“The Perfect Spot” We absolutely LOVED our stay in this condo, and if we get to go back, will definitely stay there! It was in a nice neutral location, perfect location for beach AND pool access, and beautiful views in the evenings and mornings! The condo had everything we needed, and worked great with our delivery service for our children's needs. The only bummer would be that the AC unit on the back patio blows really hot air, so you can't leave your sliding glass doors open in the morning because of the hot air blowing in.

“Vary nice” Accomodations were modern and clean. Resort is beautifully kept. I want to particualry praise the cleaning staff. The two women who came daily were amazing.

“Property Management company and resident Manager.” Property management company was supportive and provided very helpful concierge information. Was responsive to simple issue that arose and very professional and pleasant. The resident manager at the building was friendly and very informative. A great experience all around.

“Kamaole Nalu” Small (36 condos) ON the water between Kamaole 1 and 2. Two bd/2 ba, very well maintained, supplied and friendly manager. Perfect place if you do not want the hassle and crowds of a fancy resort. All are individually owned. Also perfect with children, grandchildren, calm beach, snorkeling right in front with turtles. We've been here more than 30 times in the last 40 years.

“This condo is perfectly situated” Right on the beach and restaurants, mini-marts, and cinnamon rolls and pizza across the street. small kitchen but with all the essential cookware and dining ware. Great lanais with view of the ocean with Molokini in front and Haleakala behind. Friendly helpful staff. I guess it can be hot this time of year but we had perfect weather- high 70's to low 80's.

“Maui memories” We were excited to be coming back back to Makena Surf after staying there two years ago and being so impressed with the unit and the beautiful surroundings back then. We were somewhat fearful that we could even come close to matching that same experience this time around, but this unit exceeded our expectations. We will be back in the near future.

“Fabulous location” The location is perfectly lodged between our two favorite beaches, Kamaole 1 and Kamaole 2. This unit is not as updated as others in the complex, but it has a spectacular view. Between poorly functioning ceiling fans and a hot dryer, it was difficult to keep the room comfortable even with Kihei's famous tradewinds.

“A Pleasant Four Days” Rental was based on recommendations from two friends. It was beautiful; the location is outstanding. The walk to the beach is only about 50 feet from the edge of the building. The view from the apartment was excellent with a good view of the beach. The furnishings are attractive, and the kitchen has all the necessary equipment for light meals. Enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the waves come in. Worked well for grandparents, daughter and 20-month old grandchild.

“very nice stay” We stayed in #404 for 5 days and loved the place. Especially the balcony, we almost lived out there. Large and amazing view. Fourth floor was nice because it seemed like you were close to the beach but just high enough for a reasonable amount of privacy. Also a great view from the bed in the master bedroom. The apartment was very well equipped too, all the little things that make you feel at home. Definitely want to go back.

“Our Favorite Resort in the Islands” We've been coming to Kameole Nalu for over 30 years. We have recommended it to many friends who also have enjoyed it. Unit 405 is OK but needs some painting. Our friends stayed in #506 which has been totally updated. Would definitely recommend either unit. The view and the snorkeling right outside your door are as good as it gets on Maui. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Don't miss "Da Kitchen" for a meal or two.

“Great stay-again!” For the past 15 years we have stayed at Kamaole Nalu. Always a pleasure and such great staff and service. Nothing is lacking and that is why we will return next October!

“Great place but internet needs an upgrade” The place was great but the internet was down almost all week. Everything is booked online these days so it was rally a pain not to have this working. Please upgrade the internet since it definitely impacted our experience.

“Thanks So Much!” We had a great time. Also going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean right outside window WOW! The condo has a lot to offer, with a bathroom for each room and vanity area was a neat plus. The only concern was how the line of sight that others could see when they were on their balconies, if your curtain was open, it would be wise to be properly dressed because several times when you look up, you would see somebody looking at you. Our host Pat, Awesome!

“Love the Nalu” We love the Nalu, have stayed many times, first time at this unit. Was too hot in July without A/C! (none are in this complex) Unit was updated nicely. Pool is getting re-tiled in August, that is a needed improvement.

“Amazing and Beautiful” Loved staying at this condo. Great accommodations, great services and support staff. The only odd thing was the power kept going out in the master bedroom/bathroom. Other than that, it was a 10!

“Paradise Found at #303” Clean Great location, great service by staff, ample parking, lovely pool, everything you need in a condo away from home. Comfy bed, great views. We will definitely rent again. Mahalo!

“We love the whales” This is a really nice condo. Great views and nicely remodeled. It needs a new frig and toaster. Bathrooms and kitchens are great!!

“Great Place to Stay” The place was newly remodeled. What you see on the pictures is what you get, not less. The view is great and if you have little kids the little beach in front is perfect for them. We loved it and we will definitively recommend to everybody.

