“Our First Maui Vacation” My girlfriend and I have used Vrbo before, for properties in Europe and have never had an issue. Jill and Terry did not disappoint! The Honua Kai property and more specifically the unit we stayed in owned by Jill and Terry was absolutely incredible! I think it's rated as 4 stars, but clearly it was closer to 5 stars in our opinion. The description and photos on the unit were quite accurate. Jill was amazing with customer service and always helped us when needed. The amount of local information made available to us in the form of a very big binder or two in their condo was awesome. The condo unit was very clean and tidy when we arrived. We highly recommend a visit to Honolua Bay to go snorkling. It's only about a 15 minutes drive from the property, and worth the visit! It's a rocky beach, so leave the beach chairs at home and just take towels and snorkel equipment with you. Also, if you're a foodie, check out Roy's, about 5 miles south of Honua Kai. As well, Duke's is on the Honua Kai resort property and it's an awesome restaurant for drinks, lunch and dinner-highly recommend both Dukes and Roy's. We also went to the Old Lahaina Luau one night, and boy it was just amazing! Great entertainment and food. We would recommend this property to anyone, and have already done so with our friends.

“Perfect location” Truly a perfect location. The constant sound of the waves on the reef outside is very relaxing. Easy access to snorkeling right outside the apartment. The apartment is extremely well kept and has a great range of cooking equipment, plates, glasses etc – everything we needed. Sitting for meals on the patio is just beautiful. There are plenty of supermarkets nearby and even the ABC store at the nearest gas station has a lot of useful supplies! We would thoroughly recommend this condo and would love to go back!

“Paradise!” Our stay in 427 Sugar Beach Resort was awesome! Beautiful, comfortable condo that was very clean and well stocked. Having free long distance to Canada was a real bonus for us, we were able to call home everyday!

“Paradise Found” Thank you for providing a beautiful condo for us to stay in. The unit was in the perfect location at the resort. We loved seeing the lights from the garden pool outside of our bedroom at night. The furnishings are absolutely beautiful and the unit was very clean! We loved the spa shower! We could not have asked for a more perfect place to spend our vacation. We only wish that we had booked a longer trip. We will definitely be back. We really appreciated your recomendations on where to eat and what to see while visiting Maui. Star noodle is our new favorite restaurant! The location of the resort itself was perfect. We loved being able to walk to new restaurants every night, except for the nights we cooked in! We really enjoyed the Bbq's and the fully stocked kitchen. We were also able to find free parking every night on the street out front. Thank you again for lettings us stay in your beautiful condo, we will be back!

“Great condo, Great Location!” Great condo, great location! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently returned home from a 10 day stay at Papakea G-407! I wish I could have stayed forever! The condo is in a great location convenient to several gorgeous beaches and a short drive to Lahaina town. We had all the conveniences needed to prepare meals in and enjoyed dinner on the lanai several evenings with a beautiful sunset! Anne provided a great deal of information on the area as well as helpful hints for shopping, sightseeing, etc. The grounds at Papakea are absolutely beautiful! There are two great pools as well as two large jacuzzis. We will definitely return to this condo on our next visit to beautiful Maui! Thank you, Anne and Wes for sharing your home with us! “Great island feel, clean, all the amenities you’d ever want, and close to it all.” We used this as the perfect spot to start and end our days. Stopped at Costco on way from the airport to get our basics. Had a homemade breakfast and dinner most nights and packed a few picnics. Great information supplied on which restaurants and attractions to see supplied by the owner. The decore was so adorable in the unit it was great to come home to. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. The pool and hot tub were immaculate as well. After exploring the island it was soothing to relax here. We even got a chance to see our beloved Toronto Maple leafs play thanks to the Great cable coverage. Walked across to the beach several times and saw turtles and whales. Can’t wait to come back.

“Best trip to Maui ever!” We spent 2 weeks in Terry and Jill's fabulous condo. It had everything we needed and more! Laundry soap, spices, hand soap, boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs and umbrella plus lots more. Terry or Jill were always reachable before or during our trip to answer any questions. We will for sure be back to this resort and book with them again!

