West Boulder Cabins

McLeod log cabin

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 7

“Rustic-chic Cabins” These cabins are terrific for folks who want to relax and fly fish, and who like interesting architecture and rustic buildings. Crafted from reclaimed wood by a local builder, they are well designed and attractively furnished--rustic but comfortable. A gorgeous setting--the front porch has a view of the mountains (as best we could tell, the backside of the Yellowstone area). The porch, with its shaded overhang, is so inviting in the morning that we had a hard time putting down our books and coffee to go fishing. And the dining room/sun porch, with its walls of windows, is very pleasant for meals. The cabins are isolated--pick up your groceries on the way. We found good fishing in several rivers and streams within a 30-40-minute drive. There's also a river with good fishing about 75 yards from the cabins--a short walk across the road and a field--though we weren't sure whether we were allowed to fish there or not. (We fished each day, so we can't address the hiking possibilities in the area.) Although there were only three of us, these cabins, rented as a pair, are designed especially for a large family or for two couples (with or without kids). The kitchen is well equipped--more so than most we have stayed in--and the cabins have Internet access. All in all, idyllic, as long as you don't mind being far from a town.

Boulder River Barn

McLeod log cabin

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“A very relaxing stay in a unique cabin located in a private sett” We have stayed in several Moutnain Home cabins and have never been disappointed. This cabin carries the "barn motiffe" to the smallest details, including door latches and kerosene lamps. It is a great base camp for exploring the Boulder River Valleys.

Boulder River Cabin

“Boulder river cabin” We loved the home! It was such an amazing home. There was nothing we needed that wasn't there. Very disappointed in fishing, but no one can predict that.

Mountainside Cabins - Gil's & Cubby

McLeod log cabin

5 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 12

“Rustic Elegance and Nature abounds” Our family had a special reunion in the Gil's and Cubby cabins. We were already very familiar with the area but we thrilled and completely satisfied with the cabins. They were comfortable and totally stocked with everything we needed. They were beautifully decorated, clean, and extremely well laid out for our diverse group. Plenty of room to be together and apart...! Lovely sights of deer in the front yard and the bears checking the trash cans in the middle of the night. The cabins are in walking distance to some amazing fishing on the Boulder River. Hope to return often.