“June in maui” We went to kihei for my husbands birthday. We stayed in kihei beach 506. Everything was wonderful and the condo was very clean. We loved the location. We were very happy being directly on the beach and loved sitting on the deck. The best part was we slept so good on that wonderful bed. I definitely would stay there again if we go back to Maui. “The view was fabulous, and we had a great time!” This was our third year at Kamaole Nalu but our first in #606. It is a very nice unit. We enjoyed the updated kitchen as we cooked in quite a bit. We recommended Kamaole Nalu to our daughter. Consequently, she and her family and our niece and her husband are staying in #606 at the end of June. It was a pleasant surprise to receive the very nice gift bag this year. We really enjoyed the treats. One of the best things about staying at Kamaole Nalu is Pat, the manager. “Great Sunset Views!” We loved the Kihei area, especially this quiet condo area of the island. This condo has a wonderful lanai overlooking the beautiful bay area, has a very well equipped, 2 beautiful bathrooms, comfy seating areas in the living room, small ice chest, 2 beach chairs & beach towels. The lawn area has plenty of loungers for sunset viewing or sunbathing. The condo is located at Keawakapu Beach, a great beach for swimming, boarding and walking. The pool at Kihei Surfside feels great after a day at the beach and the gas bbq area is clean and a really a quick walk from the unit. The laundry is clean with plenty of units. Be sure to save your quarters as it takes $2 to wash and $2 to dry. There is no change machine. Tips: Hana Hwy is a must - take time to go down the Nahiku Road for great ocean views, including cheap fruit and flower stands. The black sand beaches are great with a nice hike through lava fields. Met lots of folks that went all the way around through Kipahulu. They said it was a long day, but worth it. Go up to Haleakala to watch the sunrise and take the beautiful, crazy narrow road along Hwy 340 and 30 to go to the Olivine pools and Nakalele Blowhole, enjoy appetizers at the Five Palms located below the Mana Kai resort.

“Fantastic Stay at Makena Surf” We would definitely return to this property, if not exact condo, at Maken Surf. Great location and ideal building on the big beach.Make sure you see the development plan so you pick the right building - it's worth being beachfront. And when the west coast was in the clouds, we were always sunny. Lovely beach, quiet with just the right amount of action close by. Easy drive to area shops and restaurants. Condo was ideal and services were terrific. If you are looking for beach and pool bar, resort services - this is not your place. There is a beach and pool but no blended drinks being served. But you'll spend three times the money for a hotel room versus having the luxury of spreading out at "home" with your family for meals, movie night and morning breakfast on the lanai. A much nicer way to go and then eat dinner in all the great restaurants. Who wants to shower and dress for breakfast anyway? I'd rather eat on the lanai and relax. The condo has everything you would want for a lovely stay from good bedding, spacious bathrooms,beach chairs, daily maid service, to streaming Netflix and fully stocked kitchen. Rent a car and you are all set.You won't want to leave and you feel more like you live there rather than just being another tourist. Oh and having a washer dryer in the unit was super convenient. Overall... a lovely spot.

“Excellent! Excellent! excellent!” We have stayed in Unit #110 in 2013 and 2014 and we are already looking at our calendar for 2015 - the staff at ali'i Resorts are the best - from the time you call for a quote to the day you have finished your vacation they are there for you - the cleaning staff are excellent as well - this is a cement building so you do not hear anyone upstairs or beside you - being an end unit you have more privacy when eating outside on your lanai - if you need some shade this unit has a beautiful big palm tree to sit under right in front of your unit next to the ocean - this unit is located just off the highway coming from the airport and is centrally located for shopping including groceries - at Foodlands make sure you ask for a free customer card and you receive 10% off all your groceries - it never expires and we use our year after year - right across the street from the condo is a fruit and vegetable fresh market as well as an aBC store that is open until 11 PM every night if you have run out of milk, eggs, beer etc. The only thing that we mentioned to ali'i Resorts on this current trip is the matresses on the twin beds in the 2nd bedroom should be changed soon as they are not as firm as they used to be - the matress in the 1st bedroom is new and excellent - what we totally enjoy is the tranquility of the property and the cleanliness and the value for what you receive - my husband and I have very busy lives here at home and so it is sure nice to relax and have the ocean right there - you can't go wrong in renting this Unit.

“Amazing” This condo is great -- location is great, condo was perfect for our vacation. Everything you need for your vacation is in the condo. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again.

“Perfect!!!” Our stay at Wailea Elua was absolutely great. Our accommodations were spacious and beautiful with a breathtaking view of the ocean. The grounds were remarkable with close access to beach and private sitting areas. The condo had everything you needed. The staff on hand were very accommodating. And close to shopping and restaurants.