They all have their own special characteristics and charm. The Whaler Condo 802 has the best location, comfort, and luxurious amenities. Most of the resorts are all set back from the ocean, and you do not have that feeling of being right on the ocean. Condo 802 is directly in front of the ocean. The soothing ocean sounds truly enhances the level of relaxation during both awake and sleeping hours. The beach in front of The Whaler is one of the best beach sites on Kaanapali Beach for relaxing and swimming. There is a reef directly in front of The Whaler that is good for snorkeling. Black Rock is a short walk from The Whaler that has OUTSTANDING snorkeling and turtle siting opportunities. 2 – The Condo is breathtakingly beautiful and immaculate. The owners, Simon and JaNell, are committed to comfort and luxury. The beds are extremely comfortable. I have sleep challenges “on the mainland” but not in Condo 802. I could not believe how well I slept. This is our 2nd time staying in Condo 802, and I have now stayed in both the guest and master rooms. The sleep situation was outstanding in both rooms. The Master Suite is spectacular. Both rooms are wonderful. However, the Master Suite is incredible! Also, the Lanai is so wonderful. As stated previously, you cannot get any closer to the ocean. We were able to directly watch the whales and site turtles as they swim along the beach line. We even saw a small pod of dolphins swimming close by, as well!! 3 – The kitchen is fantastic! We stayed for 12 nights in Condo 802. (For this trip, we decided to stay more days and dine out less.) We prepared the majority of our meals in the condo. (Martha Stewart would not be disappointed.) Every kitchen utensil and appliance is available. Spices and staples are on hand. We had many gourmet dinners, and we were never deficit for the proper accoutrements. 4 – Simon and JaNell Zemel are outstanding owners. We have stayed in many other Whaler condos. All of The Whaler owners have been wonderful. However, Simon and JaNell set a very high bar for customer service. Shortly after our arrival we received a welcome call from JaNell. She called to ensure that everything in the Condo was accommodating our needs, and she wanted to make certain that we were enjoying our stay in their home. The owners are immediately responsive to any request or issue. We had a minor garbage disposal malfunction. It was immediately addressed and resolved. Simon and JaNell are committed to making your experience in Condo 802 to be relaxing and luxurious. I believe the difference in staying at a 5 Star Resort, and The Whaler Condo 802, is that Condo 802 feels like home. There are wonderful kitchen supplies, toiletries, and laundry supplies. Condo 802 is also stocked with beach gear, which eliminates the need to rent beach gear that you may need during your vacation. Again, the owners are outstanding. They make you feel like you are close friends staying in their home. The only negative issue is leaving. The reentry into reality is very tough after staying at The Whaler Condo 802.

“Amazingly Remarkable Vacation Spot” We found our paradise !! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Sugar Beach Resort in Maui. The view is amazing! How wonderful to hear the waves crashing just below. Soothing and so romantic! So nice to be able to cook meals in and also use the Bbq's at the pool. My husband enjoyed meeting other guy's cooking at the Bbq's. It was quite the social atmosphere. We have been to Maui several times and really liked the location of your condo. So much better than staying in a motel with all the amenities you provided. Thank you so much for the wonderfully decorated tropical atmosphere we had an amazing vacation and will be booking again real soon.

“Breath Taking Views” This penthouse is as advertised! Views are incredible. We saw spouting whales daily ( in season) The humpback whale foundation is right next door and you can hear the conch shells at sunset nightly. There is an Indian restaurant downstairs that serves nightly... So convenient. Makenna beach just down the road was our favorite beach... We would love to return someday!

“Great place to stay” Took a chance on a different rental and glad we did. Condo is very well equipped with necessities, clean and in walking distance to beach. There's lots off good restaurants to venture to, plus fast food if care to go that way. Grocery stores near by. Really enjoyed our stay.

“Paradise - very luxurious” This is a very luxurious condo. It is brand new, on a nice beach. We felt like we were at home. It was beter than we expected. The location is perfect, lots of restaurants and stores nearby. We will certainly go back soon. We will recommand it to our friends.

“Every morning on the patio, with a cup of coffee, made us realiz” We had a wonderful time in Maui and your home was so comfortable and up to date. It had everything we needed, and the coffee table book you put together (with all the suggestions of things to do & where to eat) was so helpful. Before arriving, we were skeptical of being on the first floor but it was absolutely the best place to be. And the view... down the fairway right down to the waves crashing on the coast!!! Breathtaking!!! I will pass along your condo information to our friends who are looking to visit Maui.

“Great Views” We had a lovely time in Maui. #317, Kahana Reef Was very comfortable,peaceful, with the wonderful sound of ocean surf. The condo has great views of Molokai. The weather was off and on due to a Kona Low. There was Big Waves, had much fun watching Sail Boarders and Kite Surfers. Very close to Maui Brewing which was fun to sample their Beers and the food was pretty tasty. The condo had everything we needed. Pool is a bit small. Hot tub would have been great especially with the cooler weather.

“Kihei stay” The condo was wonderful. Plenty of room for our family of six. Clean and well stocked with necessities. Great having the beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels and more, ready to use. So nice to have the washer and dryer to keep up with everything! Cable and wifi, really all the comforts of home.

