smaller bedroom to use the kitchen or access it from the backdoor and that the access to the lanai was through the main bedroom. Other than the funky layout, this place is perfect. The layout wasn’t a problem for us but i can see how it might be for some people. We would definitely stay here again if we go back to Oahu.see more