“Clean and spacious with attentive service” This is a nice condo rental for Wailea. While the furnishings and mattresses are not that up to date, the cleanliness and location are very good. I found the kitchen in particular to have very good supplies. When I complained about the terrible coffee maker, it was replaced immediately. I should have complained during our stay instead of afterwards, and we might have been able to make good coffee while there. The cleaning service was very good. I would have appreciated a second set of beach towels as one set is not nearly enough for a beach vacation. I also would say that the master bedroom mattress was not supportive and is probably too old. This unit is on the row closest to the road so if your 2nd bedroom sleepers are light ones, they might be bothered by traffic noise. Overall this is a great condo village to stay at, but these units are old and you are paying for proximity to the beach, not high end units.

“Kihei Condo at Sugar Beach by Alii Resorts” Great property. Beach at your lanai back door. Easy access. Fully furnished with all utensils. Wonderful having breakfast on the lanai patio, listening to the waves and walking out 30 yards to the ocean.

“Would stay here again without hesitation” Great beach/water location. Loved being able to sit on the Lanai and see whales, dolphins and hear the waves and yet high enough that had complete privacy from anyone on the beach. Great location on Maui (central) which was great for getting to/from other activities. The condo provided our family of 5 with everything we needed for our stay. It was clean and comfortable. Everything was as expected. The unit is on the 5th floor at the end of the complex away from the elevator so you either use the 5 flights off stairs or a walk from the elevator (but this also gives the privacy). The only two items I would recommend that could be improved were that that the oven took 45 minutes to pre-heat to 400 degrees (minor given that we only used it twice) and it would be nice to have a few water toys included for the kids to use, given that it was such a great beach location. We spent quite a bit of time in the water right in front of the place and it would have been nice for the kids to have a few water toys such as a boogie board, paddle board, or mask and snorkel. This was our first trip to Maui and we are completely happy with this unit and would stay here again.

“Our Best Vacation to Date” We had a wonderful time in Maui and truly enjoyed our condo at Wailea Ekolu. The views of the ocean were amazing (whale watching from our lanai). We really appreciated that we were in a quiet location but still close to all the action. There were 4 adults and 2 children in the condo and we had plenty of room. Ali'i Resorts took care of us-we had a issue with the microwave not working on the first day and they had a replacement there within hours. The unit was very clean and the resort staff were always friendly and accommodating (whether it be answering questions about Maui or booking excursion or just bringing some extra toilet paper). We checked out other beaches but found ourselves always coming back to Wailea Beach- the best one for us- great snorkelling and waves for boogie boarding as well as easy access (about a 10-15 min walk from the condo). Can't wait to return.

“Excellent Condo for the Money” When we reserved the condo we got three very informative emails in reply letting us know about check in-check out procedures, nearby restaurants, car rentals, activities in Maui, etc., so that was very helpful. When we got there we found the condo very clean with plenty of comfortable furnishings. There is no A/C but we found that if we opened the windows and turned on the fans in the evenings, the condo stayed very comfortable. It did not get too hot in the middle of the day. Kevin's policy of marking refrigerator items with the date of purchase is brilliant and renters to save on the cost of condiments and other little items. The pantry was full of staples too, so if you forgot to get something at the store, you will likely find it in the cupboard! Kevin keeps the bathroom medicine cabinet, linen closet and bedroom closets stocked with everything else you may need - boogie boards, sand toys, snorkel equipment, pool noodles, laundry detergent, bleach, bandages, antibacterial ointment, sunscreen, linens, beach towels, duct tape, you name it! The only thing we needed but couldn't find was a pair of scissors, but we got by! FYI, there is no dishwasher, so you will have to wash the dishes by hand. The location is very nice. It is in a part of town where you can walk to restaurants, a natural (but vegetarian) market, coffee shop, shave ice store, surf shop, etc. Plus it is a bout a 5-10 minute drive north of Lahaina if you need more in terms of shops and restaurants. Lahaina is also a prime spot for surf and paddleboard lessons and for hiring a boat for deep sea fishing, among other activities. The condo is also right across the street from a nice, well-used (by locals and tourists alike) park and beach. The surf doesn't get real big here, so it was a perfect boogie boarding location for our 10 year old, and a nice fishing location for our 14 year old. Plus, BONUS PART, a sea turtle hung out with us one afternoon, eating whatever grows on the rocks just off shore and swimming around our ankles.

“Wonderful stay in the perfect home. Great golf and beach locatio” My friends and I stayed in this high-end well-appointed home while we were on Maui. Our main purpose was to fit in as many games of golf as possible as our wives shopped and relaxed by the pools and enjoyed the beaches. This plan worked out perfectly since we were located right on golf course and a short walk from the beach. Everyone was more than happy with our accommodations and being able to rent a spacious home in the center of a luxury resort was ideal. This home was an exceptional value when you consider that most of the hotel rooms in the Wailea/Kihei area go for the same price for just one room. Everyone in our group felt as though this was our own home in Maui and we expect we will return again as soon as we can.