“Hideaway for Best Getaway” Location: We travelled all over the island, seeing every little nook and cranny. What we realized was that our home base, the "Hideaway" is ideally located on the island. You're centrally located between Kihei (our favourite town), the airport, Lahaina, et al. You're also near some of the best beaches around, including Sugar Beach, the one on which the Hideaway sits, which has one of the best views on all of the island. One suggestion is to stop to get supplies from one of the major grocers near the airport, when you first arrive, to get a firm base of what you need: beer, snacks, meat, veggies, etc. Then you can shop at the nearby general stores for convenience or 10 minute drive to Foodland for following shopping needs. Amenities: The "\Hideaway has everything you need to operate comfortably: dishes, utensils, bedding, beach supplies, cleaning supplies, washer/dryer, brand new oven/stove, brand new TV/sound system, etc. The balcony has the best view. The unit being on the second floor is great in that you get an elevated view but you're still quick to access parking or the pool by elevator or stairs. Facilities: The pool area is superior in its craftsmanship and comfort. It has the only Jacuzzi in the area. You wouldn't think something like this would be necessary in a hot area but it's amazing, especially in the hot, bright sun. One of, if not the biggest highlight about this building is its proximity to the ocean. Not only is there no road between your balcony and the ocean but you're so near to it that you can see the sea turtles floating by. Apparently this luxury of being so close to the ocean is not something you'll see anymore on Maui as they have changed their regulations so that buildings need to be built much further from the ocean. Owners: Accommodating to the max. Wendall and Sally only want you to have the best possible experience on Maui and in the Hideaway. I can't even go to the lengths at which Wendall went to make sure our stay was excellent, suffice to say that it couldn't have been as good without having them to help us out. Conclusion: If you can get in to the Hideaway, go with the opportunity and you will be happy you did.

“A decision you won't regret!” We recently stayed in E-6 and absolutely loved it. From the ease of being able to book the condo to the great service we received from Mike. He was always willing to help with all and any questions I had with not only the condo, but our entire trip. The pictures do not do this unit justice, everything worked out better than could be expected! The beach is peaceful and only a short walk from the front door, full of beautiful fish and turtles. The condo is a very short drive from Lahaina and only a couple blocks from a grocery store. If you are looking for a great getaway with all the amenities of home, this is exactly what your looking for! Can't wait to go back and definitely will be staying at Kahana Sunset!!

“What a wonderfully relaxing get-a-way!” From the moment we arrived, we received such a warm welcome! Every detail thought of: a welcome basket of fruit, beautiful flowers in the room & all amenities you need in the condo. We loved this unit & thought it was really cozy. The balcony view was fantastic & we could not get enough of whale & turtle watching along with all the daily boat activities.

“This Place Has Everything You're Looking for on Maui” We really enjoyed staying at Maui Kai 806. The setting suns and moons as well as the layout of the unit, and the extremely helpful staff (especially Rowena) made our stay wonderful. We would recommend this place to our closest friends and relatives. It is ideally situated with access to all that Maui has to offer. Close to terrific beaches (snorkeling, sunning, etc.), close enough to beautiful sightseeing around Maui, and access to wonderful Lahaina, this place is simply amazing. It was my first trip to Hawaii and definitely a 5 star stay. This place rocks!

“Completely Enjoyed it. Cant wait to return.” We surprised our children with a trip to Maui over their winter break while home from college. When we found this condo open at the last minute, we were a bit leery since it was during the peak season. The surprise was all ours. What a beautiful place!! We could tell the condo had recently been renovated with all new furnishings and amenities. The owner did a wonderful job redecorating and tying the theme together throughout. I'm very particular when it comes to sleeping away from home as you never know how mattresses are going to feel in rentals. I was delighted at how comfortable the beds were and energized each morning when I woke. We truly were in paradise inside and out. The owner was most helpful with booking our trip, especially since it was last minute, providing us with many fun activities to do during our stay. Looking forward to booking our next visit and staying in this beautiful condo.

“Response to Joe London” Joe London must be on "crack"!!! This property is the best in Maui and the the managers are great to work with. We loved this place so much that I have four other people coming to stay next March of 2012. We plan on renting 3 separate units. You can reserve a unit for $500 up front with the balance paid either 60 or 90 days in advance. Not sure what he is talking about in his review? Their website shows all units in very good detail---no surprises. Don't believe anything this idiot has written in his review. Sounds like he was trying to con his way into a unit for nothing, and I really hate these kind of people. We are looking forward to staying at this property next March.

“Fantastic Experience” Stayed with my partner, her 7yr old son, and 79yr old mother. Apartments on the North side were spacious, and even though it was a single room, had enough space for the four of us. Fantastic location with whales visible from the room/beach. Jim was commendable in being flexible with our plans, which due to flight availability, changed part way through discussions. He was very helpful in recommending locations and activities. Look forward to our next stay here.

“Great spot for a relaxing vacation.” This is our second visit to #307. We spent four weeks relaxing and unwinding. Jim and Sue made sure everything was perfect and kept in touch as the islands were in the path of Hurricanes Iselle and Julio, which fortunately didn't affect us at Kahana. We look forward to our next visit to Maui.

“A little piece of paradise!” We stayed two weeks at Valley Isle Resort. It was an awesome experience. Condo was lovely. We had everything we needed. Pool area was never crowded, no problem with beach chairs being available, grills available for barbecuing. Great location. Bus stops out front if you are without a vehicle. We definitely plan on returning.
